Westones headphones are the only in ear buds that aren't custom shaped that I find comfortable. I tried so many shure snd sennheizer ear buds, they all sounded great but man, they weren't comfy for my ear at all. Which is why I really appreciate westones designs
0:52... no such thing as burn in for armature drivers. If you hear a difference, it's your ears getting accustomed to the sound/you found tips that suit you best. If burn in was a thing (which it's not) and was needed to make the IEM's sound their very best, don't you think Westone would mention it in the manual ? They don't.
Thank you very much for this video, sir. What can you say about the comfort of the Westone MACH 80? Where would you put it on the IEM tier list comparing with the Sennheiser IE 900, IE 600 and Shure SE846 Gen 2? Anybody else has the answer as well?
Sony IER-M9 is soooooo much better than any Westone iem. It has both higher resolution and better tuning, and it comes with a balanced cable as well as SE.

agreed! they nearly disappear when I wear it for hours. If they were wireless I wouldn't even know they are in my ears. lol...
Great video. I've been watching you for years, and purchased many headphones with your advice.

How do these compare kz as10?
try some eartips made from AZLA such as SednaEarfit, they have way better clearity
Nice but I can't find a single frequency chart.. How someone will have a view if he can't try them?
Is this company still alive?
LMAO
Nope. Not as far as competition goes. Another company murdered by chifi.
For real. Their website has been garbage for years.
Siiiick
So should I try W80 or W80 v2 first?
there is a great price on v3 on Amazon right now if you don't mind "like new" used. Check link in the video.
Thanks for the review. I'm looking for IEM for playing live music.
When i hear "you need a very good quality dac, amp for them"- i already know they are poorly tuned.
not true... it just means they are so transparent that you can hear the flaws of your gear. This is common with flagship headphones and speakers.
Westone is far behind the comp nowadays.
@@HiFiInsider no it's not. Not nowadays. Flagships today sound awesome from a cell phone but just scales with better gear
