Every party could do this. But they are all short sighted to the extent that they think people are fools and just throw them some biscuits and win elections and enjoy accumulating money looted from public for their own family. People were also like that. Unless there is someone who shows the world that he can do the same things differently. But the vested interests in Plolitics won't allow such a person to win elections and people don't want to trust a new person. So only one family rules the country or states till now

Thanks for having the CEA of our country on the show 🙏👏 Such an humble and connected to the roots person in an influrncial position in Modi govt! Explained economics in simple terms for the ordinary citizens .. something school teachers should emulate 👏👏 also impressed by his prowess on the Hindi language despite being from Southern India.. as the Host I feel Ranveer was reductive of the guest's right wing affiliation and Modi govt achievements.. this is possibly because he may be trying to stay in the center and keep all his guests and viewers of all political affiliations happy... Although it is unfair to the guest in the room if you cannot completely and openly appreciate their achievements.. would love to hear from this eminent personality again 🙏

I enjoyed the conversation. But you can ask some deeper questions around
    1. How is India working to accelerate Manufacturing. Make in India is good but the results haven't been great.
    2. Why has debt to GDP expanded so much in last few years?
    3. Balance of trade with other countries
    4. Stock market frenzy and sensex appreciation
    5. Government's huge interest expenditure in budget

    • @sankaruob
      @sankaruob 8 месяцев назад

1.Make in India is not a short term plan. Earlier we were mostly importing even goods which were not technically complicated. So projects like Make in India requires at least 25 years to yield permanent and huge dividends.
2.Debt to a GDP is increasing because infrastructure creation requires huge funds. No government can bring such money from its own resources. So naturally borrowings increase as well as service cost of the loan increases. But the results come after a long time. For example, a person who has taken a loan for a house has the burden of paying EMI. His burden will be more in the initial years because earnings will not increase in the short term. But in the long run he gets increment promotion when it is not very difficult tobpay EMI. The same thing applies to a nation.
      4. Balance of trade and stock market changes are indicators of the economy. But many times stock market is manipulated and at such times they are not indicators of economy
Govt. huge interest expenditure is like EMI. It is not a expenditure in real terms but an investment for the fiture.
All governments including economies like US borrow for infrastructure building. They borrow on the one hand but spend a lot of money in supplying military equipments to regimes whom they want to control. They never think instead of giving alms reduce the borrowing. That is how it is.

It was very informative interview. Please include "Sridhar Vembu" sir and "Guru Murty" sir also in your list. They have a very profound understanding of economics and how to develop India. It will be really nice to see them on TRS or BeerBiceps.
Further in my opinion such interviews "must" be more longer. 1 hour is just not enough. In my opinion 2-2.5 hrs podcasts on such topics will be really good. Also, I would suggest to have translated copy of all the podcasts in major regional languages. This will have a multiplier effect of the content. It doesn't take too much effort to generate voice over translated versions of this video in select 5-6 regional Indian languages. And release them in region specific channel.
Also, I would like to see more entrepreneurs in the podcasts, sharing their stories, their experiences of different govt policies and the affect of governance on ground level. By entrepreneurs, I don't just mean unicorn startups or multinationals, a lot SMBs , heavy industries, cottage industries , garment industries, manufacturing industries will have a very good stories to share with us.

Loved the comparison between family budget and national budget. It would have been a great learning to see how much is common between the two budgets and what parts are different (macro vs micro economics)
If possible make this into a series on financial awareness ie how to balance *resources, time and effort* between *short, medium and long term investments* whether at a family or national level.
What I learned from my parents was to create monthly budget using paper envelopes to divide money for different expenses and savings. This taught me that you can't have the expense and the saving too (have the cake and eat it too).
We also tried a short experiment where we would get "paid" for doing different household chores (only to be discontinued with the reason that we were working for ourselves anyway). But we learned the value of work.
Then we kept a piggy bank to save loose change leftover from visits to shops. This taught us that "small drops make a pond".
Today I teach the kids to invest gifts from relatives or piggy bank savings in Mutual Fund units and let them see how their money is growing say once in six months.

KS Sir is highly knowledgeable and practical personality
So simple question r asked, it is better to learn from 12th teacher inspite of wasting the time of intellectual caliber
In somple words we want complexity of world economy in simple terms but whole episode is 10th, 11th type student level understanding
Still I respect KS sir,s simplicity
Cant u ask what is difference between US and Indian economy and what to do, thought processes of people, why Modi govt is building so rapidly, where indian student should learn best economy, why India s still poor

Sir aapne pdhi hai kevl 11 12 me economics.. Pr har kisi ne nahi pdhi. And podcasts general criterian se bnayi jati hai for larger mass.
Ye koi personal seminr nhi h economic students ke liye.
And part 1 is always the beginner friendly.
Aas pados ke koi uncle ya mere papa hi dekhe vo aam janta ko aam bhasa aam topic hi smjh aayege aur vo hi ek level pr unke kaam ke hai.
Aur is podcast ka kevl aim students bccho ya especially commerce students ko consult krna nhi blki aam janta, tk pahuchna aur unhe smjh aana hai
