Great film of the Doors early in their career, Jim is in fine form, young, vibrant, and with great sideburns I might add, also interesting seeing Robby playing a different guitar and not his signature Gibson SG, John and Ray look good as well, very cool film. 1967 was an epic year for the Doors.

That's incredible that this footage from the Fantasy Fair somehow turned up. This rock festival actually pre-dated Monterey Pop by a week. Hopefully more can be located and edited into some sort of release for public consumption.

Just reading Robbies autobiography. He said after an argument with his (married) girlfriend he forgot his SG at home. So he borrowed the 335 from I believe Jerry Garcia. Ironically it’s the guitar he originally wanted to get, but couldn’t afford it so he got the SG.

Not trying to be annoying. I just found this out myself, but that would be an es-330. Just a teeny bit extra info to your fun fact.

Interesting to see Robby Krieger playing that ES 335, as every other clip I've ever seen of the Doors, he plays an SG.

The P-90 pickups make it a fully hollow body ES 330. The ES 335 had humbucking pickups mounted into rectangular block of solid wood to reduce feedback.

In his autobiography, it's stated that he borrowed Jerry Garcia's ES 335 because he forgot his SG after an argument with his girlfriend. Apparently he wanted an ES 335 in this first place

This film footage of The doors performing live (June 10 1967) must have been shot from a private source.and recently donated and uploaded onto RUclips because I have never seen this film footage of the Doors before and I've seen a whole hell of a lot of film footage of The Doors both on and off stage. There's one thing that is not disclosed about this live film footage. Nothing is mentioned about where this concert took place. The title states " Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival " But that doesn't mean anything. What is Fantasy Fair and which Magic Mountain Festival. There are several Magic Mountain music festivals. Which one!

The first time I've ever seen Ray playing from Stage Left, rather than the right side, which is where he was always situated in all the footage I've seen of the Doors down through the years. Q: Do any hard core Doors completists happen to know why?
