    Available Now: mercury-studios.lnk.to/DoorsR...
Combining early TV appearances with their own music films it illustrates how The Doors evolved from the constraints of late sixties television to a point where they had the creative input and power to shape how they were portrayed on screen. Throughout the unique charisma and talent of The Doors comes across, whether it be on a lightweight pop show or on a film created from their own imaginations, along with some of the most influential music ever made.

He is a genius... my favorite video of him- I mean that hair is GORGEOUS!!! He actually died form a combination of asthma medication and drinking NOT heroin- he had a fear of heroin an needles and did NOT approve of his girlfriend using it. He thought drugs were 'low class' and liquor was 'high class'- he was embarrassed that he could not understand or speak even simple French while living in Paris, yet his IQ was somethinng like 173 in his teen years. He was too embarrassed to ask about the directions with the medication and couldn't read them in Paris as they were in French and that is what killed him, It saddens me people still belive the dumb stories/scenario that he took heroin because his girlfriend used it --NO he was dead set against that even wtih her, and threatend to break up with her about it in his last days. I genuinely don't think I have heard anything more beautiful than Jim's voice at 2:13! Jim was obviously a beautiful man, probably one of the most beautiful males to ever walk the earth, but I think his voice is extremely underrated! Most people don't know this, but Jim hated being known for his looks, he hated being a sex symbol. He wanted to be taken more seriously for his singing/songwriting abilities and his poetry. And that is what we should do in his memory, it's what he wanted. There is no question in my mind that he is probably the sexiest man to ever live, but let's admire him for his incredible abilities because that's what he wanted.

But Dusty was so cool and sweet, just like Jim and he would get up on our dining room table when Touch Me came on, and he would dance so original, so good and cool and he had a special belt (not conchos) but he had this different belt I have never seen since and he would put the buckle on the side of his pants, it looked cool, he was cool and I will never forget him and many of my friends from back there. This is a stunningly beautiful performance. Nowadays the artists would lipsynch to the studio original or lip synch to a pre-recorded "live" performance, and use synthesizers for string and horn sounds, but this act brought out the big guns, live for all (special kudos to the silver strings).
The performance was breathtaking, from the keyboards, amazing drums, perfect horns, sax solo, and the unpretentiously cool and sexy, visually and auditorially towering singer.
I love the point where, maybe Jim Morrison was so into the incredible live music, that his moment to return to vocals came, and as PROOF POSITIVE of his live performance, he had to rush back in to sing, and sing he most certainly did!

Many years ago, I was driving my daughter and her friends to ski club. They were listening to an old doors concert. Jim Morrison was telling everyone they had to sit down and stop dancing. I remembered the concert. I was there. The kids could not believe my daughter’s mom could have been cool enough to see the Doors.

The doors were in a league of their own, musically ahead of their time, with cutting edge songs and out of this world lyrics. The Doors songs were adventuresome and daring.

Morrison is taking his performance very seriously, showing an enormous respect for the other musicians who've joined the band for this as well as his bandmates (not something he always did due to his excessive drinking.) but I wonder who gave Robbie that black eye.

I agree! Weird to think that that look really didn't become the typical rock star gear until the 80's. He was wearing leather when everyone else was wearing paisley and polyester . Morrison was way ahead of his time.
