Very well explicated, I am using this video of two forms ... first learning about the tools of the Quality department and second training my english with your dialogue paused and clear. Thank you teacher for your help.
Hello Mr. Segelken 3 months ago when looking for information on Quality Management. I came across a video of yours on Udemy and after watching your first video I thought you had the best videos out of all the courses on Quality Management. And recently when I was looking for information, I noticed that you have a channel and it made me very happy. Hopefully, I will finish all the videos here and then I will start to watch others on udemy. I hope you continue to share your knowledge. Best regards from Turkey
Great video. And I like the way you ask for subscription based on VALUE. Everyone can ask for it just because they made a video, thereby ignoring if it had actually helped audience in gaining knowledge.
@@qualityguru9047 thanks Florian for asking. I am about to graduate master studies in Germany. Assuming that you're from Germany, I would like to know the types of certifications and institutes available for career starters in quality management sector (especially automotive) for gaining knowledge and present ourselves as an asset for the company during recruitment. After preliminary research, I have come to know about DFQ, REFA, etc. but the prices are exorbitant for a student. So, it would be great to make a video about those and also alternate options available equivalent to above institutes for the students. Thanks for your time and appreciate your consideration.
Great video, having been a SQE and SQA for Ford, and now the Aerospace industry (Raytheon, Lockheed Martin) you are spot on, sir. I like that you spoke about Phased PPAP. Actually, PPAP is really the 19 elements of APQP, PSW (The Hand Shake of the process), and a few more documents would consist of a full APQP.
Very useful and understandable explained. I have a question and would be happy if I get the answer. Regarding the responsibilities of a Quality Engineer in preparing the PPAP documentations, which documents should be performed by a Quality Engineer? Specifically for the preparing of PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and Process capability, is this the Quality Engineer who is responsible for implementing these documents? I appreciate your early reply.
Hello @justice4allpeople, that depends and there is no black and white answer as different organizations and their leaders might have different ideas and philosophies. In some organizations the quality department is taking a more active role and is leading the activities described by you. In other organizations, the quality department might only make sure that the documents are properly created and the process owners are responsible to create & provide the documentation. In the end it should be a team work. Who has the lead can be easily defined in a RACI (or RASIC) matrix. If not properly defined, people might push around the task and avoid responsibility. I can only assume that's why you are asking for guidance, nevertheless every organization needs to define this for themselves. So if it is not clearly defined, maybe you could prepare such a RACI matrix and sent it around allowing the responsible persons to comment and agree / disagree. Maybe 80% of the points can be agreed on directly. The other 20% of critical items can be discussed involving higher level decision makers (manager / director / whoever it is) to help defining the responsibility, then every department needs to prepare the resources and deliver accordingly. Please let me know if this is helpful for you & good luck
Hello Florian, Here I have a questions. The PPAP or PPA documentation is the same if we are discussing about electronics components?(such as resistors, uC, I.C. and so on)?
Hi Dexter, thanks for asking! The purpose of the PPAP or PPA is to document that all requirements are met before starting to ship. And that the production process is controlled to garantuee quality over lifetime. As the requirements for every commodity are different also the evidence you can ask for is different. If you are customer and want to have a general idea about what to ask for, you can look at previous generations of the product and take those documents as a guidance. Additionally you can take the product specification and ask for evidence that the requirements are met (test reports, etc). Also consider lessons learned from defects of the past years and how to prevent them. If you are a supplier you can do the same and propose a content to your customer or ask directly what scope they want to see. A problem could be that customers tend to ask for more because it makes them feel more secure and that suppliers want to give less, because it might safes effort. Is this answering your question?
Hey Vasily, what a coincidence - just googled it because I had never heard it , the guy seems to be super famous getting 450 million views on his song , here the link for everybody who likes a bit different entertainment, enjoy 😉🇯🇵ruclips.net/video/Ct6BUPvE2sM/видео.html
Look man, I really appreciate your efforts here. I do. You don't have to do these. But you don't seem to give EXAMPLES, walking through Concept X, so I don't really learn much. Maybe you charge for examples elsewhere? Is that it?
Hello Craigmeyer, thanks for your comment. In general l, this channel is my hobby, although I am continuously build some courses. I understand that you are suggesting that for each item of the Ppap I should show maybe an example of potential documents that you can use to answer to that request? Let me see what I can do in future videos , thank you for the hint
@@qualityguru9047 I appreciate all of it, so no worries here. But yes, your videos always leave me with "Yeah, but what are you actually talking about?" A volunteer effort means no obligation, though. You don't have to do this at all, but you do, and thank you.
