Excellent Music, Excellent Skating, Excellent Kurt Browning. Figure skating is my life-time favourite for a sport to watch, well it is more an art than a sport. Keep Skating Kurt.
The following year at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, k.d Lang from Alberta would sing her gorgeous rendition of this song in the opening performance.
it does not get any better than this. There was a time when skaters skated to classical music, and that was that. Now we get to enjoy both sides of the perfomance. Hallelujah indeed
So those complaining about the song: why would you watch a video with The Tenors singing Hallelujah if you A. Don’t like the singing group B. Don’t like the song? It literally tells you in the title so stop being so ridiculous.
Would have liked to see all of Kurt Browning's skating. The interruption of the views of the singers , was disappointing to a fan of figure skating. I appreciate the music but don't need to see the singers to hear it but missed the skating that was happening when they panned away.
I never understood why they do not use a different camera position so you can see both or add some image overlap and even split screen in cases like this. I saw this done really well in only one live singing & skating video from Japan (ruclips.net/video/ZFqF6Ufkces/видео.html)
I wasn't a fan of the singing. Don't get me wrong they were good but that song is a difficult one to take on. I agree, I wanted to see K.B. whole performance.
Hallelujah is a very sexual song. It never fails to amuse me when people sing it as a Christmas. It is about lust. Pure and simple. Biblical lust. David and Bathsheba, Samson and Delilah. They took out the darker verses but anyone who has listened to Mr Cohen sing these songs can think of it as "holiday music "
Hate the song. Not the worst version I have heard. But sublime skating from one of the best. I would rather have watched the skating, with the voices as an overlay rather than a cut away. Rather wrecked the idea that you would see a beautiful skating piece, rather than just effortless jumps, a camel spin and a toe turn.
wish they wouldn't have kept cutting back to the singers i feel like we missed half of Kurt's performance and it totally ruined the flow of it...shitty job CBC
Kurt Browning is in a class of his own.....he is what
you call what makes greatness!
Kurt is the best of the best. I could watch him skate all night. Well done maestro!

Keerist......I want his hair back!!
Too many views of the singers and not enough of the skating. And nobody sings Hallelujah better than Leonard Cohen himself.

KLANG does. Leonard Cohen said so.

Too much showing the singers, not enough of the skating
