Ahhh, I knew I should re-watch more of these older videos. I didn’t really understand about these push-rim covers because I don’t really know the parts of a wheelchair (as I am A-B). After watching your hubby doing “Day in The Life” video, I understand better. I wondered how easy/hard is to get propulsion and now I think I know.

As you were talking about drinking water...it dawned on me my electrolyte balance may be because of my spinal cord injury...so I checked. 'Uncontrolled hyponatremia may lead to lethargy, seizures, coma, cardiac arrhythmia and death. Therefore, the complication of hyponatremia should be paid attention after cervical spinal cord injury. A careful monitoring of sodium levels after the injury is required in the cases of cervical spinal cord injury.

@@EmpoweredPara thanks for the kind wishes...I'm sure there's a reason this is happening. It's probably a complication from a cervical spinal injury. I mean that caused the bad hip and bad leg to fuse and the autonomic dysreflexia from that also causes an electrolyte imbalance...so, I guess if you were in the states celebrating Thanksgiving...be thankful you broke your back and not your neck. But be aware, as you age, things like arthritis and stenosis will set in...so be on the look out now for easier ways to do things.

They even have negative sounding commercial things...'Black' anything just denotes a negativeness. America 🙄. Commercialism take the true spirit away. Make money, make money, make money...just makes things rushed and uncomfortable. Just be happy for each other. But I have some tips to go along with your list Brittney 😉.
    1) The gift of fitness...just eat good, decent (non junk) foods and do more exercise.
    2) Push rim covers...well, would be a good idea...they will make your rims look decent...they will make wheelchairs easier to push for people with no hand function. However, keep in mind, many in wheelchairs are on a limited budget...and besides the draw from you Brittney, they can't afford these...again commercialism.
    3) Tire socks...you know they are going to tear up...again, money we don't have. I use a shop vac (the blowing hook on spot) and a towel
    4) Reacher: Cup holder
    5) Cup:...yeah, 4 and 5 are necessary.
    6) Reacher: TOTALLY necessary. I have one in every room.
    7) Cutting board--I LOVE what your quad friend, Margaret suggested, put a rolled towel under it to make the board easier and more level. I have been using this faithfully.
    8) Heating blanket: great idea...they also have electric bed warmers you put under the bottom sheet.
    9) Hand warmer: be careful, these have been known to catch fire. A hot water bottle is better.
    10) Lighted toque: Great idea..I just bought a head lamp. I always walk my service dog at night and have a safety vest on the back of my chair as well.
    11) Gloves...super idea...LOL...GLOVE THIEF 🤣.
    12) Neck massager: (your number 13 is really number 12) I also have one you stick in the mic...it's made with oats. I also have one made with rice.
    13) book: Sadly, Squirmy and Grubbs are not a real couple. I saw them behind the scenes and she can't stand him...that makes it sad. Again, it's a money thing 😪.
    14) headphones: I never use them...I heard they were bad for the hearing.
    15) Roomba--waste of money. I have a lightweight, cordless vacuum. INSE...out of business now, but I don't know why. GREAT tip for if you have a power wheelchair...or power assist wheels: get a shop vac...they have two hose connections...one sucks up dirt and one blows dirt out. The blower is great to dry the chair of it gets wet. The suction part is great for cleaning casters. They aren't a lot of money and probably act a lot better than more expensive vacuums.
    16) Wheelchair blanket: a waste of money in my opinion. I use a sleeveless vest and tuck it under my legs. Wheelchair blankets are just too expensive for people on a limited budget and can be quite hard to put on. Especially if you have to go to the bathroom really bad.
C Complex powder works GREAT to stop bleeding. Be careful buying from Asian countries. You are supporting their economy for this germ warfare. It's NOT a virus. If Jamie puts her head under a towel with hot water running and breathes in the steam...it will help with her cold. I know I'm using my Nebuliser tonight. How long does Albuterol last before it expires? I've had mine 2 years.
