    No one ever remembers what a cheese grater the enemies who had this gun in Syphon Filter Omega Strain were. They see you for like 2 seconds and you're done, son.

    Mauser had absolutely nothing to do with the development of the G11. As a matter of fact Mauser tried on two separate occasions (once in 1973 and once in 1977) to develop their own competing caseless/sabot rifle to *defeat* the G11 in military trials. Gesellschaft für Hülsenlose Gewehrsysteme (Corporation for caseless rifle-systems) was a conglomerate of three brands: Heckler & Koch (project lead brand and engineering and refinement of the rifle), Dynamit Nobel (design and production of the ammunition), and Hensoldt: a subsidiary of Ziess (optics and sighting).

    Awesome Vid, had no Idea the design was so old. I thought it was from the 1980's Advanced Rifle Competitions and that was it.

      Who cares, it's easy af to tap in a small piece of 1913. Not like it matters you'd have to pay around 50k to get one of these and it'd have to be pre 1986--If you're in the us

    An LMG version of this with 300 round magazines out of caseless ammunition that only weights half as much as standard nato rounds??? Are you kidding me? You would have had alot more bang for your buck with more ammo, and lighter weight, but still have that kind of fire power. Thats insane, how tf did this weapon ever fail?

      So far as I know they fixed cook-off problem, but the program was stopped due to NATO incompatibilities.

      The only thing that prevented the G11 to be adopted by the Bundeswehr was the german reunification.
      There were no mechanical complications with it, neither did the G11K2 have problems with cook offs

    • @NexusIncorporation
      @NexusIncorporation 8 лет назад

      There is no G17 at the Program of H&K ever been the only compilant is the 417 which is Basically the a Conversion of the Colt or Springfield M4 to root out the trouble of share magazines we had especially in the nato and in Missions where mixed teams (US,DE and or UK) was presend ;)

    I wouldn't call the last three "spin-off weapons" since Heckler and Koch still designed and produced them.

      +pec1739 Every gun that uses somewhat modern ammunition could shoot in space, there is no problem with that.

    This could the the father of FN90.

    • @NexusIncorporation
      @NexusIncorporation 8 лет назад

      Not at all, The P90 uses the exact same "Round-Rotation" system as the G-11 does. The difference is the P-90 rotate the round horizontal and the G-11 rotate it vertical and of course the Chambering is diffrent 4,75X33mm (G11) and 5,72x28mm (FN P-90)

    builds guns without a vertical grip to be held for stability. doesn't sell any of those to any military what so ever.

  • @kanan348

    Its proven that complex designs like this one are not suitable for this ages conflicts . They are simply not reliable in any shape or form .

    • @jmantime
      @jmantime  10 лет назад

      should have been chambered for conventional ammunition

    • @kanan348
      @kanan348 10 лет назад +2

      jmantime It couldnt have been because it uses caseless ammo .

    • @zoltancsikos5604
      @zoltancsikos5604 10 лет назад +5

      The weapon has been found to be 'exceptionally reliable'. Reliability isn't an issue. Your argument is ignorant and invalid.

      go check what you need to do to reload this riffle and you will get your answer ...

    • @LouisAndPillz
      @LouisAndPillz 8 лет назад

      chris ganoglou All you need to do is just slap in a new clip up top.
      If you're talking about topping up your mags, then sure, that takes extra work because you need a new tool, but if you're getting shot at you're not going to be topping up your mags anyways.
