No one ever remembers what a cheese grater the enemies who had this gun in Syphon Filter Omega Strain were. They see you for like 2 seconds and you're done, son.
Mauser had absolutely nothing to do with the development of the G11. As a matter of fact Mauser tried on two separate occasions (once in 1973 and once in 1977) to develop their own competing caseless/sabot rifle to *defeat* the G11 in military trials. Gesellschaft für Hülsenlose Gewehrsysteme (Corporation for caseless rifle-systems) was a conglomerate of three brands: Heckler & Koch (project lead brand and engineering and refinement of the rifle), Dynamit Nobel (design and production of the ammunition), and Hensoldt: a subsidiary of Ziess (optics and sighting).
Who cares, it's easy af to tap in a small piece of 1913. Not like it matters you'd have to pay around 50k to get one of these and it'd have to be pre 1986--If you're in the us
An LMG version of this with 300 round magazines out of caseless ammunition that only weights half as much as standard nato rounds??? Are you kidding me? You would have had alot more bang for your buck with more ammo, and lighter weight, but still have that kind of fire power. Thats insane, how tf did this weapon ever fail?
The only thing that prevented the G11 to be adopted by the Bundeswehr was the german reunification. There were no mechanical complications with it, neither did the G11K2 have problems with cook offs
There is no G17 at the Program of H&K ever been the only compilant is the 417 which is Basically the a Conversion of the Colt or Springfield M4 to root out the trouble of share magazines we had especially in the nato and in Missions where mixed teams (US,DE and or UK) was presend ;)
so this is the gun rumored to be able to shoot in space. thanks global ops, fallout 2 (although they have the magazine loaded at the wrong place in fallout 2)
Not at all, The P90 uses the exact same "Round-Rotation" system as the G-11 does. The difference is the P-90 rotate the round horizontal and the G-11 rotate it vertical and of course the Chambering is diffrent 4,75X33mm (G11) and 5,72x28mm (FN P-90)

chris ganoglou All you need to do is just slap in a new clip up top. If you're talking about topping up your mags, then sure, that takes extra work because you need a new tool, but if you're getting shot at you're not going to be topping up your mags anyways.

Didnt know about the g11 pistol thing , but thank you for making this video it was verry insightful and informative
damn kraut space magic gun.
i just said that on another g11 vid

Awesome Vid, had no Idea the design was so old. I thought it was from the 1980's Advanced Rifle Competitions and that was it.
All these comments from CoD black ops kids. Real men remember this as the best smg in Fallout 2.
Some of the prototypes looks very similar to the gun, Simon Phoenix gets in the museum in Demolition Man :)
I think they are
G11 looks like some futuristic alien gun.
This pleases my Koch
Жаль так до ума и не довели... Классное вышло бы wunderwaffe.
Love this dramatic music
Did this gun ever have a vertical foregrip?
a vertical fore-grip ?
You know a handle that points downwards in front of the gun.
Fell Man I don't think so, my in the original blue-prints but not in the actual production prototypes
the lmg one looks like it has a folding one
Who cares, it's easy af to tap in a small piece of 1913. Not like it matters you'd have to pay around 50k to get one of these and it'd have to be pre 1986--If you're in the us
my fav is the steyr AUG
Black Ops 1 is the best COD ever
haha, oh man, a couple of this illustrations and photos were done by people i know by person...
any body remeber the 3rd delta force game and how a complete win this gun was ???
+fonkyman gun was insane!
The spinoffs were not spinoffs h&k were experimenting with case less ammo
I think this gun or some variant of it is in the Chaser game.
ah kraut space magic

Such a shame because it’s such a cool weapon.
So far as I know they fixed cook-off problem, but the program was stopped due to NATO incompatibilities.
cold war finished, cost was too great. Than NATO pressure to the 5.56
the cook off
The only thing that prevented the G11 to be adopted by the Bundeswehr was the german reunification.

Love H&K products. But, have to agree... too complex for combat scenarios.
it later become the well known g17
g17? glock 17?
don't think so HK=german, Glock=Austrian
There is no G17 at the Program of H&K ever been the only compilant is the 417 which is Basically the a Conversion of the Colt or Springfield M4 to root out the trouble of share magazines we had especially in the nato and in Missions where mixed teams (US,DE and or UK) was presend ;)
it a fucking bad joke mate
My love of life gun. at least i got a copy of it at home, so i can do.... things...
I wouldn't call the last three "spin-off weapons" since Heckler and Koch still designed and produced them.
The experimantel revolver assault rifle that shoots 30 rounds 4,900 rpm
Oh, I have photo's of that gun already :)
Cool. Where did you find it is it clear photos the one I found is very blurry :(
zach Hansen a Russian website called , I also found the original prototype
zach Hansen Oops wrong gun, the gun I'm talking about is a Russian Dual Cycle Rifle from 1940's
The one I'm talking about is made in the USA
The gun looks like a giant pistol
so this is the gun rumored to be able to shoot in space.
thanks global ops, fallout 2 (although they have the magazine loaded at the wrong place in fallout 2)
+pec1739 Every gun that uses somewhat modern ammunition could shoot in space, there is no problem with that.
This could the the father of FN90.

Man the wa2k
It sucks that it was either this or the g36
Why? The G11 Was a very good weapon. The G36 is too, but not as good as the G11
builds guns without a vertical grip to be held for stability. doesn't sell any of those to any military what so ever.
I want to believe.
Its proven that complex designs like this one are not suitable for this ages conflicts . They are simply not reliable in any shape or form .
should have been chambered for conventional ammunition
jmantime It couldnt have been because it uses caseless ammo .
The weapon has been found to be 'exceptionally reliable'. Reliability isn't an issue. Your argument is ignorant and invalid.
Zoltan Csikos Prove your point .

From black ops 1!
i came here because bo1 lol
goddamnit NATO
epic fail ...reloading this in a real combat equals death!
+chris ganoglou Why?
go check what you need to do to reload this riffle and you will get your answer ...
chris ganoglou All you need to do is just slap in a new clip up top.
If you're talking about topping up your mags, then sure, that takes extra work because you need a new tool, but if you're getting shot at you're not going to be topping up your mags anyways.
as an x marine...i would never use this in a combat
+chris ganoglou As an ex nothing, I doubt that a marine would have as awful grammar as you do.
