    Your videos are excellent! You don't drone on and on, you move through the steps quickly and you have a close-up view so it's easy to see, thank you!! (also, you don't have ridiculously long crazy fingernails. Watching people with long acrylic nails try to pick up a bead on a video is excrutiating!)

    Can you reopen them to adjust the cord further?

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  4 месяца назад

      Hi! Sorry for the late reply! Unfortunately, once they're fully crimped they're pretty hard to remove without ruining them. But you can always attach an extender chain after the fact if you want to make an adjustable necklace!

    Hello I am trying to find a tutorial on how to add a pendant to one of those premade leather look cords where the clasps are already attached? Do I have to remove the crimps etc and then re attach? I was hoping not to have to do this? If you could point me to a tutorial for this I would really appreciate it, Thankyou. (yes I am a beginner)

    Hi! I got some jump rings from Hobby Lobby. They seem too weak. Did I buy junk and can you recommend a strong jump ring? I believe I purchased 6mm.
    Thanks for your time!

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  5 лет назад +1

      Hey there! Jump rings also come in various gauges (thickness of the wire) so it's possible the ones you got are just not the best ones for your particular project. If you like the 6mm diameter but need more strength, you can look for a heavier gauge jump ring. The lower the gauges, the thicker the wire... so for example if yours are 20g, try 18 gauge and see what you think.
      You may not find the variety you need at Hobby Lobby so you can try Amazon or even Etsy for lots more options.
      I hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    Could you tell me how much it would cost to make a leather or cord necklace?

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  9 лет назад

      Hi Willie McCowan, are you wanting to make one yourself? I would think you should be able to make one necklace for under $2. It will depend mostly on the material for the clasps - sterling silver will be much more expensive than silver plate or base metal, for example.
      If you would like me to make it for you I can certainly do that but it would be a bit more expensive to account for labor (and then add shipping). I'm happy to work with you on this - you can contact me through my etsy shop here: bespangledbeads.etsy.com (I also sell the supplies if you'd like to make some yourself).
      Thanks for your question!
      Jessica

    Question can you use regular crimps if the cord is thinner like a thin hemp cord?

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Theresa! If you have regular crimps that will fit your cord through twice then I think that could work! You can loop the cord through a clasp or a ring before going back through the crimp and securing it.

    How big are the jump rings?

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  5 лет назад

      Hi Remi! These are about 6mm. Other sizes will work too (like 4mm or 5mm) as long as your clasp will hook into them easily.
