As a single father, i came to this video to learn how to braid my daughter's hair flawlessly and believe me after 3-4 tries it was awesome. Even her teacher was impressed by this. Never felt this happy before.
I wanted to see how a precision version of this braid is made. Thank you; beautiful work. I usually make them from leather lace that I cut with scissors from offcuts, so mine are not so fancy. I do rub them smooth afterwards with oil and a rough cloth. I make handy shoulder bag straps with the offcuts from the little bags themselves, with a nylon paracord core for strength. Every craftsperson needs to know this cool 8 braid.
AAAA THANK YOU!!! I really want to make a gift for my boyfriend since he likes bracelets, but I wanted to do something homemade instead of bought, and this was an amazing demonstration! Thank you again!
quality in music, talented fingers, consideration of slow requests, clear and calm-polite conversations...May you grow by ten thousand viewers/students. In Alaska, we would braid yarn ties for otter or beaver and moose hide outer mitts so the ties attached to them and across the chest could not be blown down the Yukon River winter trail. My dad after WWII taught himself leather carving in belts and pocketbooks on a dude ranch in Catskills, New York while also a horse riding instructor and he would have loved your entire excellent web videos. Be very well.
Thank you so much! I’m making one for my son & his partner for Christmas You obviously love your craft & I am grateful Thank you again & many blessings to you!
See? Now THIS is ASMR for me, esp when you're cutting the leather so confidently, after measuring it, and also when you're chopping or slicing the leather as you've done for a curved edge, like with the iPods case and etc. It's got such a satisfying sound, like some musicians, & dj's who have, sampled a chopping sound in with a 'dominant' beat that's featured in many, many tunes maybe in last 10 years, (or more?), there's something comforting in subtly playing an action people know from somewhere, yet it's kind of under the radar too! Chop chop, I'm also back to cooking, at long last, but I'm still not as skilled at cooking as you are at making things I feel.
Sencillo, corto y muy bien explicado! los dibujos permitieron terminar de entender todo el procedimiento del trenzado, también noto que lo haces pausadamente por lo prolijo que sos con los detalles. Disfruté de ver tu video
Thank you so much for this tutorial it is easy to follow and understand, a lot better than the previous video. Will definetlitly be making one of these, you sir are a super star and thanks for listening to your subscribers.
Thank you so much for this video. I wanted to braid the noseband of my horse's rope halter like this but no matter where I looked I couldn't find any good instructions on how to do it so I already gave up on that idea. Now I couldn't sleep and found this gem at 3 am 😅🙏
This is called "regular herringbone plait" in whip making. Search using "whip making" on RUclips, and you'll get lots of vids (especially for paracord) that you can adapt.
All your work is very best I'm learning alot from your video thanks from bottom of heart ❤. I'm from India I started leather craft work with your inspiration.
Definitely worth watching. It would be interesting to use another type of cording also. Probably not as cool as the leather of course. Inspiring. Thanks.
Love the video and am going to give it a shot. I’ve done Spanish Ring bracelets in cotton cord and smaller paracord, but I’m unable to find clasps large enough to accept the ends. Can you share where you source your clasps? Thanks. Donald.
Hello. Everything is clear and understandable with the bracelet. Everything is shown well and clearly. You said that you can make a handle like this. Could you show how to finish it? What is instead of a lock?
Thank you for giving me my new hobby as of today! This is beautiful work, and I love how you gave the drawing and descriptions! I also subscribed! Thank you for this fun tutorial!
I’m here from a shorts video recommended by RUclips. They got it right! I loved watching the short and now I’m glad to see the tutorial here for the 8 strand braid. It looks so complicated at first glance, but you make it look very possible to do. I can’t wait to try it, and to see what other crafting videos you have. If I might ask, what kind of glue do you use? Do you have a favorite brand for the leather?
@@HahnsAtelier I’m glad I found it as well!! That braid looks so difficult by looking at it, but the way you explained it makes it look possible. I love the smell of leather. Perfect excuse to snag some and try to make a bracelet! Thanks for the glue name! Does it set fast? It looks like it might.
This is a wait worth waiting for. The braiding is taking the top strand and the weave it into the middle of the opposite strand? Is that correct? Thank you so much. I can take out my leather cord to practice now.
Muy bonito y ingenioso, gracias por esas ideas que nos transmite en tus vídeos, no me pierdo ni un video que sube al RUclips ,felicidades y éxitos en tus próximos vídeos, saludos desde Guayaquil - Ecuador
Like the lack of verbiage; Mikko Snellman did RUclips videos on various knotting techniques with no speaking, just music in the background. He went slowly and pointed what he was doing as he progressed through the project. Very easy to follow along. Your video is easy to follow as well; you’ve good lighting and contrast. Thanks for sharing your skills. Donald.

Big thanks!
