Thank you! I rewatched a few times, played with it and now I can tie a knot. Thank you again for your patience. You’re right, practice makes perfect. Bless you! Asé Amen A’ho!
Thank you sm for the video!!! The cord for a necklace I wear daily came untied and I was very distraught for a minute thank you for making such a cohesive tutorial
Wonderful, thank you! One of the knots of my slip knot necklace came undone, and your video was the one (after watching a few) that finally helped me understand how to tie it 😊🙌
thanks for this, i painted a dollar for the girl im talking with. we're gonna meet for the 2nd time and i was literally crying bcoz idk how to knot like this. now i got it thanks💟
Appreciate you! I watched other methods and I guess because my cord is small in diameter and length (precut rope and pendant bought on a whim), either the knots would get pulled too tight and I couldn’t slide them or I couldn’t do their methods because it was too hard without a lot of slack. Your method made it so much easier for me! I have one suggestion (and please feel free to ignore this if you are not looking for suggestions for your videos) for us who need the “knots for super dummies” speed 😂- if you slow down the speed during the second or two when you’re actually doing the tying motion, it might be a bit easier for us, the viewer to follow along. Hitting the rewind 10s function brings it back too far and trying to slide the slider bars just enough for that couple of seconds while also following in real time is so tedious lol. I’m just nitpicking here and either way you’re so helpful and I am grateful for your video! It was still informative and helped me! Thank you so much!
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for your feedback! Always looking at ways to improve. Such a fine line with video speed, users want very fast content these days! Thanks for watching 🌻
For the 50" length- Where does the pendant sit on a typical neck- chest without being adjusted? And does this knot allow the necklace to be worn higher up to the throat or do you suggest using less total length to accomplish this rather than the full 50". Just not sure how much it tightens and what it looks like when it does so. Drilling boulder opals for pendants, And let's just say i'm not knot/ necklace savy 😂 Australian opal cutter, novice jewelry making skills. Cheers
What length is a good one to make the initial starting cord for a guys necklace that typically wears the pendant just a couple inches below the t-shirt collar? It looks like 50 inches would be a bit too much waste maybe?? Great video and you definitely have better, clearer instructions than other videos I've watched. Thank you
Thanks for the video. I will be making something like this for my 7 year old daughter and this video is helpful. I see you are in Australia but it sounds like you have a Kiwi accent.
I have a premade sliding neckalce with a pendant. But I have a new pendant I’d like to try. Is there a way to undo a sliding necklace to add a new pendant?
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, just a question tho, I want mine to be more of a choker length at its tightest and have just above the cleavage at its longest, can you recommend how long my total cord should be? Thank you! 💕
Hi, love how easy is to make this, I have a question... a few months ago I bought a adjustable choker necklace and after a couple months just broke in two, tried to fixed but broke again. My question is what's the best durable material I can use for this type of necklace? Thank you!
Great question! I love leather but find it does break after a while. I find waxed cords more durable so try a waxed cotton or waxed polyester cord 1-2mm and it should last much better. Good luck! Thanks for watching 🌻
i have a kind of slippery silky cotton cord to use-and I've lost 2 pendants recently b/c the knot I tied just simply opened and the cord stayed around my neck and the pendant went bye bye. Do you think the slippery cord will work? what I'm hanging is kind of heavy.
See my other comment reply for the 1mm waxed twine or you can also use 2mm leather as seen in some of my other videos. Just depends the thickness you want. Good luck! creativefnk.com/products/2mm-leather-cord
Good supplies are hard to find! I mostly use 1mm waxed twine for sliding knot necklaces. You can find it on my website here creativefnk.com/products/1mm-waxed-twine
Are the knots together? Or near the pendant? You may need to untie them and retie them in a better position. You should be able to slide them to make it bigger or smaller, if not - the knots are in the wrong position and you need to re-tie them. Good luck 👍
literally took 1 watch and i made 10 of necklaces. thank you so so so much you are amazing! super easy explanation and straight to the point!
Thanks for the feedback! That makes me happy 😃 Glad my video was helpful. Thanks for watching 🌸
How do you get always same size for more of one specific necklace?
Thank you for this tutorial. It's exactly what I needed to make a necklace from a rose quartz my daughter gifted me. Feeling grateful today
How did you get the string attached to the quartz?

You can hit the settings button at the top of the video and it slows the video speed down for you. 😊

You can loosen the knot and slide it along the thread before pulling it tight again

I have the same problem, the leather cord I use is spliced together and always breaks at the splice. Frustrating for sure.

Hmmm slippery cord is a bit risky unless you can tie the knots super tight. I find a waxed twine is better because it grips without coming undone 🌻
thank you very much, can you send me the link where you buy the cotton cord? i cant find . thx
