Thanks for this video. I followed the instructions and it seemed to work out perfectly. After installation, I did need to delete my original profile and set up Apple CarPlay again. Once I set up the profile again, everything seems to work OK so far. I did notice on the new version of the software. The icons on screen seem to be about 50% larger. Not sure if this was meant to look this way, but it’s not really a problem. Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi, my friend! I want to update the software of my KIA Forte 2022 but If I do the Android auto will update as well.? I have many problems when I'm using google maps and Waze those just don't work correctly with the version I have now
Hi, do you thing I can use the update from the USA for my Seltos EX 2021 cause in Canada site, I've found only update for Seltos 2022, there's no 2021? I've tried USA, and Canadian versions of update, results: NO SUPPORTED FILES? What can I do?
Great tutorial, but I have a couple things to add. I realize this tutorial is from a couple years ago- so this might be the cause of some of my issues. To start I have a 2020 Telluride EX purchased when they just hit the lots. I had NEVER updated the Nav/Radio until now- so basically I had like the original firmware. I used a USB 3.1 and creating the USB stick is pretty straight forward, just takes a little time because it's like a 36GB file to download then copy to the stick. I insert the stick, start the car- everything is good- but it takes like and hour at least. So my car is running in the driveway for like an hour. I go out there thinking it's all done and when it rebooted, it started the process all over again. So being pissed, I turned off the car and removed the stick. I started the car and it seemed like it updated, but when I went to check navigation, it said it was corrupted- and it needed reinstalled. So I started over- but this time I wanted to see if the update would install if I started it while the car was on, then turned off the car. Well it does- not sure why no one ever mentions that the car does not need to be running after the update is initiated. Periodically I went back to the car to turn it on and check on the progress of the installation. When the install was on step 4 of 5 I waited this time in the car, it rebooted, said restoring data at one point (which I thought meant it might have failed- but that wasn't the case), then the screen came up to enter the profiles- at that point I removed the USB, and then everything worked correctly. From this experience I learned it takes way longer than 30 minutes if you're starting with a very old firmware, also at least on the Kia's, don't be surprised if it reboots and goes through the process again. And the most important (and this is in my case- not sure all vehicles will respond the same, so continue at your own risk)- once you get the process started with the car on, just turn the car off and leave it, come back every 15 min or so to check on progress.
Display Audio Updates are different than the Navigation updates which is what you seem to be describing. These updates are much smaller than the Navigation updates and take a little less time. Thanks for the comment though!
@@gak0090 Navigation and Display Audio updates are different. I have videos for each here on the channel. The process in car is the same but the file along with the download process is quite different.
