That catcher did nothing that any other catcher would do after a strike-out ending the game and he never should've been ejected. Obviously, the ump was looking for any excuse to hurt the catcher's team and he found one in an insignificant action of the catcher. The bad sportsman was the ump, not the catcher or the coaches.
+dannyhuskerjay Danny! Danny! Danny! Were you at this game? Do you personally know this catcher? If so you wouldn't have heard any trash coming from him... and you have no right whatsoever calling him a "little brat." I have no connection to the catcher other than my son had been playing on the same team with him when this took place almost four years ago, so I have nothing to gain by defending the kid or by misrepresenting what happened. If you know the catcher, you would also know "little brat" is the most inaccurate description of him anyone could ever come up with. Watch the two videos of him again and tell us exactly each instance where you think he's trash talking. You can't because there are none. The Tournament Director was right there in the stands and witnessed everything... the kid neither said nor did anything unsportsmanlike at all. The game was full of tension, not among the players, but among a couple of the coaches and a handful of fans in the stands, with the umpire and the catcher caught in the middle. And in the commotion following the last strike, the umpire simply misinterpreted what he thought he saw or heard from the catcher. Immediately, the Tournament Director, the umpires and the coaches all met and the umpire realized he had made a mistake and the kid's ejection was overturned. So unless you were there watching this game, or personally know this kid and his family, I suggest you craft your comments more carefully next time.

SOME of them did. It is troubling they did that to someone's kid, but the description does not add up. Think about it, people especially parents do not say to a kid, shut up, get out, and say he deserved it for no reason. His disconduct behavior might have been subtle, but most likely they would not have done it without any indication of provocation. @@brandoncolis3841 I played very competitive softball, and I can tell you that parents of opposing teams would most DEFINITELY say a kid deserved to be ejected just because they lost. The "mature" parents yelling get showed up by the kids who actually show some class at the end of the game by trying to shake hands with the other team.
I got talked into filling in when an Ump didn't show up once. The first time for me.The people sitting behind the fence questioned most of my calls I finished the game but never did it again. I know I missed some calls but.
I read the entire description of what took place here, and even if I hadn't read it, my mind would come to the same conclusion. The ump had an attitude problem with somebody on the team that won because unless the catcher said something that we can't hear, he did nothing wrong. That ump needs to do something that doesn't involve kids.
It was sick to hear the parents cheering at the kids ejection, but its also telling. The description was bias, there was clearly something going on and whatever that catcher did/said before the ejection was the last straw.
@@Sean-uh6te Well put. It was disgusting for the opposing parents to do that, but something must have led up to that to receive that type of reaction. I did appreciate the other parents attempting to defend him, but the kid must have said or did something throughout the game to receive the treatment he got.
I was an umpire for over 20 years. That was disgraceful. 3rd out walk away and leave the field, game is not about you, kid did nothing to show up the other team
I'm curious, given that you were an umpire for over 20 years, would you have ejected the catcher if he was taunting you after the final out? As a soccer referee, and a kid did something similar, I would give a yellow card. If the kid persisted, he or she would likely be given a red card.
I think it is a bit more than 57. It's certainly not meat either. The first time a radar was on him was three weeks later. He sat at 69-70 and touched 72. (ruclips.net/video/rTdeXqEXZsI/видео.html) Here a couple years later he was sitting 85-86 (ruclips.net/video/iipZoAfUu1g/видео.html&index=3) He went on to NCAA D1: ruclips.net/video/zME0y9fgYs8/видео.html
I watched all the other videos mentioned and without a doubt this man should not be umpiring ever again. He obviously has a beef with the coaches for this team and takes it out on the players which changed the outcome of the tournament.
Imaging being the parents in the stands cheering that this kid got thrown out. These dads and moms have never won a thing and it shows, they clearly have unresolved issues against winners.
Imagine being a parent and cheering that a kid got kicked out. Plus all he did is celebrate because he was proud and then the ump has to be a jerk (I mean he’s an ump so no surprise) and kick the kid out FOR NO DAMN REASON
I like how all the parents of the team that just lost were celebrating after the kid got ejected, and then some guy in the background saying, "grow up, grow up" those parents were crazy.
Exactly. I mean even the kid batting. I'm sure he doesn't feel any pressure from the adults behind him yelling to straighten it out. He knows where the ball is supposed to be hit, I don't think he needs reminding after every swing.
I mean would you rather 12 year old you had your parents scream profanities at you (and the other team) when you messed instead of encourage you? Or just sat on their phones? Those are two pretty close opposites and I can't imagine anyone wanting either really. I think it would be a pretty nice thing hearing your parents and family friends backing you up after a bullshit call.
If we were to ban parents from youth sports, maybe, just maybe, the kids would have much more fun! "Baseball was made for kids, and grown-ups only screw it up."...Bob Lemon
In the description, if you read it. Stated that the umpire is a good umpire, he had just either misheard or misunderstood what the kid had done. As a referee myself, there is a shortage of referees and umpires alike and it’s because of parents like you who want to throw away all of them
Youth sport parents ruin everything and their solution to every problem is to whine about "kids these days". Of course they want to play video games all the time, that's the only thing they can do without their parents looking over their shoulder and bitching. God forbid the parents get interested in video games also, they'll be forming $5k/yr traveling video game teams so their 10 year olds can face "the elite competition they deserve".
+madison young your allowed to do that, if the catcher is blocking the running lane, without going for the ball, you can hit them, if it scores a run, it scores a run
As a former Little League umpire, all I could do is watch this and shake my head. I won't attempt to apologize for the loss of control by the adults involved, but the ump's behavior is unforgivable. He seems to forget the most important point: We are there for the kids, not as a power trip for ourselves. The youthful exuberance I saw in no way justified his response. He should first, be ashamed and second, find another outlet for his spare time!
Thanks for your comment. I'm a high school soccer coach and was a ref for a long time as well. One of the main objectives of being a ref is to be invisible. You ref the game, you don't become a part of it. I've seen many refs hold grudges like you said and they "make up for it" later in the game or season. You are right, it is unforgivable and he should be ashamed of himself.
We didn't see the whole video. I once purposely hot 4 batters and right before that almost got in a fist fight on the mound but if you saw me get tossed and everyone cheering and that was all you saw you'd still think the same. The catcher obviously turns around and says something to either the ump or the people behind him and anytime you speak to an ump you're basically begging to get thrown out. Same still goes for the minors for me to this day.
This kid is a ballplayer! I'm a subscriber to this channel and have watched this kid's progress here on youtube for the last 6 years. Based on gret huskys other videos, it looks like his kid played for the Seattle Mariners scout team. Seems he ended up with a scholarship to play for San Jose State. I'm enjoying following this kid's baseball journey!
I think I will subrscibe as well and watch these videos and when the players go pro it would be so cool to go out and meet them and talk about how you watched them grow. More you than I, but all the same it would be an incredible thing to think about. Lately I have been really been getting excited while watching baseball and only have been able to pitch a couple of times to some people I know (who don't like to go out). Sadly I don't really have anyone to play any sports with so that is a bummer, but I look forward to watching more of these videos. OHH MY I just realized that this uploaded in 2012, I may have a bit of catching up to do :) Best of wishes
MrDTekisOnline, yeah he's pretty amazing. I hope he gets a good scholarship for it. When I was 11 I was an amazing pitcher myself. Even pitched a "no hitter" on my 6th game.
MrDTekisOnline, well I use to practice with my grand dad. But when he wasn't around I use to hang my glove on my fence, where the strike zone would be. Then just keep trying to hit it over and over again lol. I had like 50 balls in a bucket so I didn't have to chase after the ball every time I threw it lol. Over time accuracy and speed improves tremendously.

Michael Gooseking this isn't little league. It's at a field of dreams somewhere. probably a usssa game
Mikey Daniels usually usssa
Few things on the planet are as annoying as a mother at a little league game.

I thought the same thing. "Come on, straighten it out". Uh, did you watch that foul? It went straight back. I think that is the only saying she knows.
I got talked into filling in when an Ump didn't show up once. The first time for me.The people sitting behind the fence questioned most of my calls I finished the game but never did it again. I know I missed some calls but.
Yep.
I read the entire description of what took place here, and even if I hadn't read it, my mind would come to the same conclusion. The ump had an attitude problem with somebody on the team that won because unless the catcher said something that we can't hear, he did nothing wrong. That ump needs to do something that doesn't involve kids.
💯
2:04 The kid talked shit to the Ump pointed a finger and turned and talked shit like a little brat with no respect Watch the video
Still don't know why the catcher was ejected.
I watched this video 8 times and I finally found what he did wrong
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Horrible parents clapping at a kid getting thrown out is pretty sad.
The parents clapping for the ejections are the worst part of this videos
I'm thinking that the kid said something that we didn't hear. But in any case, what was he ejected from? The game was already over.
@@thomashoermann Game over doesn't matter. The kids know they have to be respectful for their entire time on the field.
I'm curious, given that you were an umpire for over 20 years, would you have ejected the catcher if he was taunting you after the final out? As a soccer referee, and a kid did something similar, I would give a yellow card. If the kid persisted, he or she would likely be given a red card.
Didn’t know Joe West called little league games in his spare time
Angel Hernandez like too
🥇
😂
Joe west is a moron
I thought it was Angel Hernandez myself... probably his and Joe Wests love child...
🤢🤢🤢
Anyone else confused how a vid from 2012 is showing up in your recommended in 2019?
Who else thought that was a real crowd in the back ground?
Landon Dude until I saw this comment I thought it was real lol!
Landon At first I did but then I realized it was fake
It's a Wrigley Field mockup. Awesome looking.
Landon true though.
Celebration? He jumped up a little bit. I didn't see any grandstanding too much. This is bullshit.
Those parents who clapped for seeing a kid be ejected... You are the problem with sports.
I would have gave those parents the middle finger
It was because they won, and tried to cheer them up. Good parents.
@@pengoo6048 You must have been one of the parents out there
This video was posted 8 years ago but we all got it recommended at once in 2020 how odd
I know it is odd
That kid throws gas 🔥⚾️
about 57 mph i believe. somewhere around there
Lyric Montoya that kid throws meat
I think it is a bit more than 57. It's certainly not meat either. The first time a radar was on him was three weeks later. He sat at 69-70 and touched 72. (ruclips.net/video/rTdeXqEXZsI/видео.html)
Here a couple years later he was sitting 85-86 (ruclips.net/video/iipZoAfUu1g/видео.html&index=3)
He went on to NCAA D1: ruclips.net/video/zME0y9fgYs8/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/zDPdrntCifg/видео.html
Very hittable
Don’t be mad at the Ump... be mad at RUclips for suggesting a video from 2012.
I watched all the other videos mentioned and without a doubt this man should not be umpiring ever again. He obviously has a beef with the coaches for this team and takes it out on the players which changed the outcome of the tournament.
Published 7 years ago and now RUclips recommends this....😐
"This is an otherwise good ump, but bad blood..." No, this is not a good ump. Ump in the moment, not the past or future. This is a bad ump.
Parents cheering about a 12 year old kid getting thrown out, pretty pathetic
They should be the ones thrown out. Baseball was always better in the backyard anyway. Organized leagues are cancer. Let kids play.
These kids play baseball year round,!they can handle it.
They were cheering that they just won the game
@@lucas15. then why did they say that he deserved it?
Okay YT, explain all these comments that were like 10 minutes ago.
Imaging being the parents in the stands cheering that this kid got thrown out. These dads and moms have never won a thing and it shows, they clearly have unresolved issues against winners.
A knuckle sandwich could be the prize.
Imagine being a parent and cheering that a kid got kicked out. Plus all he did is celebrate because he was proud and then the ump has to be a jerk (I mean he’s an ump so no surprise) and kick the kid out FOR NO DAMN REASON
Whoever told the parents grow up has all my respect
I like how all the parents of the team that just lost were celebrating after the kid got ejected, and then some guy in the background saying, "grow up, grow up" those parents were crazy.
Legend has it, Josh still has not straightened it out. He was last seen hitting hard to the right foul line with Karen still yelling at him.
Bruh I’m dead 🤣
😂😂😂😂
After reading the description screw that ump glad the catcher was brought back
NOBODY IS COMMENTING ON THAT PITCHERS ABILITY. KID THROWS SMOKE!
BECAUSE ITS NOT THE POINT ! catcher gets ejected for running forward after winning the game...idiot!

Took me a while to realize those people in the background where just painted on a board
What's more pathetic? The ump or the fans cheering a 12 year old getting thrown out of a game?
Those aren't parents cheering for their own kid. They're parents of kids on the other team cheering because a 12 year old kid got ejected.
Cameron Rudderham That's even worse. Shows the parents are taking the game more seriously than the kids are. As is the same with most sports.
If we were to ban parents from youth sports, maybe, just maybe, the kids would have much more fun! "Baseball was made for kids, and grown-ups only screw it up."...Bob Lemon
umpire should be ejected and never call another game. Unbelievable.
In the description, if you read it. Stated that the umpire is a good umpire, he had just either misheard or misunderstood what the kid had done. As a referee myself, there is a shortage of referees and umpires alike and it’s because of parents like you who want to throw away all of them
The fact that parents cheered that a 12 year old got ejected was sad
Rude that shits more common than you think dude try a soccer game lmao
Rude I know.
The worst part is the parents cheering like he punched one of the kids from the other team. He did nothing
That part is really wierd
Yeah, all I hear are a couple of loser parents celebrating a blown call. They sound like a couple of d-bags.
They lost the game and yet they are still cheering like the kid getting ejected means something.
I think this was recommended for all of RUclips within the last hour 😂
gumboygames 😂😂😂 I swear
Yepppp
This is a result of giving "Little Men" power. This ump should never umpire another game anywhere at any time!
That 12 year old catcher is 20 now
Imagine him seen this video right now😂😂
Lol that's right, probably he don't care
How do you know if he's still alive?
@@vishveshtadsare3160 that’s true 🤔🤔
What?! No way! That’s crazy! I didn’t know people get older?! I thought he’d be 12 his whole life. Man that’s wild. 🤯
The "adults" that cheered for this should have their picture in the dictionary next to the word "pathetic"
facts
We didn't see the whole video. I once purposely hot 4 batters and right before that almost got in a fist fight on the mound but if you saw me get tossed and everyone cheering and that was all you saw you'd still think the same. The catcher obviously turns around and says something to either the ump or the people behind him and anytime you speak to an ump you're basically begging to get thrown out. Same still goes for the minors for me to this day.
@@travnasty5269 you obviously didn’t read the entire description
Bottom line is you say anything other than something nice you're getting tossed.

43 year old stay at home mom: “ OH YeAaAaAaA WOO “
I'd call her a Karen, but in this setting she's acting more like Homer Simpson would.
To bring a lighter note to this comment section is anyone else impressed how well that pitcher throws for only being a twelve year old.
Wow! Any tips you can give for someone who is trying to get better
This isn't major league baseball it's kids playing ball.
SHAME ON THE REF AND THE PARENTS!!!!
