The magnetic charging tail cap is a huge selling point for me, especially for a flashlight that is a EDC that gets recharged on a regular basis, I've had a few electronic devices get ruined when a cable gets swiped by hand, or I simply wore out the USB connection on a perfectly fine operating phone once, and could no longer use the phone because there was no way to charge the phone, I keep one magnetic charger in my house and one in my car. Also, the magnetic charging tail removes a weak point for dirt, debris, and, and moisture ingress which can definitely be an issue if you take the flashlight on camping trips.
Half Turbo is what I have wanted on the Warrior Mini forever. You can click it onto a highish setting that isn't going to over heat. I think it's A) a great mode to have and B) AMAZING that it's optional. Now everyone can have what they want.
Right! And what people fail to understand is this. Nobody needs 1200+ lumens to walk to do every day tasks. There's people who want to blind people. Get an sft40 with at least 18650/350 battery. Nothing less. If convoy had momentary, and different tailswitches you can buy like weltool either protruding or flat so you can tail stand. I wouldn't buy anything else. They have absolutely every anyone needs. Tons of emitters and hosts. And so many modes in 12 different groups. Plus memory on/off. If you don't have a convoy I would highly recommend one.
Yeah I really wished it had half turbo on the Warrior mini. I just picked one up and am kind of regretting it. I don't need the full 1700 lumens especially since it can only run that for like a minute ugh. Tempted to get the Warrior Nano
Just received my warrior nano today and found your video! I purchased this light to be worn on my bump cap, I work at night in a train yard. Unfortunately after watching your video it seems the clip is not properly set up to be used on a cap. The price of the adapter is only .99 cents but shipping is $5😂😂
You know your video on this made me buy the nano. The magnetic charging is 100% unique to olight we should stop complaining about them switching to USB c and encourage them to develop their own technology charging system
As some who used to use 4D Maglites. I don’t get the purpose of flashlights smaller than ones hand. Sure, as a backup loght, but smaller is just stupid otherwise.
I’m an industrial mechanic and carry the tools I need with me in my pocket. Something this small and bright is a huge preference. It takes up less pocket space so I can throw more tools in the same pocket.
Thanks for the review! The beamshots outside in the fog show the limits of cold white lights. Unfortunately. The second tree (further away) is not well visible. The cool light is reflected by the fog and blinds ourselves. Neutral white lights work better in these conditions. (To be precise: In fog warm white lights work even better because of the wavelength of light. But since you love cold white I dont want to mention "warm" here.) You know I was just asking for this light when you were at the Olight tour. Almost everything I wanted. I just want the output of the new PL turbo, and it would be the perfect edc light.
I did a run time test between the warrior nano at 400lumens and a wurkoss fc11 nicchia 519a at 300 lumens with a 1100mah 18350 and the olight came in at about 2:48 hrs versus 1:36 hours for the fc11z
Don’t no why people would complain u get a usb c charging cord with every flashlight u buy and u get a magnetic charger with every Olight u buy either way ur going to end up with a bunch of charging cords and the magnetic like u said is way easier.
The reason for half turbo is to prevent you from accidently blowing out your vision when using in place of a handgun weapon light. As someone who likes to run a external light instead of a attached one, this is a welcome feature. Indoors, clearing a house for example, turbo will blow out your vision. Ideally you would only half hold the tailswitch, but in moments of stress, you will end up with a full press. blowing out your night vision.
The proprietary batteries are the turning away thing though. Because if the olight company disappeared the batteries would be gone and their flashlights useless.
Proprietary batteries on a flashlight with a good charging system is fine, not fine if it's a proprietary battery that needs a proprietary charger that has to be removed to charge

Olight keeps doing this, getting so close to perfect on the surface then something breaks it. That’s because of SFT40 vs P9. But the baton lacks the great tail switch. Also I’m likely going to swap the Warrior Nano today, which is much harder on baton line with its pressed bezel.
They’re very similar beams. I would go Baton 4 kit if you’re going to run it stock. If you were going to do an emitter swap, then the nano is interesting.

Im not sold on 18350s. You lose 2/3 the capacity from 18650. 14500s hit the same capacity and amps (Vapcell h10) in a narrower package. To me, diameter is the key to pocketability. Like if they put the same features you liked here on the warrior mini youd get more than 2x the runtime and probably feels about the same in pocket? I like the shorter batteries for 90° headlamps as its less weight to bounce around when active (Perun2 mini). I guess youd lose a chunk of the sustained output if narrower
A majority of American customs are based on the 18350. And I think for good reason. This nano is very lightweight and diminutive. I’d be surprised if you felt it was “too big.”
Question.. so now there's 3 small olights with 1200lms. I love the tail switch but take that outta the equation and which would you personally choose... The Baton 3, the seeker 4 mini, or the warrior nano?? And why? Thanks for the vids awesome work and knowledge btw

Then at any time, I have direct access to ML, 60lm, or 1200lm. This is because the tail is a two stage button. After the inclusion of the Nano, I’d never look at Baton again.
A quick question, does setting to full turbo on tail switch with the wireless charging? Will remember its setting? Example i had it on full turbo, then i changed it to strobe, if i go back to turbo will it be on the full? Or go back to half? Then repeat the process of wireless charging to go full again? Thanks!! And also is this neutral white or cool white tint?

Wow, a Low CRI, 7000k emitter. Shocking! Olight sticking true to its roots and continuing to ignore what its customers ask for. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Olight!
Actually quite the contrary. I sat with the engineers from Olight and pled with them to switch to Nichia 519a for some of their lights. They said they couldn’t because the bulk of their customers wanted the lumens over tint and CRI. I believe them too, because when Jackson Lee of jlhawaii808.com sells Hank Wang D4V2s, he says the CW max lumen emitters outsell the warmer high CRI ones by 3:1.
Too many modes for a real flashlight if you're not a "average user"for the tighswitch. Light press meduim - hard press turbo done no mucking around. All the other nonsesne is front button.
They ABSOLUTELY should have included the reverse clip bit in the box. They included the carabiner thing with the mini 2s, so why not that thing? Especially when it is listed as 99 cents on the site. That said, as soon as they come out with colorations other than default and "zombie", I will definitely pick one up.
Isnt the warrior 3s an sft-70 emitter cheule? You called it an sft-40 several times in the video. I just wanted to clarify in case I'm wrong, or point it out to you in case you were just misspeaking
I can't stand hearing people complain about olights batteries and the charging system smh the wireless charging is the best charging system out there I don't want a stupid usb c on my light I rather gave nothing and I charge my olight batteries in one of my slot chargers and use olight batteries in almost all my other lights I don't know what the problem is but putting a USB c on an olight flashlight will be downgrading it smh another rubber flapper to get ripped off and let water in smh...

Example i had it on full turbo, then i changed it to strobe, if i go back to turbo will it be on the full? Or go back to half? Then repeat the process of wireless charging to go full again? Thanks!! And also is this neutral white or cool white tint?
It remembers the setting.
It only comes in CW at launch. Might change later.
I posted a video of swapping the emitter to WW with a 519A.
@@cheule thank you! And thanks to your channel i got some olights and tried the brand and gotta say i love how it looks, feel and the ease of use of the UI, now because of your channel i got a arkfeld UV, arkfeld pro, and now upcoming warrior nano
Is it possible if you could send me the link to that plastic clip adapter?
They should be available at olight’s store.
@@cheule ya for some reason I can't find them.
9:04 can this also be done with the Warrior Mini 3?
No, half turbo is a brand new Nano only feature.
That's annoying and I just ordered one without ordering the clip .
Isnt the warrior 3s an sft-70 emitter cheule? You called it an sft-40 several times in the video.
I just wanted to clarify in case I'm wrong, or point it out to you in case you were just misspeaking
It is an SFT70. I misspoke a few times in the video. My apologies.
The Warrior 3S is perfect for XHP50.3 swaps!
I literally have a tool box full of olight chargers 😂
💯
Me too and most of them are defective lol
Ditto
They are So NoN reliable .. the flashlights are .. but chargers neeeeeeeeed a huge quality control upgrade ..
Came to get it off the dang strobe
will and remote switch work with Nano like W3S? thank you
I don’t know, as I don’t have one to test. Let me know if you find out.
@@cheule if you do find out please lets us know that would make me buy a few...
Great that the P9 is neutral here, good choice
Is there really still no company that comes close or is even better than Zebralight in terms of size/runtime/toughness?!
👍Nice. Love it as a backup 👌😊
Maybe this one won’t catch people’s pockets on fire. 👌🏽
That's what she said
Dimensions please.
I don’t cover that because it’s on the website. Check here under technical specs: www.olightstore.com/s/0T4H7W
Battery?😮
I cover it in the review, proprietary 18350.
I really don’t like how you keeping calling it small just say fun size great size even 😮😅😊
Stupid small like the other models much better.
