I did the Way back in the day when I was in my 20's. It's a great way to spend a week. The Honesty boxes are a new thing, we never had them back in the 90's. It's a brilliant idea.
The first 11 miles at nearly 4 mph if you started at 12 and it was 2.50pm at that mark, wow. I'm lucky these days if I hit 2.5mph on the flat and I've been known to reach the heady heights of 1 mph in the hills 😂😂😆 Fantastic, loving this.
Great video, fantastic scenery too, pounding them miles out like a Royal Marine. Thought it was going to go down hill when you visited "Nearly Warms" aka Greggs, but your pace throughout was astonishing, I wonder what they put in their power food, 🤣🤣 Can't wait for the next one.....

thanks for this video brings back some mixed memories of this slog,and to us it was a slog ,couldnt wait till we cleared loch lomond,,, when we did this stretch there was nothing to drink or honesty boxes it was the first year the way was opened and we made the mistake of walking too far in the first day,,milngavie to rowardennan youth hostel,feet were severly blistered,,heavy backpacks as well ,no fancy gear then,,enjoying your walk though.

That's mad just about to start the NC500 car camping solo.. I pulled over at Loch Lomond last Easter to take a picture as it was stunning, started the engine and nothing. AA came out and it was the starter motor. No garages open at it was Easter so drove all the way bk to Leicester non stop 😢 2 years of planning down the drain. I was heart broken 💔
