Heater Motor & Fan Replacement - Mercedes-Benz W219 CLS [The Banana]

Spanner Action Episode 2.
For a few months a very annoying squeaking sound has been present from the heater motor/fan. It seems to be more prominent when the outside temperature is colder, I assume where cold incoming air cools and shrinks something ever so slightly therefore causing it to rub. It used to be only intermittent but has gotten more regular to every journey. It would also get worse or stop when the car was turning/accelerating/decelerating, which further supports the theory of play in the rotating components somewhere. Time to get the spanners out.
This procedure I believe is the same for all W219 CLS and W211 E-Class chassis.
