Adobe is changing the world of AI - NEW Generative Fill and VideoGigaGan Upscaling

- Adobe released NEW Generative Fill functions and announced VideoGigaGan Upscaling. Generative Fill now has image reference and works like magic. The Adobe AI can also do much more. Like putting a character into different landscapes. VideoGigaGan can 8x upscale a very low res video and create stunning details and sharpness in the upscaled video.
Also: Meta Quest 3 now has Spatial Video Playback and Recording. And the Quest 3 Video Passthrough has been massively improved.

The Adobe GF can't amaze me anymore since many web UI and apps can do similar things for free and uncensored.
This
They are so late to the party
If they didn’t copied controlnet 1 by 1, they’d still live in the stone ages compared to any other ai image generator.
Learning a lot from your Affinity Photo tutorials. Thank you Olivio.
Funny just before I was playing with comfyui differential diffusion and the results where very similar to the adobe demo. If I recall Krita also had easy in painting.
Love this update! Great video!
Thanks!
Great Video 🍻
Fantastic video, Olivio-thanks for the update! At 3:20, I'm somewhat let down by the inpainting. The Stable Diffusion Inpainting, especially with controlNet, is superior. The lighting on people could use significant enhancement. However, it does render food quite well. Can it do hands?
This is amazing indeed
I believe all the pictures are generated on the server side (adobe)...
Well at least you finally get something worthy for the absurdly expensive subscription.
Depends on what you need. I have Photoshop and Lightroom for 11Euro a month. I would love to buy it but it doesn't sound too crazy.
Any information on when and how to use videogigagan?
hello. is there a reason why my photoshop beta doesn't have the reference image option? i've updated it to the latest version
I think they forget didnt include the masked area in the generation so the colors is out of wack for the generative fill. or maybe they use old-style transfer controlnet.
is there any free opensource video upscaler? nice video btw!
Thanks for the hard work
Thanks for the hard work!
How use videogigagan?
Yeah, I've been doing this in Krita for the past year, though not with video.
I hope GIMP follows through with this I'm not gonna pay that much for Adobe and I would hate to use a cracked version....again🤣
The only important question is, can we now decypher small text like in movies?
in movies? not sure what you mean. The new resolution is good enough so you can read your phone without having to take of the headset
Make a video on SUPIR
and best workflow to get the best upscaling.
from what I have seen, it is probably the best Upscaling out their
Thank you. I will check that out :)
I wish youtube had a filter that allowed me filter out all videos with the word 'adobe' in them...
No video for a long time, are you on vacation?
Is generative fill still limited to 512x512 resolution?
no, this images i show are full res photos with 6000 x 4000 px resolution
@@OlivioSarikas Sorry, my mistake, I mean the portion added by firefly, not the whole imagine
@@AngeloDau yes, but you can see how large the selections are in my video. and there is also a refine option. thought the initial renders already look pretty good
Btw, there's also a free plugin from PixImperfect to overcome the 1K square resolution limitation.
Krita does the same and is free
What will impress me is if the video upscale can improve my VHS footage.
Goodbye Topaz
Topaz is still a one time purchase, they don't fleece you to keep access to the program you paid for.
@@AscendantStoic That's right, but I guess that 90% of people that use Topaz software have an Adobe subscription anyways.
"It doesn't look very sharp"
Me watching the video at 240p
All these things can be easily achieved with any other AI platform and with much more precision and control.
Adobe is desperately trying to keep up with the current AI revolution...
If they really want to make a name for themselves in the highly competitive AI space they should break free from including "AI" gadgets into photoshop and come up with their own proprietary AI model.
Most people these days are simply making use of the multitude of AI generators out there thus seeing not much use in going to photoshop.
All that being said...those little new features inside photoshop do help speed up the workflow in some cases.
My two cents on the matter 😊
Another excellent video
Thanks again!
Amazing, as someone who is deeply involved in their ecosystem this model update and all the new features are amazing! I believe their variant of controlnet as well as sketch to image and other fancy stuff they showcased back at the MAX event in october might come for the next major updates in probably october again.
Fingers crossed!
Is this already updated in?
@@user-en4ts9mq4t Model 3 and the Photoshop update? Yes, but the PS one is the beta app currently and will probably go live in october when they usually release the annual major updates.
@@hound_of_justice thanks bro
I don't agree with the better passthrough in v64. It's maybe a bit better to read Smartphone screens but they made it way too dark and yellowish. I feel now (only for Smartphones (that I use 1% in AR)) like in a cave I want out after minutes and need two extra lights to feel ok in it. For me that's a massive downgrade! ...this new passthrough should only be an optional (Screen Mode) in the menu.
I'd asy really interesting and much improved but not ready for prime time.
Hammer, aber auch irgendwie beunruhigend
A
Adobe doesn't support free speech tho
Adobe doesn't support well their own products, what free speech are you talking about? :)) It is meant as a joke, as I actually love Adobe.
@@alincristiantiganus4137 they block certain generative fill or AI generation
I dont care about adobe. Ever since their subscription based service. They forced me to go the "unethical" route to continue using their products.
why are you talking about adobe? Who uses adobe for art?
I would be willing to bet that a lot of people who follow this channel also use Photoshop.
A lot of people use Adobe for art. Why shouldnt he talk about their products?
I am using Stable Diffusion and also Adobe Suite/Photoshop.
What is that witchcraft ?!
Total Magic :)
The tool is an improvement over what we have available today, but sugarcoating its effects is really not necessary and just scrapes on your reputation as a knowledgeable AI person. How is the water flow looking very natural, when it should be pushed away from the falling water not flow towards it? Over time this tool will improve and become better and better, so there is really no reason to make it look better than it is.
Photoshop videos ? I'm out ..
The most useless upgrades to Photoshop ever created. How does ANY of this help with processing photographs ???? Absolute garbage. Luckily it didn't increase the cost or I would be looking elsewhere for my photo processing tools.
K, still overpriced garbage software.
lol its number 1 software for editing and doing art. Just because you dont have the money or are putting your money elsewhere where one could as well argue you waste your money doesnt mean its overpriced or garbage. One can tell you are an amateur.
Facts
It’s sad to see real amateurs believing adobe was a state of the art image editor. Krita+comfy is.
But yeah it’s always been that way, why are 98% of the web run on free linux distros while average consumers pay hundreds for a license to get spied upon?
