hi bill big fan. wondered if you could clear the air...having an '18 manual. Ford Perf has it in the power packs but did it come factory installed on your car. personally, wish it had been a selective option on Power Packs (not alone). there is talk of a new version allowing NLS as an optional choice which should have been offered in the first place. lots of road course drivers (unless you have a .8mi straight or Mulsanne) and daily drivers not enamored with NLS. it is a personal preference...any feedback appreciated dw
Bill, you are so right about the Borla S-Type. Because of your review of it and your own personal choice of it--I decided to go with the Borla. Best sound possible for the Mustang. As for the 2018 pony car, two things I greatly dislike are the front fascia with those ugly shark tooth protrusions under the front marker/ blinker cluster as well as the carve line across the back deck panel. However, I absolutely love the redesigned taillights with those "half-moon" cutouts in them. They look fantastic and I look to buy them after market to put on my 2017 GT convertible. The last thing I really love about my own 2017 GT over the 2018 is the fact that I was lucky enough to find mine in Grabber Blue. A color I absolutely love! I have a huge admiring public who always complement my car color and always ask me what the color is. All in all, I feel the 2015 complete redesign of the historic American Mustang was a spot on fantastic redesign hit with the result being one of the absolute best looking cars on earth. The 5.0 Coyote V8 engine is truly one of the greatest automobile engines ever designed and built. Properly outfitted with the right cat back with resonator delete, this engine is simply the best sounding car engine on this earth. Even better than Lamborghini and Ferrari engines that sound like high revving motorcycle engines. Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the sound of an American V8 engine and the 5.0 Coyote is simply the best! I love blasting my engine under over passes and going through tunnels. What a sound! Anyway, enjoy, Bill and thank you for all of your great sales and installation videos. I've done all of my mods based off what Ive seen you do to the pony car--including my recent installation of the gorgeous Roush front fascia that I performed all by myself in my driveway.
Love the car and those wheels on it are choice. Im going to get a 19 auto with magnaride. Im debating whether to get the Recaros or the stock seats in matching red leather. Are the Recaros all day comfy?
Any regrets on not going Whipple or KB? Roush was limited with inlet space and apparently heat soak is pretty serious on that TVS compared to the previous 15/17 iteration. Though I guess because you aren’t beating on it at a track it’s not noticeable.
The Whipple is impressive for sure, I went with the Roush because i liked the one on my 15 and was excited about the 2650. Yes heat soak is an issue but its being addressed soon. I had a KB on my 2011 and never really liked it.
It depends on what it is. Some people are simply hearing injectors or the DI pump and that is not an issue, the legit ticking noise dan be detrimental to the engine and cause scoring.
Very nice video. I'm interested in knowing how the Roush upgraded tune will work out.. I got a 2018 Roush Jackhammer, and would love to see the results of the new tune on your Mustang.
Great video. We have a 19 with the manual (love the rev matching!) but I really haven't heard if its the same MT82/same shift forks or if its different. Do you know? Thanx!
Question for car guys, do you all recommend a complete grille delete or just the black background grille sort of like Cervini C-Series for the 18’ mustang? Pros and cons if you all have time. Thanks
Can’t wait for your airbag fix. One of the 1st mods I was looking for on my ‘18 was the steering wheel upgrade. Was bummed to hear that they made a change.
Please tell me you have a remedy for the LAME stock steering wheel that comes on the 2018's. I bought the PP2 and can't believe it's the same wheel as the the base model. I'm dying to upgrade and there are so many better options for the 15-17's.
@@cjponyparts oh I didn't know I thought i remembered the fast take video, you had all three in the counter. I didn't know they were props... Or I'm remembering incorrectly.
Tim Coleman the MBRP had replaceable tips, I have installed a lot of exhaust so my memory might be bad but IIRC all the Borla and Ford Performance tips come welded.
Haha well, I'm obviously going to defer to the expert. Plus, if I had taken a second to think before I posted.. I would have remembered that I purchased the Ford performance for my Mustang, so I should know they are welded lol.
The magneride is basically a self adjusting suspension and adjusts based on drive settings as well. When we first lowered it we used the Ford Performance springs for the GT350, which also has magneride, and they worked perfectly,

Hey Bill! Just wanted to know, how hard is it to keep the Race Red clean? Is it high maintenance, and does it show dirt easily? Love the car! Thinking of trading my ‘18 shadow black in on a 2019 race red, that’s beautiful. Let me know! Thanks
IMHO the 10R80 is super effective WOT in a straight line, however almost every other circumstance it behaves like a typical American slush box. Slow and/or sloppy shifts, slow paddle response, lackluster down shifts, and easily confused. No doubt it’s an effective drag racing unit, but I think the gap between the 10R80 and manual can be closed with a rear end gear in the 4.10-4.30 range. Obviously you need a good driver too. Great review Bill. Do you wish you had the active rev matching at all?
Our 2019 GT we built for the SEMA show has the rev match. It is cool but it does it every time you downshift which I found to get a little annoying after awhile. I wish you could turn it off.
CJ Pony Parts I can see that. I reviewed a bullit on my channel and found it fun but it would be cool to be able to deactivate it sometimes. It makes the manual more autonomous which is a huge reason to get it.
The thing about these cars, they have so much aftermarket options.

Awesome Stang buddy!
Thank you!
CJ Pony Parts good shit 👍🏼
Shocked the '15 is quicker than the '18, stock. I thought it was a big acceleration difference, in the '18's favor
One day I'll see it in person...
Any chance you have the part number to the Shelby suspension springs? Would like to add to my car. Killer Mustang you have!

@@cjponyparts thanks
I need to find out when I can put the supercharger on a 2021
Love the wheels!
Bill what's your intake on the ticking issues. Do you think it's an issue . The hemi had a lot of ticking also Dodge says it was normal
Brian Pinter we will be doing some driving with it at first but will dyno as well.
@@Zerogivengarage Thank You Is this going to be a Stage 2 upgrade, or just an update to Stage 1 supercharger
Brian Pinter just a fresh tune
How is the 3:73 gears with the mt82 and the roush supercharger?
Great video. We have a 19 with the manual (love the rev matching!) but I really haven't heard if its the same MT82/same shift forks or if its different. Do you know? Thanx!
Same MT82 as the 2018s. The fork issue seemed to be a specific batch of transmissions.
Question for car guys, do you all recommend a complete grille delete or just the black background grille sort of like Cervini C-Series for the 18’ mustang? Pros and cons if you all have time. Thanks
I like the upper and lower combined so they match, I was going to just do the upper but it didn't look right.
CJ Pony Parts thank you so much
Hey Bill, would it be possible if you guys make video about frame rail repair on 67 mustang?
Kach Khan it’s possible. Front or rear?
Bill Tumas, front please. Thank you so much. You are the best
Nice video...thanks for sharing. Regarding the transmission, will the GT350 Tremec fit in the GT?
Can’t wait for your airbag fix. One of the 1st mods I was looking for on my ‘18 was the steering wheel upgrade. Was bummed to hear that they made a change.
raydog1111 we already have the R wheel on our 19 and should hopefully offer something soon.
Please tell me you have a remedy for the LAME stock steering wheel that comes on the 2018's. I bought the PP2 and can't believe it's the same wheel as the the base model. I'm dying to upgrade and there are so many better options for the 15-17's.
Nice car. Love everything but the roof vinyl
Bill, what about ordering a set of black tips only from the Ford performance by Borla set? Would they fit on the S-type for you?
The tips come welded on so they cannot be swapped.
Wait can you explain a little more when it comes lowering it with the magna ride im confused
The magneride is basically a self adjusting suspension and adjusts based on drive settings as well. When we first lowered it we used the Ford Performance springs for the GT350, which also has magneride, and they worked perfectly,
@@cjponyparts ooooh fasho brother appreciate it
Those wheels and the GT350 spoiler look really good! Have you run it in the 1/4 mile with the supercharger?
Bill what is the best way to get the roof file?
Nice mustang bro.
Can you have an air suspension ride with the mag-o-ride?
no
Car looks awesome, and great video. Can I ask what sizes and offset your wheels are?
Bill I have a 17 gt pp what size HRE ff04 wheels and tire would you put on it?????? With offset etc... I saw your video on tire and wheels but I know you have already done the work help a dedicated fan out? It’s at stock ride height but I would like to drop one inch if possible too
I like the 275 35 front and 295 35 rear.
do these new stangs still have the chinese I can't shift at redline transmissions in them that my 2012 had?
There have been some fork issues in earlier cars, mine has been fine.
Get any guff from Ford for warranty work after the blower install?
Nope not at all
Hey Bill, can I get the product links of exterior modifications. Thanks in advance.
Great video - what mode do you find yourself driving in the most?
Hey Bill! Just wanted to know, how hard is it to keep the Race Red clean? Is it high maintenance, and does it show dirt easily? Love the car! Thinking of trading my ‘18 shadow black in on a 2019 race red, that’s beautiful. Let me know! Thanks
Coming from a black car you will have NO problems keeping Race Red clean!! I ceramic coated the car and it was very easy to keep clean.
