@@fr1day329 Wall Street Journal kinda gave bit of info on how the current wage broke out.. that led me here to get this history of it.. can check it out tho 👍
Nice info, but it's incomplete. There should be mention, if only as a rhetorical opening for debate, why was land already occupied parceled out "just because". Also, when the partition happened why was the people with the larger population given the smaller portion of land? I get the layout of territory today because of the success of Israel in the wars fought, but still, things could have been handled in a more reasonable fashion.
To anyone watching this, thank you for spending time and energy into learning the complexities of this history, and for not just reading headlines. And thank you, History on Maps, for showing the roots of this history back millennia, and not just starting from a hundred years ago, which is where I've seen most informational videos start so far. I have loved ones in both Palestine and Israel, and I have spoken with some of them to hear how they are feeling. Doing so definitely adds to the complexity and hopelessness to the current situation, but it also adds humanity to these regions that currently have armies and singular political leaders as faces, especially during a time when people are in a rush to "pick a side." I have also been ingesting purposely biased media from both sides (I've found that it is imperative to see either BOTH or NEITHER, but never just one perspective), and it reminds me of hard truths I don't see in-person. Children losing their childhood. Spouses losing their other halves. Siblings burying siblings. Morbid things that don't require an ethnic or religious background in order to be morbid. It reminds me why I need to do more, because how could I choose which of my loved ones "deserve" to die? For an outsider, it can be difficult and time-consuming work, to research and develop so many thoughts and yet still be uncertain how to move forward. It's easy to pick a side quickly, so that one doesn't have to becoming increasingly puzzled by the intricacies of numerous narratives. It's easy to distance oneself, because it hurts to sympathize by putting oneself in the shoes of those suffering. That's why this work--taking extra time to look for facts, staying vigilant about from whom you get your information, and keeping an open mind--is the first step. And there can be no second step without it. So, thank you for caring about context, for having a desire to understand, and for actively seeking it out. May education always welcome you, and may you always welcome education.
My friend asked my opinion on the recent conflict and all I could say was, there’s a long history that I don’t know the details of so I can’t tell you where I stand. All I know is that people died and that’s tragic. I came looking for context. Media always has a spin.
It's pretty easy for me to take side when knowing the history of mankind. We know when there is a war the winner gets the biggest advantages. So whoever won last gets to decide. If a new war starts then it's the winner of that new war. If you can't accept defeat then don't create a treaty. If you attack civilians then you are a terrorist group. If your base is setup where there are civilians then you are a terrorist group. If you attack a country and don't represent a country then it's not a war it's a terorist act.
I am not trying to rain on your parade of learning...but historically speaking, King Saul, King David, or King Solomon have ever been proven to have existed ..only mentioned in the Christiaan or Hebrew bible. Please look this up if you don't believe me. Think about this...with all the historical artifacts known to the modern world, none have mentioned or shown that these people ever existed. Christians and Jews have tied themselves in knots trying to say that some random artifact mentioned (or possibly a form of the name) Saul or David....but it can never be proven that it was King Saul/David/Solomon. My point is; you can not have a serious historical or pollical conversation/lesson that begins, and includes, mythological characters presented to you as fact. That is deceitful, wrong, and so misleading. When you see this happening. warning lights should go off and know that this person has an agenda. Their purpose is not to inform you but to persuade you to their thinking. They are are possibly not misinforming you on everything but when the foundation is off, the building collapses.
I liked the fact that this video displayed more historical context than the last 100 years. So many of the discussions around the Israel-Palestine conflict begin after the Balfour Declaration in 1917. I also find it interesting that so many voices in this discussion are stating that one side or another has a RIGHT to this land. What gives someone a right to the land? Is it historical ownership? If so, then how far back in history do you go? If you use that criterion, north America belongs to the Native American people, and Australia belongs to the Aborigines. Or do you have a right to a land by conquest? Essentially every country in the world has changed hands over time and conquest continues to this day. Does Russia have a right to Crimea because they invaded it and took it over in 2014? Is a country invalid because it is new? Tell that to the Serbians who created their country in 2006. The number of Jewish people in the world have been decimated and forcibly evicted many times throughout history (not just by the Nazis). Do they deserve a country of their own, and if so, where should it be? And the Palestinians, who were a nomadic Arabic people, have been living in Palestine for centuries. Don’t they deserve a country of their own? And if so, where should it be? None of this is simple, so stop giving such simplistic answers.
well, if one group are being evicted from their homes, thats not totally nomadic is it? and if jews want to settle there, was there not a more agreeable way of doing it? the idea of forcing someone out because you used to live there generations ago is either an act of war of a perpetuation of war.
for your last question, the partition plan was supposed to solve most problems, israel welcomed it, the "palestinians' (they werent even called that at the time), refused.
@@ferez1985 You mean how the video states that most of the 2/3 of the population was Palestinians but UN and Israel offered 44% of the land to them when In reality it was all theirs not long ago.

@@Nizaar1I agree a lot of finer details missing but it doesn’t exactly paint Israel or Jewish occupation in a good light. I'm a Muslim, but I want peace for both, they all are humans and I stand with humanity. Innocents on both sides are being killed and affected for just the fun of some rich psychopaths. there are many lands and countries where people of different religions are living together, they why not Muslims and Jews can not live together now? when they used to live peacefully centuries ago. No one is serious about solving their issue because they are not facing it, they don't think it's their own. A person can feel the pain of his own wounds only. I pray for my Brothers and Sisters. The thing is that Israël, the United Kingdom and Engeland don't want to live with peace. They only want to kill all the Palestinian's and steal their land they think its funny to kill innocent lives how can a baby form one day be a terrorist? Its just not okay this is not a war its genocide and no one is helping , the Arab countries are such humiliating there seeing their brothers and sisters die and do nothing about it!
Just some extra information for you all that is important if you’re learning about this for the first time, that is unfortunately not mentioned in this video. In many places in israel/Palestine throughout all these periods of history, Jews and Muslim arabs coexisted largely peacefully for years. There has been conflict for centuries but in some cities there was much coexistence as well.
thank you! the historical elephant in the room is that both radical Zionism (the river to the sea) and imperial strategy (first UK, then US) really was the catalyst for violence. Jews, Muslims and Christians were living together in relative peace prior to 1946 and even moreso before 1910.
prior to 1946? the Mufti met with Hitler in 41 to discuss an arab revolt and to ask for help in removing the jews from the area so..I'm not sure about that@@nevillesmith426
The fact that Arabs live in Israel en benefit for free from schools, healthcare and I don't know what else is also nowhere mentioned, ever. And in the video the first war from 5 nations to Israel is mentioned briefly and neutral, but 5 countries with armed forces attacked Israel for no other reason than to wipe it from the face of the earth, and still Israel prevailed. I'm not saying everything that Israel does is correct, but these are items you cannot ignore when telling the story.
@@nevillesmith426 and the flip side to that is: Ever since the jews got their land back in 1949, certain groups have made it their mission to end Israel....if you elect one of those groups to lead you, you are responsible for the consequences of their actions. Hamas is a terrorist organization that the PEOPLE in Gaza ELECTED to lead....they VOTED for a group that fires rockets from the rooftops of schools and hospitals KNOWING that the return strike to take out the rocket launcher is ALSO going to take out the building....the people in Gaza BEGGED for this outcome....
I think the whole world is trying to find a solution for Israel and Palestine to exist together. It's ironic that both Jews and Palestinians live here in the US and aren't killing each other on a daily basis... so why the heck can't they do it there? I understand Israel feels like it's constantly fighting for its existence and the Palestinians are jaded for always being in their homeland but never actually being able to call it theirs. There has got to be some common ground and eventual peace.
Agreed. And yet when you look at the Map of Jerusalem Area...all I can think of is that is one big recipe for disaster. No place can rule itself like that with every neighborhood ruled by a different master. Hard to imagine how they made it this long without an outbreak....now, that has really happened.

it is not complete by any mean. Nothing about war in 73, oversimplification of not "1948 Arab-Israeli war" but the Independence war. Arabs rejected any plans of UN to build 2 states cause they thought they will throw that annoying jews at the sea.

What I like about this video is that it explains the ENTIRE history of that area not just 100 years back. This give us more depth of why some things happened.
The thing is, regardless of your view of history, in 1949, it was ALL reset as the world restored the land to the jews and established the nation of Israel....anyone who doesn't like that FACT can f'k off....

This video is leaving out crucial information. I wrote a comment explaining this - here it is (not meant at you, but the creator): You forgot to mention crucial information, like the Intifadas were acts of raging terror attacks on Israeli civilians - including SUICIDE BOMBERS IN BUSES, RESTAURANTS AND NIGHT CLUBS. I was a kid back then and getting on a bus was terrifying! The Palestinians always targeted civilians, while Israel always targeted terrorist organizations that also used Palestinians as human shields - it is a well documented FACT. You cover these wars and Intifadas as if there were symmetrical wars - no - the Palestinians started all wars while targeting civilians. Israel has the right to defend itself. Also, Hamas declared many times their goal is extermination of Jews all over the world, not just Israel. Hamas also murdered the opposition of PLO a year after it came to power by literally throwing them out of buildings, and held a dictatorship over the Gazans. Israel did not “formed a blockade” - Israel tighten up its borders after too many terror attacks came from Gaza to murder Israelis (as happened on October 7th which now you know, but many smaller attacks like this happened before tightening the border). Despite that, Israel continued letting Palestinians work in Israel to support their families - because the Palestinian leadership was not focused on developing their territory to be financially stable - instead they invested billions of dollars donated to them by Qatar and others to build terror tunnels to invade Israel and slaughter Israelis, and to build rockets to fire against civilians. It is NOT SYMMETRICAL - the Palestinians are the aggressors. IF THE PALESTINIANS WILL LAY DOWN THEIR ARMS - THEIR WILL BE A PALESTINIAN STATE. IF ISRAEL WILL LAY DOWN ITS ARMS, THERE WILL BE A MASS SLAUGHTER OF ISRAELIS JUST LIKE ON OCTOBER 7TH AND NO ISRAEL LEFT.
@@AnnaBiondi does it change anything? the kingdoms of Israel and Judea were real. The Assyirians took over Israel. The Babylonians detroyed the 1st temple and deported most of the Jews. All this happened a millenium before Islam, before Arabians arrived to the holy land, centuried before Arabic became a written language. oh and btw. Jerusalem is not THE holliest city for Islam. It is 3rd after Mecca and Medina

It's not that complex! Israel is an Apartheid state, guilty of 75 years of brutal human rights abuses against the Palestinian people. ALL the problems in the region are caused by Israel including international terrorism which was born out of Israel's brutal occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people. We need a leader that will reshape our relationship with Israel. 🇮🇱👎
I doubt it's the entire truth because some references are based on christian beliefs... it doesn't agree with Islamic facts back after the time of Jesus Christ.
I still don't feel I know the history as the Abraham part seems to be from the Bible, not from actual history. I wonder what actual historians think about this video.
This is what the news networks need to explain to people. They tell us what's happening but with no context as to why- what led up to this current conflict.
hahaha do you really expect news channels to tell you the truth. People need to read, to question and to aquire their own knowledge and not sit around listening to biased news channels spouting whatever is in the interest of their owners.
True journalism hardly exists anymore. The real ones are censored and forced to stay quiet, or killed. The media is controlled by people that want to control you.
For those of us with the Privilege of merely observing this conflict. It's so interesting, combines so many topics from religion and geopolitics, colonialism and occupation, urban warfare and terrorism.
It's completely biased. It's using Bible history as factual history. There's no confirmed archaeological evidence for example that King Solomon even existed.
He literally opens with the only historic Jewish claim lol 3 dudes for less than a hundred years. As many others have stated the Turks had it for 400 years until the 20th century so why don't they claim it? Because it's stupid and belongs to Palestine because they've lived there the whole time. Not only for the last 70 years and briefly in the 1700s like isnreal 👍
it sadly is lacking, he didn't explain why most of things happened, how israelis bought massive amounts of lands over decades, how the plastianes got punished and kicked out of their lands because they started waging wars, but its just a 10 minutes video so we can't ask for too much, he did a good job over all.

7:32 How do you consider that as an objective fact he literally describes Palestinians as a terrorist against Israel when they just want to protect themselves from the new political system that is unjust for Palestinian citizens. Israel taking their property and infringing their rights. Regardless of their religious or political background, they are human beings too! No one is willing to violate their rights. However, he had mentioned that when Israel fighting as well, they just were defending themselves! And they want peace! Both sides were fighting for different reasons one was to protect their family, home, and lands from inequitable policies, while the other protected their religious rights! "The complex and long-lasting territorial dispute is a ticking time bomb that can explode anytime". Once again the world sees Israel and Palestine in conflict, claiming lives and more lives, deepening the pain and hatred between humans. Our condolences to all those who are suffering. PAX
Im from Israel, and as a fact, most of the "Palestinian citizens" want as dead, and in 2021 gaza bombed us, and the Arabs that live in Israel attacked us as well, so if they doesn't want peace and attack us, why should we want peace and let them have the country that we have been promised to have by god itself?
and again Lebanon and Syria will be involved, Iran added in, and even Egypt again possibly (even Russia in the background). How will there ever be peace there?? we all know its normal citizens that are damaged the most, but i think Palestine is going to lose a lot more land/rights etc again. Israel is going to go in heavy in the next 24 hours
Complex? Things the video failed to mention. "The Promised Land", but that leads to Jews being slaves in Egypt and the pyramids (Exodus). The conflict started in 1948, when UN, led by the US and UK, unilaterally took land from Palestinian Arabs (theft of land). Fighting broke out, but Palestinian and Arab nations could not win against Israel, with backing from the west, especially the US. UK had soldiers in the Middle East (colonialism) and they wanted to move the Jews out of their country and like wise rest of Europe. You could imagine how angry and desperate Arabs are, that they would strap on a bomb and blow themselves and their enemiesup. UN took their land, gave it to Israeli. The Israeli government could tell the Palestine Arabs where and when they could not go, where it was once their home. You could tell how the words mad and crazy got confused. Terrorist aren't crazy, but they are extremely angry. You would understand, if you could imagine how angry you would be if you were kick out of home and land and the new government could tell you what you can and can not do. When strapping on a bomb doesn't seem all that crazy, then you understand.
My wife asked me to explain the conflict the other night and she was astonished when I began my explanation in ancient Egypt, then through the Roman Empire and into modern times. it’s insane just how long it’s been going on. I honestly can’t see how it can be stopped any time at all.
The desire to link the conflict back that far is just a ploy to justify a relatively modern colonial endeavor by Europeans in the Middle East. Since Rome shattered the Jewish state in 70AD, and deported many Jews to various corners of the Roman empire, most of the Jews in the area didn't really leave, they just converted over centuries to first Christianity and then Islam after the Muslim conquests of that region. They still existed Jewish minorities within the region, but most of the original inhabitants of the region just became Muslim. Likewise, the Jews that moved into Europe basically became ethnically European after a THOUSAND years of living in Europe and mingling with Europeans. That's why most European Jews are ethnically white. With all the atrocities of WW2, many of the European Jews decided to move to the Middle East and found a colony with Western backing; that's what the Zionist movement was primarily. In 1900, only 8% of people in Palestine were Jewish. That's less than there were white colonists in South Africa. And pretty much NONE of them were European Jews. Israel's case is basically like South Africa if the white colonists during a war with the original black inhabitants ethnically cleansed them forcing them into ghettos or reservations. Ironically current Palestinians are more likely more ethnically congruent with the original Jewish population that lived in that region, than the European Jews that have colonized the region. The way I see it, what's done is done. The crime of colonization is fait accompli (just like in other parts of the world like the Americas, Australia). Now comes the hard part. The system of apartheid in Israel HAS TO END. Everybody needs to be given the same rights, whether Israeli or Palestinian. It will definitely need a transition period because the hatred due to all the decades of injustice and occupation runs deep, but it happened in South Africa, so it can happen here. The current apartheid status-quo is unsustainable as the recent Hamas attack showed.
@@tallest4eva Wish I’d read this first, it would have saved me a long comment up top. LOL. Your point about European Jews was thought-provoking and not something I was aware of. The decisions, treaties, agreements and land division lines are bonkers. It’s super obvious what the outcome will be especially with two groups who hate each other. It’s like drawing a line in the middle of your bedroom, hallway, living room and kitchen and having to live and deal with the person you hate everyday.
Europeans did the same in Africa, drawing lines on a map to divide the land between themselves without considering the tribes that they were separating which resulting in bitter disputes. Britain did the same by creating a line on a map separating India and Pakistan. Cause and effect. We're all living with the consequences of these decisions.
From what I know, the lines and areas were created based on the settlements of each group. It was meant to prevent relocation as the people were segregated beforehand.
Yes….but this land was originally Israel and originally belonged to the Jewish people…so really there shouldn’t be any boundary lines…it should all be what it originally was before others came in and took it over.
But it leaves out the fact (if you believe it), that Abraham fathered Ishmael too-- by Hagar, a servant woman-- and Ishmael became the "father of the Arabic nations". So the Jews and Arabs are family, in a way.

First off all Christians and Muslims believe in the Message of Abraham, Isaac and Jakob (go look this up in the Quran and Bible). Secondly Christians as well as Muslims believe in the message of King Saul, King David and King Solomon!!!!! Thirdly you forgot to mention that at that time Jesus Christ wasn’t send to the people yet… so technically there where no Christians nor Muslims at that time!!! There was only the true message of god in which we all believe!!! Christians as well as Muslims believe in the message of Abraham!!! To say that the people who believed in Abraham, Isaac, Jakob and Salomon where Jews so soooooooo absolutely wrong!!!!! At that time we must call them the believers in gods true message… they are the ancestors of the Christian’s who believed in the message of Jesus Christ, when he was send by god to preach the same message as Abraham after people had changed Abrahams true message… and after people had changed the true teachings of Jesus Christ, God send Muhammad to preach exactly the same as all prophets of god… the same message as Abraham, Moses and Jesus…. Because all prophets of Allah came with the same message!!! So we can say that the people who at the time of King Salomon where not Jews but rather people that followed the true message of God That means that the people who believed in the message of Abraham were the ancestors of the Muslims today who are still following the right teachings of Abraham…. And the Palestinians follow the true message of Abraham… that means that they have an even greater right to stay in their own land!!!!!!

We know that because Israel has offered a two-state solution and made concessions to Palestinians multiple times in past 50 years and each time it was rebuffed because THEY DON"T WANT PEACE. THEY JUST WANT ALL THE JEWS DEAD. Oh... and we also know it BECAUSE THE PALESTINIANS LEADERS HAVE STATED IT, both to the world, and continually to their own people. Look at the timing of this recent attack.... Israel has been making progress in peace negotiations with Saudi Arabia and other neighbors in recent months for first time in history... can't have THAT going on!!
Oh yes, since 1st century before Jesus. Jesus came in 3 rd century, and Muslim came in 7th century. Jesus knew about all of this that’s he said I leave you my peace, when he was leaving the earth. He knew. Peace is coming soon. They can’t live their lives like that forever. Young educated people on Palestinian side want peace.
Very informative video. Thank you. It was a Six-Day War in 1967, not a 60-day War, as the narrator says. The video portion was correct, stating 6 Day War. Again, this is a very informative video and thank you so much for creating it and sharing.
Very sad - I never knew the full history of this and I still don’t fully understand it. My thoughts are with the innocent people, on both sides. What is happening there - especially to kids is horrible. We need more context like this because all we are shown is what the media wants us to see - there is no such thing as unbiased news.
Both sides have been horrible to each other, both sides have reneged on agreements, both terrorize the other according to the old-testament eye for an eye. These people need Jesus.
However, Israel did not start this current situation and it’s not about the land it’s about Hate, I do not hear Israel screaming hate, I do not see Israel killing innocent people . Kidnapping, raping, dragging women by their hair, beheading and using machetes ! I do not see Israel marching in USA joyful over all I mentioned above. 😡😡😡😡😡 #🟦🇮🇱🙏peace for all innocent people
All you need to kno is muslims been looking there for hundreds of years, and after World War II, the Britain in the USA help the Jews go to Palestine to form their home!!! Killing innocent people and kids just for a new home for Jews!!! Devil kinda stuff
I’m a novice when it comes to world history so that’s why I’m here. It’s unfortunate how much people like myself is just now learning about this feud. The ending of this video from 2 years called this conflict a “ticking time bomb” & that bomb has detonated 💔
Yup under Biden’s administration. Because he lifted the sanction for Iran and funded Gaza . Just like how Obama funded ISIS. I predicted this war in end of 2020. And it has happened exactly as my prediction but Israel is dumb enough to tell their strategy to Hammas.
first Israel must end the apartheid state and oppression of arabs, then peace talks will be possible. It is impossible to establish peace if one group is treated as subhuman
Pretty good video. Some corrections: the 1967 war lasted just six days, not sixty. Israel defeated the Arabs so thoroughly, it astonished the entire world. Israel used mostly American made technology and tactics. Also, Hamas killed its political rivals to seize control of Gaza. The world did nothing. Thanks for a pretty good video.
I think it's one of those automated readers doing the narration- I mean, pronunication of Sinai as Sin...I , etc. The graphics at least said "6-day." I did appreciate them going into the ancient history- I remember as a kid, reading the bible in Sunday school and supposedly after the liberation from Egypt, the Jews just took over this area again because..."God." So, yeah, seems like it's been a area of fighting for, what, 3000 years? Sigh. Very sad. And we are repeating history as we sit around watching another Naqba and saying "well, they have a right to defend themselves..." Americans have no idea...
thanks for the clear up, people need to realize that hamas arent the good guys, theyve killed 1300 innocent jews, putting civilians as human blockades and committed numerous war crimes
Yeah, great video but some pretty bad typos and mispronunciations. It is "governance" not "gorvernance". You pronounce it sigh-nigh peninsula, not sin-nigh. And it is Ariel Sha-rone/roan, not Sharon as you would pronounce the girl's name. This video is so great in so many ways.

@@mrcombustiblelemon2902I guess because Arab Muslims took the site by force in a sign of blatant intentional disrespect towards its religious importance to the Jews, and gave it their own significance. It’s not complicated. Both the Jews and the Muslims view this land as their holy land. They both want it. They both kill each other to try to get it. That’s it
I honestly could not imaging chosing a government in this conflict (partly because I know nothing as of right now, so its illogical to chose a side at all.) I’d much rather feel sympathy for people suffering on both ends. They’ve both lost home, family etc. Must be absolutely devastating.

Jews lived there 2000 years ago, then the Romans took their land. The land then exchanged hands many times, with each empire bringing some new people to live there. When the Jews eventually managed to get international support for them returning to their land in the late 1910s, the land was mainly inhabited by people of the Ottoman empire (some Jews, some Christians, and some Muslims). When the new immigrants started buying land and talking about restoring their historical homeland, the Muslim majority didn't like that (mostly for religious reasons, but also because Britain promised the land to everyone in exchange for winning WW1: the Jewish population, the Arabian Muslim population, and themselves. They ended up choosing themselves). The Jews had no problem splitting the land and creating 2 countries if the Muslims didn't want to live together (which is why they agreed to multiple proposals to partition the land, such as the Peel partition plan in the 30s and the UN partition plan in the 40s) but the Muslims wanted all or nothing. The Jews didn't want people who thought like that as their neighbors, so when the Palestinians tried to erase them (aided by every Arab country in the area) Israel beat them all and kicked out a lot of them. The rest of the conflict since 1948 is pretty much a comic book story, with the Palestinians trying to get "revenge" for the time Israel defeated them, and Israel defeating them again.
Honestly sucks for both sides. I can see why there hasn’t been an agreement reached, especially with so much pain and suffering caused by conflicts from both sides.

@@onetwothree8359 Yeah, be honest with yourself. The Sira and the Quran both talk expansively over how the Kafir (not Muslims) must be converted or killed. Same goes for The Torah though.
The Supreme Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, laid the foundations of the Arab-Jewish conflict in 1920 by declaring jihad under the slogan "liberate Al-Aqsa" and organized pogroms of Jews. Since the 1930s, the mufti and the Arabs have been allies of Hitler and the Nazis. Husseini told Hitler that Germany and the Arabs are natural allies, as they have common enemies - the British, Jews and Communists. Husseini promised to organize a pan-Arab uprising and with the outbreak of World War II proposed to create an Arab Legion in the German army On November 28, 1941, a meeting between al-Husseini and Hitler took place in Berlin. As reported in a news bulletin from Berlin, "the Fuhrer welcomed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, one of the most prominent representatives of the Arab national movement." During the meeting, al-Husseini called Hitler a "defender of Islam," and he, in turn, promised the mufti to destroy Jewish elements in the Middle East." At a meeting between the Nazi leader and the Jerusalem mufti on November 28, 1941, Al-Husseini told Hitler: "Don't expel them, because then they will come here." Then the Fuhrer asked the Mufti: "So what should I do with them?", to which Al-Husseini replied: "Burn them." Аfter this meeting with the mufti and being convinced of the ardent support from the Arabs, on the next day Hitler informed the chief of the RSHA Heydrich of his intention to totally destroy the Jews; Heydrich transmits these words to Eichmann, and he sends invitations to future participants of the Wannsee conference on the "final solution of the Jewish question" on November 29. Hitler promised to destroy the "Jewish national hearth" in Palestine. Hitler promised Husseini that German troops relocated from the Caucasus and the Afrika Korps would "liberate the Arabs in the Middle East" and that "Germany's main goal would be the extermination of Jews." Amin al-Husseini helped form an SS division of Yugoslav Bosniak Muslims. In addition to this, he proposed to create an Arab legion of thousands under the auspices of the Wehrmacht. In 1943, he personally appealed to Reich Foreign Minister Ribbentrop with a demand to prevent the emigration of 5,000 Jewish children (in exchange for captured Germans) from Bulgaria to Palestine. The children were sent to the extermination camp. He insisted on bombing Tel Aviv, demanded to land German paratroopers in Palestine. On March 1, 1944, on the Berlin radio, the mufti called on the entire Islamic world to wage jihad against the Jews. He stated: "Arabs! Stand up as one and fight for your sacred rights. Kill Jews wherever you find them. It pleases God, history and religion. This will save your honor." The Mufti maintained good relations with the Nazis in the post-war period.
The entire video was presented with a clear political agenda from the beginning. Look at the thumbnail, it depicts a ✡️ standing next to a Gulf Arab. Palestinians are NOT Arabs. We're Canaanites and Filistines. Then he begins the video going back to when the ✡️ invaded Canaan. He skipped 8,000 years of Canaanite history. Then he claimed that the Romans named the area Palestine, when in fact the name was in use for over 500 years before the Romans even arrived. Then he claimed✡️ returned from Europe. Those ✡️ from Europe are European and have no ties to the Middle East. Also, they never had a homeland in the Middle East. They were a collection of homeless nomadic tribes. Solomon and David were just glorified tribal leaders, not actual kings. That's just scratching the surface. There's more bias.
Excellent video. As a theology teacher, I found the millennia long historical data quite clear (albeit quick). I also found the links between occupation and 'salvation' sound. I was very interested in the movement of Jewish people 'back' to the Promised Land. Only this week past, did my junior school students (not shielded, but not fully aware of the current war's history) ask the following question in similar ways: "Why can't they just share?" When one of them resounded with, "Because, sharing is caring", I knew that they had come to the nub of the issue! My hope is that both the Israelis and the Palestinians can come to a dignified solution soon.

Hoping and praying is NO solution. American colonists used violence to rid themselves of the rules imposed on them by England. Palestinians will ALWAYS feel justified in that same way. Amnesty International has declared BOTH sides guilty of crimes against humanity. The ONLY bloodless solution is for Jews to relocate to a place where they are not hated. It's incredible to think there has been conflict almost non-stop for so long. It seems to be a "way of life". Even with this historical explanation, it's hard to understand why a compromise can't be reached.
The UN Assembly voted to recognize a state for the Jews and Arabs. The Jews accepted whereas the Arabs rejected. The Arabs waged war following Israel's declaration of Independence and the establishment of the Jewish state. The Arabs lost the war, and mostly fled their homes of their own freewill and with the encouragement of their leaders, fearing a possible massacre by the Jews (that mainly did not come). Predominantly, the Arabs were not expelled. Many Arabs that stayed in their homes became Israeli citizens with full democratic rights. For others, a refugee crisis emerged, which has lasted many generations. The neighboring countries refused to permit entry to the fleeing Arab refugees into their own countries as is done universally around the world for refugees in humanitarian need, preferring instead to establish refugee camps to be used as pawns against Israel in the ensuing decades of war and in negotiations of peace agreements. Conversely, following the 1948 declaration of independence by Israel and the creation of the state, the Arab League countries expelled over 600,000 Jews from their homes in Arab countries after many centuries living together in peace and harmony, creating a Jewish refugee crisis. Those Jewish refugees entered Israel and were absorbed as immigrant citizens by an impoverished new state. It took generations for immigrants to become established and integrated into Israeli society with difficulty. This is a fuller explanation of the current refugee crisis and hostilities that was unfortunately omitted. Please speak the truth. The truth would lead to peace. The rest is agenda setting and inaccurate. The current mood in Gaza is established by a regime indoctrinated by religious fanaticism that intimidates and subjugates its own people in order to maintain power and spread their doctrine of hate across the globe.

@@enigma1000 It's not religion. And it hasn't last 'so long.' The whole conflict started with Zionist immigration in late 1800s. Not that you can blame Jews for looking for an alternative to centuries of persecution. And another people were living there - including a small percent of Jews. AND WHO WERE GETTING ALONG QUITE WELL under the Ottoman Empire. This film promotes the fiction of 'age-old religious conflict.' It's too small groups of people fighting over the same small piece of land - AND MANY PALESTINIANS ARE CHRISTIAN.

For the most part the video is correct except for the very beginning. Abraham showed up from Mesopotamia which was modern day Iraq. He went to the land of Canaan but there were people already there which were the canaanites aka modern day Palestinians. They were never native to that land to begin with.
For everyone watching this please keep in mind that this video is based on religious biblical teachings rather than factual historical events, unless you believe in Adam and Eve instead of Darwin’s evolution of planet earth. And Going back that far in history is ridiculous. Why stop there let’s go further back when the whole planet was one continent? By starting the story at 1700BC you delete thousands of years of future history and it makes no sense to modern history where there is Asia, Europe, Middle East (Arabia) and Africa (and of course Australia) and thus distorted what happened in modern history. Going that far back in history would be as stupid as claiming that all of Europe Christian’s also have a claim to Jerusalem because Jesus came from there. That would sound ridiculous. This video makes no distinction between Arab Jews and European Jews. While Arab Jews lived among Arab Christian’s and Arab Muslims in the Middle East for centuries and have claim to the land, European Jews do not. That’s why DNA testing is illegal in Israel which explains a lot in my opinion. Many European Jews on RUclips and TikTok as well as other platforms came out with their DNA testing results that showed their heritage from all over Europe (Poland, Germany, Italy etc) and zero heritage line that can be traced to the Middle East. That alone should tell you that the point where you start this conflict is extremely ridiculous and irrelevant because it distorts the truth of modern history. Few European Jews came to Palestine during the holocaust of Europe as refugees and made few settlements there among Arab Muslims, Arab Christian’s and Arab Jews. Some European Jews made other settlements elsewhere in Africa. By the end of the war the Zionist project was in play where the British brought all the Jews of Europe to Palestine after being expelled and rejected by many other countries until Palestine accepted them. This is where the true story starts.

Most scholars view the patriarchal age, along with the Exodus and the period of the biblical judges, as a late literary construct that does not relate to any particular historical era, and after a century of exhaustive archaeological investigation, no evidence has been found for a historical Abraham.
This video is leaving out crucial information. I wrote a comment explaining this - here it is (not meant at you, but the creator): You forgot to mention crucial information, like the Intifadas were acts of raging terror attacks ob Israeli civilians - including SUICIDE BOMBERS IN BUSES, RESTAURANTS AND NIGHT CLUBS. Despite that, Israel continued letting Palestinians work in Israel to support their families - because the Palestinian leadership was not focused on developing their territory to be financially stable - instead they invested billions of dollars donated to them by Qatar and others to build terror tunnels to invade Istael and slaughter Israelis, and to build rockets to fire against civilians.

After watching this, I support Palestine more.
Hope you and your loved ones are well 😢
I am not trying to rain on your parade of learning...but historically speaking, King Saul, King David, or King Solomon have ever been proven to have existed ..only mentioned in the Christiaan or Hebrew bible.
As usual conservatives and progressives have gone to the extremes while us normal, we’ll-adjusted liberals are left shaking our heads.
Beautiful said without using the archaic theology and promised land references so many people of all factions like to tout.
well, if one group are being evicted from their homes, thats not totally nomadic is it? and if jews want to settle there, was there not a more agreeable way of doing it? the idea of forcing someone out because you used to live there generations ago is either an act of war of a perpetuation of war.
for your last question, the partition plan was supposed to solve most problems, israel welcomed it, the "palestinians' (they werent even called that at the time), refused.
@@ferez1985 You mean how the video states that most of the 2/3 of the population was Palestinians but UN and Israel offered 44% of the land to them when In reality it was all theirs not long ago.

This video is leaving out crucial information.
I wrote a comment explaining this - here it is (not meant at you, but the creator):
You forgot to mention crucial information, like the Intifadas were acts of raging terror attacks on Israeli civilians - including SUICIDE BOMBERS IN BUSES, RESTAURANTS AND NIGHT CLUBS.

NONE OF THEM BELONG THERE … IT WILL NEVER BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST BECAUSE THE REAL JEWS LEFT BLACK AND CAME BACK WHITE ….
All over stupid books too. Pathetic man, I hate how stupid humanity is. This will not end any time soon you are right.
Aok Eric.. very impressive!
Complete and total war is inevitable now.
Europeans did the same in Africa, drawing lines on a map to divide the land between themselves without considering the tribes that they were separating which resulting in bitter disputes. Britain did the same by creating a line on a map separating India and Pakistan. Cause and effect. We're all living with the consequences of these decisions.

So we can say that the people who at the time of King Salomon where not Jews but rather people that followed the true message of God
That means that the people who believed in the message of Abraham were the ancestors of the Muslims today who are still following the right teachings of Abraham…. And the Palestinians follow the true message of Abraham… that means that they have an even greater right to stay in their own land!!!!!!

Husseini promised to organize a pan-Arab uprising and with the outbreak of World War II proposed to create an Arab Legion in the German army
On November 28, 1941, a meeting between al-Husseini and Hitler took place in Berlin. As reported in a news bulletin from Berlin, "the Fuhrer welcomed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, one of the most prominent representatives of the Arab national movement." During the meeting, al-Husseini called Hitler a "defender of Islam," and he, in turn, promised the mufti to destroy Jewish elements in the Middle East."
At a meeting between the Nazi leader and the Jerusalem mufti on November 28, 1941, Al-Husseini told Hitler: "Don't expel them, because then they will come here." Then the Fuhrer asked the Mufti: "So what should I do with them?", to which Al-Husseini replied: "Burn them."
Аfter this meeting with the mufti and being convinced of the ardent support from the Arabs, on the next day Hitler informed the chief of the RSHA Heydrich of his intention to totally destroy the Jews; Heydrich transmits these words to Eichmann, and he sends invitations to future participants of the Wannsee conference on the "final solution of the Jewish question" on November 29.
Hitler promised to destroy the "Jewish national hearth" in Palestine. Hitler promised Husseini that German troops relocated from the Caucasus and the Afrika Korps would "liberate the Arabs in the Middle East" and that "Germany's main goal would be the extermination of Jews."
Amin al-Husseini helped form an SS division of Yugoslav Bosniak Muslims.
This will save your honor."
The Mufti maintained good relations with the Nazis in the post-war period.
Did you watch the same video? It was heavily biased in favor of 🇮🇱.

During the seven day war, Israel won all of the land rather than destroying their enemies completely. They decided to give them some land in hopes for peace.
It's incredible to think there has been conflict almost non-stop for so long. It seems to be a "way of life". Even with this historical explanation, it's hard to understand why a compromise can't be reached.
Because of foolish religious doctrine “god tells me so it must be so”

Very impartial and lucid explanation of the historical conflict between the Jews/State of Israel and Arabs/Palestine. An excellent summation.
No it's incredibly biased and not properly researched. It is bunk.
@@TheresaGraf How is it biased? Would you care to elaborate?
@@beefylilun178I'm not sure why he'd say it, but it seems biased to me. The heart of the conflict is who the land belongs to and this video starts out by establishing it's jewish land due to events over a thousand years ago.
@@fefferryerr1818 So you think that those events from long ago do not truly impact the events happening today, and thus should be left out of the video? Would it make this video less biased ( in your opinion)?

It's a religious issue
Fun fact: Palestine is latin for the Greek term Philistine who were a Greek people from the island of Crete. They occupied Gaza, but that's it. They never had control of the land of Israel. The Philistines were sworn enemies of Israel, and thats why the Romans called it Palestine.
Look at the fact.. Modern Israel are white European.. Meanwhile. Palestininian are semetic

Golda Meir said "there will be peace in the Middle East, when the Arabs love their children more than they hate the Jews."
This regrettable circumstance has led to substantial suffering and violence for both Israelis and Palestinians, resulting in significant harm to both communities. As always, a very good video. The final sentence is precise and unambiguous - the circumstances have escalated to a critical juncture, and significant repercussions are imminent. Thank you for providing such a helpful video once again.

I think it’s easy to limit conflict to two countries but when you look at the History and you see the underline of colonisation as well as religious conflict you understand just how hard it is to not only understand but also try to manage.
So after 400 years they think they can just come back and take stuff from people that had nothing to do with what happened 400 years ago?? With the help of US and Britain???? We are wrong I see why Palestine 🇵🇸 mad!!! Free Palestine!!!! ❤️From USA 🇺🇸
Yeah , i don't even know if i should support Israel or Palestine, but the solution is to give Palestine 50% and Israel 50% wich israel won't accept, i don't think this war will end
The religion aspect is what makes it complicated, I think because in the name of religion they give/justify themselves/their actions despite how horrible/immoral those actions are
@@Aizygoat Why should Israel accept a 50/50 split. Wasn't Palestine offered a close deal 44% to Palestine and 56% to Israel. Yet they said no because of that now Palestine has less than 20%. All of this killing would've been avoided if Palestine accepted the 44%.
@@abdihassan4470 well israel wants to take the qods with Jerusalem wich palestine will never accept

Religion
That's (some) human beings for you. They all love to cling to their chosen narratives. And the consequences are profound.
I literally thought this video was just published now. Due to Hamas and the Gaza issues of literally right now. But it was published 2 years ago. Crazy. Very well put together and it provides some good context for what's going on right now

Load of nonsense… The Knaans and Palestinians are not remotely related, and the Palestinians were those who lived in the area called by the Romans as Palestine - including Jews..
They left out the reason for the isolation of Gaza. The Israelis pulled all their people out and gave Gaza to them. 11 days later they were firing rockets into Israel. Egypt is also isolating them to the south.
Thank you. I have found this to be very educational. it seems there will never be a total pace in that area whilst they are so divided in religion and who owns the land.
It’s religion that causes problems all around the world 😢it’s a shame

You read the Arab version of this history. It is all fabricated and lies. I studies history till PhD. It lies.
Most scholars view the patriarchal age, along with the Exodus and the period of the biblical judges, as a late literary construct that does not relate to any particular historical era, and after a century of exhaustive archaeological investigation, no evidence has been found for a historical Abraham.

This video is leaving out crucial information.
I wrote a comment explaining this - here it is (not meant at you, but the creator):
You forgot to mention crucial information, like the Intifadas were acts of raging terror attacks ob Israeli civilians - including SUICIDE BOMBERS IN BUSES, RESTAURANTS AND NIGHT CLUBS.
I was here because of the recent atrocities. Thank you for the information. Great and informative video!
