Come on, Margaery is the smartest, the kindest, the most well-loved, and she knows how to play the game. She didn't kill or betray anyone, and other than Cersei, she didn't have any real enemies. Not to mention that her house is one of the smartest, most humble, and richest in Westeros.
She was only well loved because she made sure the higher ups "saw" her being kind to the common folk, not because of her being genuinely humble. She revealed that when she was locked up with the high sparrow.
Edit: Highgarden is second of the richest in Westeros, not first. House Lannister out ranks them by the way.

I have to vote for Margaery as Queen since she has displayed more appropriate royal like behavior then anyone. She understands court politics and how to be people's queen. Only Sansa comes close to that and Daenerys...with the help of Varys and Tyrion she can be great but that's true for all of them except one: Cersie! I like Arya the most but she is way too much of a badass to be spending time on a throne...she'd make a great secret agent/assassin for any future queen. We have three more seasons to find out...oh the suspense.

How does Sansa come close to that? She doesn't even know how to be as good of a ruler as Cersei, and we all know how well Cersei does lmao. I'd say the only person who comes close to Margaery is Dany and Dany is a better liberator than a ruler.
I feel the exact same way! I would either have picked Margaery or Danerys. But Arya’s my favourite, however she never wanted to rule, just like Jon Snow and just like Ned Stark. She wouldn’t like it because it would bound her. Sansa I don’t trust, she’s too clever for anyone’s good... but idk maybe I’m wrong, maybe she would stay true to herself.

Margaery is the only right choice. Just compare her to Cercei. Cercei allied herself with the High Sparrow, then immediately was thrown in his dungeon. Margery was thrown in his dungeon, allied herself with him and was released. She also went from being married to the guy trying to usurp the king, to being married to the king and popular among his subjects in like 4 days. She is just way better than anyone in Westeros at playing politics.
I have to be with Natalie on this one. Although I nearly love all of these characters, I still think Margaery would make a good queen and I am sad she was the only one who voted for her:(
From here we can see: Maisie and Sophie love each other, Lena and Grendewine love each other esp character wise. Lena is such a huge fan of Brienne! She almost cried when she did the commentary of Brienne vs Hound... she's kinda the Jaime in real life
Just realized that Brienne hinted the end of season 6 about cersei sitting on the iron throne turns things into dust...
1) Dany - she already is the best kind of Queen a country would need, especially now that she has Tyrion's counsel.
2) Sansa - when she toughens up a bit and learns to actually play the game better she'd be a good Queen, I'd say she's pretty close to that.
3) Margery - wouldn't be that bad either, she'd actually be a pretty good Queen 'cuz she already knows how to play the game & also knows how to endear herself to people buuuuut she doesn't exactly do it for good reasons, she just wants to be the Queen and that's it. We'd have to see how she'd go about being the Queen, if she'd actually do good for the people, then yes, ok.
4) Arya - I'm actually thinking Arya might be up there with Dany 'cuz she has inherited her family's teachings of honour etc so she'd rule for the good of the people, Arya knows of treacheries etc seeing how her family members were murdered so she'd be aware of the dangers and as a "no one" she's got the skills to protect herself and immerse herself in whatever role is needed and will kill someone if it's needed, that's something Dany's kind of lacking.
Dany for the Queen with Arya as the Hand of the Queen and Sansa their counsel. ^^

Dany is a terrible queen. She cant even keep one city under control. She almost always ignores the advice of her far wiser council and is utterly ruthless to anyone who crosses her or thinks differently and executes people without trial. Not to mention Dany is awful at manipulating people and generally playing the game. There is no way she'd last long in Kings landing.
3) Margery may not have good reasons for why she wants power but thats the only reason she wouldn't be a good queen. She wants to keep the people on her side and knows how to do that. She even made Jeoffery popular with the people.

Book dany has shown that she can make concessions and I believe she's getting the grasp of what being a good ruler means. Let's just see how things go when WoW comes out.
N.B: dany has had *zero* education compared to all of these women. Sansa learnt how to be a lady since day 1, Arya had her needlework practice :P Margaery has excellent political education and Lady Olenna trained her veryyy well. And cersei pretty much learnt everything from being in the political arena for so long under the shadow of her badass father. Too bad she never learnt to harness all that power.
Margaery is the obvious choice for a queen *Consort* and she'd be very powerful as one.
If we're talking of Queen *Regnant* then it's either Danaerys or Sansa (Queen in the North).

I vote Dany for ruler, Margaery (and Tyrion) for Hand (I totally ship them, dead or not), Brienne for Head of the Queen's guard, Arya for Master of Whispers, Cersei for Master of Coin, and Sansa for "babe in the woods". No seriously Sansa can stay as the Lady of Winterfell once Jon and Dany get married.
As a book reader I’d 100% say Arya or Dany. As a show-watcher I’d say Margery.

So in my personal opinion I think that Margery would be a great Queen. She was kind, patient, reasonable, but most of all, she was smart.

Dany as queen (we've seen that she is kind with innocent people), Sansa as mistress of law or hand of the queen (she is the only one with a political mind that isn't dead ~ Sorry Margaery, love ya. As it stands at the end of Season 7, Sansa, to me, would be the best Queen. Love Dany to buts, and thrilled she is in Westeros, but Sansa is better than them all as a ruler. Arya as her hand/body guard. Dany can go and rule Dragon's Bay. The people love her there. Plus, more room for the dragons.
My dad worked on the project so this is pretty funny. They shot an alternate ending, that will be released when GRRM finishes the books. Cersei burns down kings landing with wildfire. Rules the ashses. Danny walks through it like in the prophecy and he even said it ends with danny preggers on the iron throne with Jon as her hand. Sansa still gets the north but he said there was something much cooler for Arya but refuses to spoil that.

I don't know why people picked Arya, because that's not her thing at all. She'd make a good assassin for the queen but she's got no interest whatsoever in politics. So she'd make a pretty bad queen in my opinion. Same for Brienne. They are fighters, not rulers.
I agree completely with you and I would even go further and say that what makes Brienne admirable as a person ( honor, rigidity, a somewhat idealist/romantic view of anyone that's nice to her as well as her stance ) coupled with a complete lack of political knowledge and diplomacy would lead her to be the worst queen. I would be hesitant to say she would do worse than Ned Stark in a political setting, but Cersei navigates in Kings landing political scene better than Arya and Brienne do. For years she has watched the Kings doing ( or mistakes ) , and she is the daughter of a very pragmatic and king like man, she knows what money is worth and she has more experience than any other women listed. Among other things she was even Sansa's mentor for a while, and factored in Sansa's evolution consequently. Cersei has little to no care for the people, people that don't like her and she doesn't like either, she is hyper focused instead, on the people who matter ( her family ). It doesn't make her likely to sacrifice herself or her own comfort for the larger number, but it also makes her unlikely to deliberately cause something that could have them rebel against her. So no, unless she is cornered like she was in the case of the sept, I highly doubt she would burn the city down. What she seeks in power, among other things, is safety ( for her, and her children ). Ironically Cersei as she ended was probably known as a decent queen who allowed the people to find solace around the castle ( she definitly had ulterior motives but I am talking about perception ), she would also be remembered as someone who rang the bell when defeated so as to prevent further damage to kings landing population. It is again, more that she wouldn't want to die and have her child die with her, but what ultimately will be told in songs in and in history is probably how selfless and benevolent Queen Cersei was as she reigned. At the time of the video I would have said Margaery > Sansa > Cersei > Daenerys ( I never saw her as a truly capable queen as much as a conqueror ) > Arya > Brienne. I would now switch Margaery and Sansa as Sansa's wish to be queen comes after what she thinks would benefit the people; while Margaery was a cameleon and she was doing what benefited the people ( or absolutely anyone she encountered really ) because it could serve her ambition to be queen. Sansa is queen to help people, Margaery helps people to be queen ( and as an end result it can be fine, make no difference at all... except when the different party you are trying to please oppose each other in Margaery's case, I don't know what she, as an indivual in need to make a choice, would prioritize ).
