My thoughts, precisely. Hateful yet inevitable to compare, at least a bit. Joep has managed to exceed Max, Dustin and all his other colleagues and contemporaries
You're music is therapy for the terros that torture my mind. It puts my whole mind to rest when it starts being overwhelmed. Thank you Edit: it's been three months and things have gotten so much worse. Your music continues to be the therapy that prevents me from killing myself. I don't know how much longer I'll last, but thank you for keeping me alive for this long. Hopefully all gets better, but as I'm typing this rn, the only thing on my mind rn is wanting to disappear. I truly love your music, please keep playing for those like me.
Hey, I don’t know how you are now but have you heard of EMDR therapy? Give it a try.. Also check Mind Valley - RUclips channel.. I hope you will feel better soon.
@@gaelhillyardcreative I'm alive. That's all I can say. I guess my will is stupidly strong. But I'm no longer me. I'm what's left. At any moment I could be put to rest. I am trying my best to maintain connections but it's so hard. I've lost almost all sense of feeling. I feel like I'm forcing certain emotions. Sometimes I find myself getting carried away and talking on and on and on about myself. That's probably because I desire communication, but I'm about to completely shut that off too.
@@desautumn1010 I'm doing a lot better thank you. I'm not really depressed anymore. However I've noticed the affects it has even after I'm not suffering from it directly anymore which is unsettling, but I'm doing really well. I think I started to improve once my highschool counselor found out about everything. It was the day I almost gave up but she found out and from there it has been steady improvement. And so I'm in college now, freshman. Thanks again
I love the way you play. It seems like silence is part of the piece, for you. You're not seeing music like the others. Pianists tent to be a little bit show of sometimes. And i feel like your much more humble.
I bought your Solipsism and Prehension piano sheet book and play a number of pieces from time to time. Among many, Midwayer is my favorite. Thank you for your invaluable artworks, Joep. You're my favorite pianist.
I'm new to practicing piano. how hard are his songs? I'm sure the hardest part is putting the emotion into it, but as far as just the mechanical piano skill needed, how would you rate the difficulty?
@@weaponkid1121 Hi Boblo. I am not good at piano much but with some practices I could play somewhat half of the songs in these two albums. Some songs do not require # and b so it was easier for me to play. Hope it helps.
Joep, your music's like a prayer. I am feeling sad as we speak then this pops up. Two bars in your passion and emotion behind your keys has me teary eyed AGAIN !!!
I love your music. I found you on Spotify a few years ago, and you quickly became one of my favorite pianists. Your music is pleasantly haunting, sad, and beautiful. I have gone days listening to your albums on repeat for hours and hours on end, and I have slept to your music hundreds of times. I appreciate you and your music. Cheers brother!
I want to write a story that gives the same feelings this song does. A since of terror and unsettling grief yet an ease of mind. Readiness for death, even. Maybe hope.
Your music it’s a balm for my soul, on this past months your composition helps to order my thoughts and find peace to my life, thanks to you and your grandma for inspiring you!
I listen to alot of Joep's works along with Olafur Arnalds in my studio as I paint and it really helps me focus on my work and reminds me I have a serious job to do and that I am at my easel not only to play (tempting as it is!). September is a truly beautiful piece. Big hints of Chopin but so much more elegant and relevant to the 21st Century.
Hi Joep... thank you soooooo much for what you give to us. You make me believe that humans are so... unpredictable because capable of 2 extremes : the worst, but listening to you, also the very best. And this brings in me deep joy. You make me think of Ludovico Einaudi
Wow, amazing I'm so curious - What have you done to change the timbre of that piano??? It sounds like a warm woolly sweater. I used to play with strings exposed and front board removed, but my piano sounded nothing like yours... I love hearing the cushioned hammers hitting the strings accompanying the music!!! Indeed that's a sound effect created by this instrument that eludes our scrutiny until the advent of modern reception technology. AND To me, it really gives a human touch to music making - SOMEONE is working that music out, unlike the usual virtuoso by the piano maestros who might sound too crystalline to be approachable.
Tuned to 432. Sounds great. Interesting most un-researched piano tuners don't believe or understand the science behind 432 hz. Most tuners refer to proper 432 tuning as an internet hoax.
September was the month my wife was life flight to the hospital and my daughter was born, it brings up the exact emotions I felt during that time, one of my reasons of starting to learn piano was to learn this song.

There's something about Joep's style that reminds me of Chopin (and that's a very good thing!)
Just found out about Joep today in Spotify and unless I went to check, I would have thought it was Chopin. It was this piece...
That's looks amazing when one of the greatest composer's support another. Greetings from Poland for both of you
Indeed, he is the reason i started to compose for piano myself.. Mesmerizing as always..
No one is saying he copied Chopin. I was just saying that some elements of the piece, some chords, reminded me of Chopin...
Yea exactly! I'm not really a fan of classical music but somehow i LOVE chopin and Joep's music. Maybe there's some connections to it
Honestly Joep Beving is one of the greatest composers of the 21st century. His work is an experience like no other. 👌
My thoughts, precisely. Hateful yet inevitable to compare, at least a bit. Joep has managed to exceed Max, Dustin and all his other colleagues and contemporaries
I agree
Fine, everyone is always the best ever, all the time…
Keep calm take a walk. Listen to Beving.
