I have played piano for over 12 years. During the pandemic, I injured my hand in a way that now causes intense pain to play. After several bouts of therapy, treatments, injections and pain meds. I still am left with pain. This was the last song I learned and I haven’t played in two years. I packed up my piano, gave up the dream, and let go of it all. Then, I find this song again. After two years and forgetting all about it. My leading hand still remembers what to do. My left knows where to go. Here I am mimicking playing on my lap. Trying not to cry. Please don’t take anything for granted, you never know when you won’t have it again. It could be gone tomorrow. I will never forget the feeling of flying when your memory takes over and leads you along. I will always love it.
I was listening to this music and then my neighbor came and we listened to it together. He said this music really changed his life and it touched my heart. Then we shared it with the people in the village. My village people are so grateful. Am proud to say cool music wow thanks for sharing.
I feel there is a giant waterfall inside me, washing away some unknown melancholic thoughts...I have to say so long no music left such an impact on me. Thank you so much for this experience.
This was selected to accompany drone show at Burning Man this year(2018). He was in person playing the piece as the art filled the night sky. Absolutely one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever experienced.
Same. Funny thing is that 1 year after that, I looked through a window of an art atelier in my street to discover that Studio Drift is practically my neighbour.
Heard this song first time last night. Went to bed thinking about it. Woke up and listened to this song about 20 times until now. Speaking about now, it's 2:21 AM and I started learning this piece. The pleasure of playing this is unbelievable... I can't get it out of my head. Thank you Joep.
This was one of the first songs I attempted to learn on the piano when I first started. I’ve been playing for 3 years now and still play this song often. Thank you for the inspiration and beautiful music ♥️ I actually played this for a friend experimenting with psychedelics once and it brought them to tears
The sun rises now while I’m listening to this piece. I feel like it does the same effect on me as the sun does for the night, wiping all darkness away, letting the light in.
I am working as a room cleaning Girl in a Hotel because i Safe Money for my Music College..today the sun was outside Here in the north. I could smell the ocean and the Wind was streaming through the entire room as i was Opening the Windows and Terrasse Doors, to enjoy this beautiful Wind. To live in this exact Same Moment with this Music in my ears and the fresh Wind in my Lunge filled my heart with so much Joy and Love. I wished that everyone could feel this much of Love. I am working 6 Times a week, sometimes 10 hours to Safe AS fast Money as i can do, sometimes i am verry exhausted and feel Kind of lost But this Piece Always bring's me Back home.
Danke Sygnum, Danke Joep Beging!
How can anybody dislike it ?! Poor unloved, cold hearted , dead souls ... I hope one day somebody will come your way and shows you what it means TO FEEL.
I hope you see this.🍂☁️🪴 This melody takes me to any time it wants to every time I listen to. As I can't be even sure I ever had lived those seconds or not. For me it's a time capsule. The only melody that I would perfectly die for. I hope I see you face to face one day and sincerely thank you for your masterpiece. I'm glad you exist. I'm glad you created this incredible melody.
to me this is a cold winter day, you step outside and see your breath, the world is covered in white snow, peaceful and quiet, and you walk through the forest covered in frost, wondering ...
so ive had this in a Spotify playlist for a while but never really paid mush attention to it, just recently ive really appreciated it and i think im in love
God im inlove with this sound i wish i found this sooner.. playing the keys in this way doesn't it bring you to a whole other world ..away from the chaos of reality.. when i play like this it brings peace to my mind as if i get lost above the trees or in waves of tall grass as the sun is hovering above..or the rhythm of waves crashing againes the shore on a misty evening..
The first time I saw this video was on cable TV. I just pushed another video of you on RUclips. I clicked in to watch it with curiosity. I didn't expect to harvest surprises! So it's you! So beautiful~ Thank you
I've heard your Ab Ovo among other piano pieces on Peaceful Piano playlist from Spotify and remembered its name right away.. It simply took my breath away, slowly building up, hitting the listener with such beautiful chords.. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will never forget the first time I heard this.
Let me introduce myself i am that little voice you´ve been avoiding for some time Let me introduce myself i´ve been waiting for you silently speaking in a low voice you´ve heard me you know Let me introduce myself i am all that stops you from overcoming yourself in difficult times Come sit in here just by my side Listen to me i am all that matters now @kyokotago
If this guy made this piece back when classical was the only thing around, he'd definitely be considered one of the greats. We'd listen to him like Chopin or Beethoven, but his distinctly simplistic minimalism would've set him apart as unique by a long shot.
I hear this type of music specially when I work on my desk or sleep. friends or people always complaint about why I hear this type of music but honestly I do not care much this music take me to a world of peace, it take my soul of me. Sad that no many people can not enjoy this art of music.
I discovered Joep while laying in a pitch black room tripping on LSD with a pair of B&W P7 headphones and the experience was truly amazing! The ambience of the room, strings and hammers really bring an extra dimension to his music. Unbelievable quality on his recordings!
Your music always makes me think of Finding Nemo and not in a bad way, i'm so obsessed with it. Same thing with The Lights She Brings... en aangezien we dezelfde taal delen, dankjewel
I am so aspire to get to this level, this guy, Hania Rani, Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, Max Ritcher, I mean all these amazing composers that we have are truly what inspired me to develop even further as someone who started off with just electronic music, and to now the beginning of this year to just dive in as much with my music. Currently working on my first album, and everyday I hear something new that it is truly inspiring and beautiful.
Idk what the title of this beautiful work means but it sounds both sad and hopeful as if I watch someone who is at the end of overcoming their loss or grief and find some bright side eventually. So beautiful. Thank you for making this!
Ahhhh... someone like me that enjoys to play with simplicity, dynamics, emotion and atmospherics. 😊 Hopefully I'll be able to share my music like this.
Solipsism and prehension is really good it was actually my music for studying and sleeping it makes me calm and tp be focus or when i close my eyes it makes me appreciate everything that surrounds me.
Elements of this sound similar to the chords from the Beatles song 'Eleanor Rigby' if I'm not mistaken. Really beautiful. Thank you for recording and sharing

THANK YOU FOR SHAING. HOW HOW can I learn to play MANY INSTRUMENTS FAIRLY.WELL PKEASE. I am learning fairly late and struggle with depression.
@@leif1075 dont rush it its not worth the hand pain and stiffness, also hire a teacher. One instrument at a time too
I saw Joep Beving live last night in Amsterdam, and I just couldn't stop the tears as he was playing this song. Truly a masterpiece.
Yes, i understand that
Loooove Joep Beving, his music is so beautiful.
I agree! I came here cuz of your video :)

Totally agree. He is a great inspiration for other fellow composers 🤘🎹
This man is so underrated.
overrated
This world keeps giving us these totally brilliant musicians.
not the world, but us, we, all together ... as One
I was listening to this music and then my neighbor came and we listened to it together. He said this music really changed his life and it touched my heart. Then we shared it with the people in the village. My village people are so grateful. Am proud to say cool music wow thanks for sharing.
beautiful stuff man.
Someone told me that this song evokes a sense of HOPE!!!
I feel there is a giant waterfall inside me, washing away some unknown melancholic thoughts...I have to say so long no music left such an impact on me. Thank you so much for this experience.
I feel the same, a surge of melancholy that was not there before. Beautiful piece.
Me too.
My heart is Fall of empty ,my soul is Fall of sorrow
it's so freaking beautiful that everytime i hear it, i burst out my tears. someone please play this at my funeral, give a moment to myself.
how has no one heard this song. Its a true masterpiece.
agree
Yep !
It's a nice piece, not a masterpiece in my opinion
Doesn't come close to something like Clair De Lune
meh, just standard 'sad movie' trailer music
It's not a song cuz no one sings
it's saddening to see how such a beautiful piece doesn't get as many views as it deserves
Share it with the people you love, they will appreciate you telling them about this beautiful peace.
because only few listen good music! greetings from Ensenada Baja California, México.
Who cares about the views. Just read the comment and you’ll feel better. Bliss
1 Billion views is not bad.
좋은 음악 좋은 연주에 감사드립니다~~~
Believe it or not, this masterpiece helped me to go through my hard time in life and gave me so much power . I want to say” thank you “
Tanrı seninle olsun , zor zamanlarında insan kendine inandığında her şeyi başarabilir. Sen çok güçlü bir insansın buna eminim.

Same. Funny thing is that 1 year after that, I looked through a window of an art atelier in my street to discover that Studio Drift is practically my neighbour.
I misread and saw that he was in prison playing this piece, now that would have been interesting
That sounds amazing
It captures sadness and desperation... just like my aching heart!
Дякую, неймовірно ніжно, красиво, тепло, стільки любові!!!❤❤❤
Man.. why am i crying..
It feels good and bad at the same time
You oughta know, you just made me feel genuinely happy with your music.
I feel like I want to play this song on repeat and paint and see where the music takes me. I'm completely entranced by it.
it takes you on a music journey mentally ruclips.net/video/6B3KA5rVVVo/видео.html

How could something so simple be so beautiful?
I feel with you
Similar as Satie, minimalist.
I'm so happy you're coming back to Toronto, and you'll be just up the street from where I live
The sun rises now while I’m listening to this piece. I feel like it does the same effect on me as the sun does for the night, wiping all darkness away, letting the light in.
An antidote to the lunacy that is life these days. Beautiful.

Never give up on your dreams ! You can do it. Give yourself a treat once in a while for saving that much already and working so hard.
I feel like I join another space when I listen to this piece
And they shall be called The Holy People. The Redeemded of the Lord and you shall be Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.
Love this song but not to just listen but to play 🎵

The Masters of the Universe.
This, the art of music.
We meet in a world where only the chosen ones are.
Let me
introduce myself
i am
that little voice
you´ve been
avoiding
for some time
Let me
introduce myself
i´ve been
waiting
for you
silently
speaking
in a low voice
you´ve heard
me
you
know
Let me introduce myself
i am
all that
stops you
from overcoming
yourself
in difficult
times
Come
sit in here
just by my

Listen

i am
all that matters

Just wow...
What a performance! Absolutely stunning!!!! Such tactile emotions.
You reach my soul, your music, is me.
I found this as I do all the best music. In random music tangents of discovery

This song overwhelmed my senses as I was driving and listening on XM radio. It is so splendid.
Along with Nils Frahm, and Jon Hopkins, Joep creates music that inspires me to create music, Bravo!
i'm such a big fan of Nils !
And Olafur Arnalds.
Michael Nyman
This piano is absolutely amazing. My favourite from your new album is either An Amalgamation Waltz or The Man Who Carried The Wind. Magnificent

I am everything
