- I pick up the BEST character in the game on turn 7, making the HARDEST campaign actually easy! Lü Bu is a one man army and completely destroys everything in his path...
This is my first time playing Total War, it took me around 50 hours to learn the game pretty much inside and out (there's still a ton I don't know but compared to when I started i'm Einstein). This is the main reason I haven't been putting out any videos the past few days but I do have some League and other stuff planned. I do apologize for butchering a majority of the names and Dong Min is actually Dong Zhou's brother.

Yuan Shu declared himself emperor but his faction was so weak since all the competent generals already left with Sun Ce. Especially the part where he can't pronounce any of their names right, even going by consonants he's still off the mark.
Those hero units are pretty op, so yeah it is pretty similar to Dynasty Warriors. That is why we prefer a more classical setup for generals.

I just became the Joker, and fuck everything. Imagine just like being slaves to the system/hierarchy, and breaking it - whether for good or worse. John was already dragged again and again + hurt so much that everyone should fall.
John also don't know the part that Remi is a good girl - John probably knows static Rei but not the whole story of both sisters and brother being innocent/hates hierarchy and shouldn't harmed.

That jade seal was used by the kings to authorize orders or law changes. Extremely expensive to make or duplicate. Can only be used by the lord himself. Made it a strong sign of power.

i thought the history is there is a fraction in the capital and they try to overthrow the royal regime, but the royal supporter called the nearby warlord to save the capital, and when the city is on fire, Dong just enter with his force and nobody at the capaital could fight against that. Then he look at the situtaion, and he decided that since he saved the royal heir he will made himself the second man and rule the palace as if he is the king. or.... this game is suppose to be a bit later in that history? couldn't tell which year was it begin from the vid, or i missed it .

You rekindled my interest in Total War. I used to love the games through Shogun 2, then began losing that interest. It seemed as if the games became less interesting and more annoying to manage, but maybe it was just me.
Watching your approach took me back to the approach I used to take. The enjoyment comes more from the journey than from reaching the destination. At some point I had become impatient and less interested in trying to achieve optimal results. That's what kept me playing the earlier games. Thanks again, man!

20:58 He actually got most of his damage when you charged into the archers where the towers are. The TOWERS are the one that hurt him. Without the tower, he would be above half HP.

Never played the game but one of the reasons I watch your vids is even if you're new to a game you try to explain why you are doing what you are doing, it's really helpful and provides a lot of insight, would love to see more total war!
Funny note, twitch player beaglerush(beagsandjam) plays with the Faction Zheng Jiang and managed to first marry Sun Ce, son of Sun Jian (and getting Zhou Yu the childhood friend of Sun Ce for free right after), and after that marry off the heir Lu Zheng to Lü Bu and get him as well.
Playing on romance, they take towns alone, but if he manages to keep Lü bu in the long run remains to be seen.

Before this I was only watching your league stuff and ignoring everything else, but I really like how i was able to watch this and understand the gist of what was happening because of your great commentary. This is exactly why I love this game. The ability to recruit other faction commanders once they are destroyed. I remember jumping up when Lu Bu first appeared in my recruitment tab. The legendary army of Lu Bu, Zheng Jiang, and Zhuge Liang.... that was the good stuff.

They say among men, Lu Bu, among horses, Red Hare. Lu Bu's horse is a legend of legends. Before the Han crumbled, an advisor of China found the edge of Alexander's Greece, and reported that he had special horses that were extremely stocky and durable and not like the horses they had in China, which were faster but leaner. The jade seal may not seem important or have some kind of stat that explains it, but it may have a passive negotiation bonus in real life that thing is very important, it basically is an item that the emperor himself owns, and is a major thing to claiming yourself emperor. It's the item that Sun Jeng found that made him try to be emperor in the first place. Yuan Shou even tried to have him killed by Liu Baio for having it, which eventually worked. I've been learning alot about the three kingdoms history and that seal is kinda huge. Explains why it's so important.

Also you're ruining your own fun. Cheats remove all challenge which is like 90% of most games. All you do is watch animations play out and I bet you'll get bored of that before 50 hours, let alone 100. But hey, it's your money.
Such a grand title for a character that's often available in the recruitment pool by turn 5 (much like Xiahou Yuan).

for those interested,theres this movie kingdom released this year.i dont know how far they take to the story but in the manga its about king of qin trying to conquer china and we all know what happen in the real life history.the manga showcase a lot of strategy that will help you in playing this game. it shows how they distribute and utilise generals for 100,1000,to 10000 and more units.and how best utilise archers,infantry,horses,fort,and more.
Zhang Liao is like Lu Bu Bromance. I mean Lu Bu only respect very few people and Zhang Liao is in his top tier level. Sentinel having fire arrow maybe because their best unit the Pearl Dragon is like a hybrid glaive-archer. I really like that unit as a shield wall, they have unique formation that boost archer damage and charge reflect but can't move, basically like a spiked wall that shoot machine gun.
Btw there are two type of legendary Character, a unique legendary and a generic legendary, basically any generic Character would became legendary when one of their stat hit 100 points, Unique Legendary on the other hand always has a special nickname/title under their name, like Lubu "Warrior Without Equal" and Zhang Liao "The Heavenly Dragon General", While generic legendary only have generic title like trader or sumething.

You break down everything. every other youtube i watch doesnt go into their plans or the skills of generals ect, I love this style as it teaches me everything I dont understand about a game I've already sunk 20 hours into and its awesome seeing Lu Bu. (my fav character in the game)
Ps. I believe Lu bu has or unlocks an ability to get stronger the more enemies he kills, not sure if you have it unlocked yet tho.

i dont usually see this kind of stuff. but i like supporting you and your channel, so ill watch anything. this game seems interesting, and with your commentary i find myself enjoying it.
In history, Lu Bu and Zhang Liao were both in the same rogue unit that basically roamed China until Lu Bu's death. So that was dope when you ran into him and recreated the gang.
Also, one of Zhang Liao's most famous feats was defending He Fei with 800 hand-picked men against 200,000.... So don't worry, that guy can defend Luo Yang and any other castle you want. As soon as I saw him and Lu Bu together I knew this campaign was gonna go well lol.
My friend bought lubu with legitimacy, it was our first game on three kingdoms. I also should note that it was relatively early in the game.
The thing about losing alot health with lubu on the attack of that village is the towers+ charge from front, the play was kite the pike to the village and attack them from the rear or sometimes flank depends wether if their pike are standing or moving, note towers do 1000+ to single combatant, try when ever win a battle to still pursue the enemy until every 120 unit get to 14 and every 30 unit to 3 where in the next battle it will put them into recruiting states, however sometimes if you got lucky and pursue every unit their army will get completely destroyed.
LU BU is the Chad who could Solo the Senior Football team. Swear this man is a Demi-God.

Good fights bro! I genuinely forget that there are going to be people that buy this game WITHOUT having ever played Dynasty Warriors 2 and up and was very surprised that you did not recognize Zhang Liao.
I don't have many movies or the like that I HAVE to get back into when I am reminded of them (though Lubu taking those guys out was VERY much like Achilles) however, I do get this wild hair every once in a while to re download my space flight simulators like X2: The Threat and X3: Terran Conflict, even though they make my computer slow and take up a lot of memory.

Military supplies doesn't really matter, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I completed a Gongsun Zan campaign and never have struggled with supplies ever.

You can use only 2 generals to win second battle (for the city) and you will lose nothing. Just keep moving and charge constantly.

Great vid, hoping for an accompanying VOD to go with that clean playthrough stream. You're pretty great at tactics in games like this and it's very entertaining, even for someone who's never played Total War, to listen in on your decision-making. You're not bothering me with your somewhat erratic uploading schedule, admittedly I'm still waiting for more wildcard WoW, or with your tendency to restart runs when you get a new idea for a good start or the like. Plays to my tastes, I guess, and although as a careerist you need to consider what your entire audience wants, know that some of us out here get it, and just appreciate you for the way you attack these games. So I suppose I should thank you for the free entertainment.
