Another well videoed repair that should allow your viewers to do it themselves and save them a lot of money at a repair shop. You made it look so easy i think anyone will be able to accomplish this repair themselves. Once again EP comes to the rescue with another informative and well detailed video. Well done and keep up the good work i think your viewers and subscribers really appreciate what you do for them.
I had to find your video again to see the belt position and I’m glad I did because I misaligned the belt just a little bit as far as that metal rod that comes up. Thank you again!
This was very helpful. One thing to note, The belt is a Stens 266-147 as shown in the video, not the 246-147 as stated in his notes. I reseived my trimmer alreadt dissasimbled so I needed this guide to get it repaired. Thanks
Thanks. This Craftsman EXACTLY the same as my Husqvarna HU625HWT. Putting new belt on, wasn't sure which side the belt guard was on. You provided the perfect view !!
Nice video, good idea with the Gorilla tape, I use tie wraps, Now I will try the tape. Thinking about the belt, LOL. This year my front wheel drive lawn mower wasn't pulling I way I thought it should. Twice I took the drive wheels apart cleaned everything also made sure nothing was broken or damaged, it works better BUT. Don't ask how old it is. I'm 77 and I don't even know. My thoughts have always been if it's not broke don't fix it but I will now at lease check the belt. Most likely I will replace it after watching this video. Hope you get a good laugh out of this, I did.
Good idea of keeping your equipment clean. Belt friction against dried grass and leaves is not a good thing. Fires can easily be started especially your equipment which would be a disaster. Over 10 years in this repair business and have seen many mowers with melted plastic belt guards all from small fires that were put out quickly.
Hello I hope you can help. My dad's line carrier plate and mow ball got torn up. I ordered a new carrier plate and mow ball the plate went on fine, but how does the mow ball attach to that shaft? , can you please record a video taking off the mow ball and what the nut on the mow ball screws into? It'd be a great help because I think in missing a part
Good camera work. I have had this since 200 something cant remember when I purchase it. The belt just failed after many years of good use I replaced it and now it turns the weed cutter portion all the time I saw in your video that it did the same thing but no lever up means you can wheel it around without spinning cutting anything. Have you fixed that issue in another video?
Now hold on a minute the OLD MAN at EP takes exception to this comment, just wanted that on record. Nice one dirtriderx500 Jake and i work together rather well just gotta get him to let me do a video one day. May need a push from his subscribers though whatya think?
If there is a video on a Gravley i will check it out to see what the difference is, amazing how some companies make repairs difficult with their engineering designs eh?
My friend used mine and broke the return string and stretched the belt because he held the bar down when he pulled the recoil. I replaced those items but now when I activate the head by squeezing the bar, it squeals and immediately dies. Any suggestions?
I have the same thing. Mine just keeps running with that bar thing lose. And I have to pull the cord to the spark plug to shut it off. The head on mine broke but I have no idea to take it off.
I have had one like this for 8 years now. One of the tires went bad. I put new ones on .I still use it today 😊 thanks Jake for the show brother 🙏
Great machines Brock and easy to maintain.
@waynestefinashen239 you bet buddy 😊

@@waynestefinashen239 Thanks for the info, I know the guard is cracked so when I change the belt I'll tape up the guard.

@@waynestefinashen239 LOL 🤣 Wayne 🍻 buddy
Well done video!!!! Thank you!!
What size belt does my walk behind 160CC viper take
i just got an old one of these running, spindle bearings sound horrible like marbles on sandpaper. wonder if its rebuildable
Got a new spindle and cutter head for $90 with a Husqvarna number. Same exact machine as Dixon D190t22 and a few others
That is much easier than the belt replacement for my gravley wheeled weed eater that is made by areins mower company
If there is a video on a Gravley i will check it out to see what the difference is, amazing how some companies make repairs difficult with their engineering designs eh?

well this helped me. The one i have is a little different looking, but similar enough to make this work. Thank you for sharing/posting.
could you give the part # for the spindel
Thank you!!!
I'd drop those axle brackets down just enough to were I can slip a belt through there if I was the owner
Thanks !
Let's replace the wheels with pneumatic turf tires.
