For the reason that Spydrums enter Spytraps: It’s probably simply the spider’s instinct, and after they hatch they have already begun searching for a plant.

A name for the insect inside the Spytrap could be "The Fire Spy", because of the Light Element and the Spytrap plant being named after it. Amazing video once again! You always put a smile on my face whenever a new M. Biology video comes out. Keep up the good work!

It should be called the spyder since it's called a spytrap. It traps some type of spider with spy in it's name so, makes sense.

This in my opinion is the most realistic of all m-bs. As from a biological perspective, this is the most likely to be real, just the way its explained could be put in a speculative biology novel!
Aside that Spytrap cannot sustain itself on Spydrum's turd that produced by it's very sap. It's a closed system, and due to the enthropy it would collapse.

The normal ones are the colors of the rainbow, and the rare ones are the opposite color of their common counterpart, so it would make sense if the epics were "no color", or B&W

I always thought the Spytrap caught the "Spydrum" by atracting it with kinda like feromones or smth and then snapping it's leafs shut trapping the spydrum inside and then it proceeded o slowly digest it iwith it's "sap" and the spydrum was trying to escape, hence the punches. I think i had another theory for the red light but i can't remember as of now

Maybe a spy trap is a parasitic plant. It doesn't need leaves. maybe it feeds on the titan of the light island

Here's some lore: bulbo a two element monster on light island was created in a lab before on light island but the first attempt at making him didn't go so well. A huge monster ran around the lab and since the monster was made with spider DNA it could shoot webs. It shot a web at a wall but the webs were strong so it crashed out the lab making the monster fly out with the web. The Scientists knew that wouldn't be good so they had to make a trap so they planted a spytrap a monster thats known for trapping bugs. When the monster came by the spytrap got it. But there was a problem, the monster was strong so if it wanted to get out it could and it was in the wild so they sended it to light island even though it was a failed experiment. The monster remains there on light island trying to get out till this day. I broke my fingers writing this so please like

All msm creatures are herbivores, treativores, electrovores, gods that don’t need to eat, or autotrophs. The Spytrap is probably a sentient plant like Punkleton than just wants to make music

the thing inside of spytrap is definitely just a younger form of a bulbo, it has the exact same elements as the spytrap, minus plant.
plus, it's in its name, SPY trap. the description of bulbo describes it as a spy

This is cool! I always thought the Spydrum was pounding on the pedals because it was trapped and wanted to escape. I never thought it benefited from the Spytrap.
my theory is that the actual spytrap monster is the plant, and it catched an unknown monster that i think is the light island mythical... or maybe an evolved version of bulbo

Wow I would have taken the easy way out and just called it a Venus fly trap for spydrums, but you created a whole cool amazing lore about the behaviors

I was just playing MSM just now and I realised something whilst I stumbled across celestial island, and that’s how there’s no celestial to represent:
-Light
-Psychic
-Faerie
-Bone
And then it kinda bothered me for a while till I also realised there’s no celestial for the element of mythical, so I was wondering IF there
were 5 more celestials for those elements, what would they look like and what instrument would they even play?. Well I suppose that’s for you to figure out.
Do that for an msm draw! He would love that I’m sure! Also I think the reason for no magical celestials, is that they were not in dof, the islands, read into the lore if you dont know about Dof

Perfect I just saw a instrument about Spytrap and then I thought about his lore!
I would name the creature the spytrap caught a “ slammoth “ because of the slamming actions the creature does, and that the extensions on the arms tend to indicate fur. I personally think that it has some relation to the mammot, but also would be more similar to a bulbo rather than a mammot. I love your vids, please keep it up!

Monster theory: the enchantling is an insect and not a mammal. All insects have six appendages. All mammals have only four. The enchantling has two arms and four legs totaling six appendages, therefore it is an insect. Following this logic that makes a Cerberus also an insect.
In prehistoric times there were fish with 6 flippers. If THOSE fish made their way to land, creatures that evolve from them would have 6 legs. Enchantling isn't an insect, because it has no mandibles and no wings.

Although Spytrap hides a creature, called “Spydrum”, we all don’t know whether the Spytrap is just one singular creature, or if another creature somehow got stuck inside.

Honestly, I'm not sure on the name "Spydrum", considering that the insect isn't the drum; it's the drummer. Personally, I'm more fond of the name "Spyder", but that might be personal bias.

The red light thing probably wouldn’t work for bugs but I don’t know if bugs can see red so I might be wrong but, the other fish can‘t see red light because the one that uses lives in the twilight or the hadal zone and red light disappears that far down so only some fish down there can see red light. Most fish closer to the surface can see red light but at those depths there aren’t really any colors so most fish are blind but like I said I dont know if insects are the same.

I feel like the Spider in the Spytrap could be called Spy, because the plant is a SPYtrap, meaning the Spytrap trapped the Spy, and it rhymes with Fly, another bug.
OR they could both be the same species, and the Plant part is a Male, and the "Spy Drummer" is a Female, and when they mate, they disperse a seed like egg of a male, and when the male grows, an egg for a female grows with a transparent yet cloudy shell, and the shell inflames, leaving a shell for the female to drum.
Idk if this is too fictional, but it seems cool. If you have questions ask them in replies.

Spy trap (spytrasterrus luiminuis) produces a type of nectar that lures the spydyre (spyterrus listiderrus) and then the spydyre helps the spy trap when it hits the spy trap by making the spy trap become stronger and the light of it gives the spy trap photosynthesis. Now rare spy trap. The spydyre blows a bubble around itself and floats around until it finds a rare spy trap then it attaches itself to the mouth of the rare spy trap then the spytrap moves by hopping with it's leg until it finds a spot for it to live at with the spydyre. Now epic. Epic spytrap produces light and then the spymofth flies into the epic sptraps lantern because it get drawn to the light

A spytrap could be a male spydrum and the spytrap with the biggest bulb and the spydrum lays eggs and the spytrap fertilize the eggs and then blooms like a flower when the eggs hatch

i think a good name for the insect is "septem luscus aranea" which translates to "seven eyed spider" in latin because it only has seven eyes.

My theory takes a dark turn.
The common spytrap (spytrapus spytrapus) captures the spytrap bug (drumillus trapidus) with a nectar-like substance.
The spytrap bug proceeds to hit the spytrap's trap, trying to free itself, until it gets digested by the spytrap.
The Monster Handlers have confirmed that it's not trying to escape. It's a symbiotic relationship.
