I have sat on this episode for over a year (since the 2021 lockdowns) because I have kept trying to improve the audio. This is honestly as good as its going to get. I am really pleased with the content and style of this video but the audio is miserable. All episodes after this have a new microphone with much better wind protection. Anyway, here it is. More videos to come, with no wind noise ever again.
I've a hunch there was a blowing stone on the top of Ivinghoe Beacon (The beginning of the Ridgeway) from the Beacon you can also see Grim's ditch.. Great video btw, liked and subbed!
Great video and discussion - after the unlikely discovery of Richard III's remains, I suppose anything can happen in terms of miraculous archaeological discoveries! New technologies are also proving immensely helpful in the "search for England" (and the search for the past in general)!
Thanks so much for this fascinating and informative video. By the way, Aldworth parish church is definitely worth a look inside if you can; it hosts an amazing collection of medieval funeral art. Thanks again
Interesting - thanks. Probably the most important battle in our history and world history and we are not sure where it happened, like most battles until recent history.

Thanks, Adrian. I enjoyed that very much. I've wondered about the location most of my adult life, l reckon! 😊

I can hear it ok with my new hearing aids and it quite clear. Very good .
