@Guerteltank it was also about the tyres. Because they weren't allowed to run them for more than a certain amount of laps, the race was a proper flat out push from start to end with no tyre management in corners. So drivers were right on the edge of limits in those hot conditions

Dangerous to have them do a f1 race in those conditions. Imagine racing there during the day, seems impossible. These guys are pretty fit, trained to drive these cars.
Imagine having to do only a few laps at pace. I would pass out so quickly.

Good to see, nobody noticed that Lance had a physical problem.
You bloat how marvelous the crew reacted.
They and everyone else in the pit ‘ FAILED’.
But this is typical of F1. Supposed Thee most everything that exists to be the best F1 invented it.
Do not line NASCAR or Indy Racing. But there medical response teams are light years ahead of F1.

It's the ground effects that exerted all the forces on the body which is causing all this. It reminds me of the 1982 Brazilian Grand Prix which was also held under oppressive heat in Rio. You had Riccardo Patrese spinning on the track because he just couldn't drive anymore, you had the original winner Nelson Piquet fainting on the podium during the prize giving ceremony, before weakly spraying the champagne. That's what's happening here.
