All the patches I'm playing is part of the default set that comes with Dexed ( asb2m10.github... ). I'm also using Valhalla Shimmer at 62% wetness on the Volca FM. The background track was made with Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch ( hypermammut.sou... )

I wanna add Valhalla Shimmer to my life, just to make it better.
ask paul, he'll help you. mr. paulstretch.
Valhalla on the master and call it a day
Hell yes. 2049 might be my favourite soundtrack of all time, along with the Vangelis original
Also might be the best film of the decade. Can’t wait for Dune next year!!
@@feelmytool How did you like Dune?
@@archerofficial5603 Now waiting for Dune Part 2 in a few weeks.
Pure ear candy. Feels like I’m floating over a futuristic apocalypse.
Back to work JC
It always looks like you're commanding a spacecraft panel!!
I was listen all music what you do... And i should say, that it one of the greatest experience of my life... i dont know why, but its makes me happy. Dont understand how people can make somethink like this?! Excellent work with deep soul thx you.
Wonderful!
I listen to a lot of synth people, and this piece is one of my favorites as is this artist! Props remix!
I just bought my first Volca Bass.... It is just a begin...I'm not musician I hope just get some fun.
Your Job is the most terrific I've listened in a lot of time.. I'm glad to find you
1:13 -- Sounds futuristic yet retro. Love your work!
🙏
Extraordinary texture. Beautiful... it is like watching a movie without the movie.
i bought Valhalla Shimmer 2 days ago, i now understand why your tracks are magical
this plugin is so good it should be illegal
Killing it.. Softly.
I could listen to this for days. Just glorious.
Dude, your stuff is always so soothing and relaxing
Nice! Thanks!
Magic Music
Awwww soooo dreamy. Class stuff . Thank you so much for uploading. I can hear angels , planets and cosmic dust and things not yet imagined .
Perfect sunday morning hangover aid.
So glad I found your channel and finally subscribed. I can't get enough of your ambient pieces. Thank you!
Awesome! Welcome on board!
You are the master of Volca FM, fantastic!
This is great as always; looking forward to a jungle/tropical ambiance type sound! (If you haven’t already done that) 💯
Thanks! Hmm no I don't think I have. Gonna have to find some of those sounds somewhere first. I'll add it to my to do list. :'o
ethereal, love it
This sounds so "Blade Runner"
or that scene in the movie "Bloodsport" during the last fight in the Kumite when Chong threw the dust in Frank's face
I can't stop imagine Rutger Hauer on a Dx7.
good show, would love to see a “how to” on this one
Thanks Todd! Well you kinda saw it as it happened. Besides the backing track I played/noodled this live as I browse through the presets on the Korg Volca FM. The backing track was made by stretching a short loop I had made earlier with Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch. I'm working on the tutorial side of things. One day! :D
Here is the backing track before I stretched it into a pad btw soundcloud.com/remixsample/backing-track-for-volca-fm-2049
@@RemixSample what patch in dexed are you using?
They are all from the default set. I used patch 23. Cascade the most
Pretty much.
This is great.
I just recently bought a Korg FM and would love to learn how to play like you do! Awesome video!
ya right!? Same. My brother plays percussion. He would love to learn how to play this!!!...🎹🎵
you are one of not so many people who are capable of making the best out of so little gear, just with passion work and talent. thank you for taking the time to give all this to us.
Thanks Alan! XD
Well that’s pretty, bloody beautiful!
Okay, I can't take anymore of this! I'm subscribing!!! :D Fantastic stuff you've got going here! :)
Thanks a lot Ken! I appreciate it!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Props to you for actually using the touch keyboard! Everyone else is like "fuck that", and I'm that one weird guy going "hey! I like it!".
How lovely is this.. Excelente sound skulpting man!! Your FM style its awesome
I can't explain why, but this tune reminds me so much of Big Fish and Begonia. Too beautiful, PURE MAGIC
Thank you! Im going to check out that movie.
Chills, everywhere.
Oh wow! Yup, definitely going to get this next. I have the Beats and Bass Synthesizers. I've used them to make industrial music, and Dark Ambient music.
Nice! Yeah you are going to love the Volca FM. Especially if you get the latest version with 6 voices. It's so diverse when it comes to the sound it makes so it will fit the styles of music you are into for sure.
One of your best pieces - I listen to this one a lot.
Happy to hear that! Thanks! :D
With this music i cant wait to see flying cars all around the cities
For years, Deckard lived alone in the old casino hotel. A neighbor, living many blocks away in the abandoned city of Las Vegas, had taken up beekeeping. Deckard never talked to the guy, didn't know if the bees were real; but replicants couldn't reproduce so they must be. Well, most replicants, anyway. He thought of Rachel once more as he stood on the balcony with his dog, looking out on the wind-swept desert.
oh, this is so nice
Thanks :D
This track reminds me of the tear Garden "oo EE oo" one of my favorite tracks of theirs! I used to fall asleep to it every night.👌
Cool! Gonna check out it! :D
@@RemixSample I really think you'll like it!? It's off their first album "tired eyes slowly burning". From 1987. It's a collaboration between cEvin Key of "skinny puppy/download" and Edward ka-spel of "the legendary pink dots".
A nice wind down piece after long day at work...
really deep, lovely stuff... wow. bravo!!
Sounds like that one game that was tease 2 years ago but hasn't been released, Scorn. Same otherworldly, haunting, desolate vibe.
Oh yeah! I had to look up that game! Creepy :o
Stunning! I could listen to this day after day.
Please do! Thank you!
Love it! Listen to it all day for background music on laptop!❤️💯🌟
Very nice. So much great sound coming from such a small device.
Perfect.
Thank you!
this would be perfect for a movie soundtrack
это какое-то инопланетное волшебство
👽🎵🎵
REALLY nice piece... Thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Thanks a lot!
This piece made me order a Volca FM.
This is so beautiful. So very beautiful. ❤❤❤
Thank you! ❤
Amazing pad
Thanks Rik!
No me canso de escucharlo, desde hace años. Enhorabuena!!🤩👏😄
KORG should pay you for this!
Thanks! Yes that would be nice.
excellent! reminds of john serrie type music which i listen to when working...
Thanks! I just checked out his sounds and I see what you mean. Great stuff!
Beautiful! Just bought the Volca FM. Now I know how to use it! ;-)
Nice! Have fun!
thanks for the link to Dexed.
Made me think of homeworld
Wonderful piece
cosmic !
Love that sound!
Thank you!
Stunning work...
Feels like this tunes are talking to me like they are whole family and trying to say something to me differently
That being said, Hardware Valhalla would be a no-brainer. Digital in all its glory.
Love the video as much as the music.
Awesome! Thanks!
Nooo wayyy!!! Incredible
Sooooo good!
Beautiful
Love this one, still coming back to it! What was the background drone made from before being stretched out? Such a rich sound.
I don't remember exactly but probably one choir patch from Omnisphere and a bass and chord from The Legend Vst.
Great work dude! I'm new to synth ant wanted to ask you how exactly you've set up you're volca fm so you're able to put effects from inside a DAW on it and still play in real time?
Keep doing what you're doing man, people are loving it.
I just connect the Volca FM to my Focusrite audio interface with a audio cable. I can then monitor the sound live in my DAW and apply vst fx to that audio in channel. It's a very simple setup that you can do in most daws. Thanks, will do! :D
@@RemixSample The one out from the Volca is mono, right? How do you make it stereo?
beautiful music
Thank you!
Wow! Great sounds
Great jam!
Reminds me a lot of 36 - Pulse Dive if you haven't heard it. Just needs some slight reverb'd percussion to be in the same vein. Good stuff. I really want to get a Volca FM and run it through my Ventris reverb for stuff like this. Cheers!
wow, thank you
The endless race that can be but ignited in the realm of space
Masterful!
Thanks Kim!
paulstretch is the shit
Yes this is very good
Ace sounds as always mate
Beautiful!
Thanks Jimi!
Exceptional!
That was mesmerizing! Could you do the theme tune from my all time favorite movie Blade Runner? 😍 It sounds like you have most of the samples from that song available in this setup. 😎
i'm getting my fm next week if i can make anything sound remotely like you ill be happy
Sprinkle some (valhalla shimmer) reverb on it and you'll be golden! FM synthesis sound so much more interesting with some cool effects on it. I imported the default set from Dexed ( asb2m10.github.io/dexed/ ) using a USB to Midi cable into my Volca FM so those are the sounds I used in this video. Have fun!
@@RemixSample cheers mate I actually have a mooer ocean machine on my guitar rig that has shimmer on its reverb I'll give that a shot but the Valhalla shimmer intrigues me I'll have to check it out too.
Magical
Crazy Good!
Woah
Grande!!BRAVISSIMO!!!👍👍👍👍👋👋👋🔝🔝🔝🔝
Ambient bliss! 👍👍👍👍
Cheers!
I have watched all you volca vids, reeeaaaally amazing. I am curious about the way how you input MIDI into volca. Is the signal from audio interface or any sequencer?
Thanks! I usually send midi from FL Studio into the Volca FM.
@@RemixSample Got it, thanks for reply
WOW!!!
Subbed
Fantastic! Thank you!
Blade runner 2049 in full effect.
I'd kill for Valhalla as a physical pedal. Great track and performance by the way!
Thank you! It's possible to get Valhalla Shimmer in Eurorack format thanks to the Z-DSP module but it's very expensive. You'd be better of with something like the Ventris Dual Reverb.
I'd love to ask you some questions about the Volca line. I'm a drummer with a roland spd-30, korg waver drum, mpc-40, ableton, etc but the only hardware "synths" I have are an roland mc-307 groovebox and a Novation mininova. I also have the RC-505 loop station. I'm currently seeting everything up to record and start posting videos. Im a huge cyberpunk fan (Im 45) so this king of music and synthwave/vapor is part of my DNA. Based on what I already have and what I'd like to do, ..ethereal electro and synthwave what Volca(s) would you most recommend?
I think I'm about to spend some money......... AGAIN
Insanely killer! What the midi input you’re using for?
Thanks Jack! The cable is connected but I'm not using midi in this video.
Nice! which reverb did you use?
Thanks! Valhalla Shimmer valhalladsp.com/shop/reverb/valhalla-shimmer/
the new Dune soundtrack
I wish haha! XD I'm gonna try and make another Dune inspired song this week.
💯
Honest question (From someone who wants to buy a Volca FM 2 but cannot justify the purchase right now....Can you get this same sound using Dexed and Valhalla Shimmer? (I.e. software only)???
Yes! 100%
Nice!
This is great, are all the sounds from the Volca FM? So it's just the volca multitracked and the Shimmer?
Thanks! Take a look in the video description for more details and links to what I used to make this. It's basically a backingtrack + Volca FM played over it.
I loved it!! I have one Volca key.. I gonna try somethig like that =)
