I hear you can have your home sealed though.
Hi Betty. I can answer that. The HRMC is there. But it's beyond awful. They almost killed me, so before they had a chance to, I walked out of there and my husband picked me up. I can count on all my fingers and toes the number of people I knew that died in there, and not just the elderly. And the lawsuits for medical errors are high. It's about 2 1/2 hours to Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, and 2 1/2 hours to Las Vegas where there are also good options. After 10 years there, this is the main reason we moved away. Loved the red, white and blue, conservative small town though. But you can find those in many places, and that's what we did.
Hi Betty, there is a medical center here and in Kingman (about an hour away) there is a hospital. Many people drive to Phoenix (3 hrs) or Las Vegas (2ish hours) for a hospital.

Hi! When it’s summertime, the lake does get very warm. If you’re talking about the river below Parker Dam, that is cooler, but I’m talking about the lake in Lake Havasu City area. 😊
We drove around the various neighborhoods a few years ago. Every street looks so incredibly boring, devoid of character! So many houses in muted colors with huge front yards of nothing but monotone gravel, a driveway, and perhaps a few isolated desert plants. No curbs, sidewalks, even decorative lighting or walls. It's like the only real color source are the blue trash cans! Why are there so few attempts at beautification?
Some things have changed lately; I see a lot more landscaping and decorative lighting. Havasu has a streetlight ordinance so we can enjoy the dark skies; lighting is muted some. Curbing & sidewalks are up to the city. We are a unique city and may not be for everyone. There are pros & cons, just like every other city. Maybe come back and enjoy the growth the city has seen and have fun in the lake! :)
It's lacking originality it seems as if there is a sheep herder and everybody is just following along, and away to make it seem boring and keep people away!
You left out the awful medical care and doctor choices. Not to mention the horrible hospital. I knew so many that ended up suing due to malpractice and wrongful death. The Kingman hospital is a bit better. We left for many reasons. Go for a non holiday week in summer, rent a pontoon, that's the best part of Havasu.
LOL it's not that bad. But I do believe in managing expectations. Every place has its plus and minus and we just have to decide which is best for us, within them. :)

You must be thinking of somewhere else. Havasu is much nicer than surrounding cities like Parker & Bullhead. I think being red is a big plus. On the other hand you need money to move into Havasu. The price of housing is very high.
Tourists want you to wipe their behind for them with a smile, and expect a refund if you don't do it correctly for them.
Reason # 6. A large douche element, at least amongst the tourists. Partially ties into the red thing tho not completely.
The tourists truly are the absolute worst. Maybe it is because I have to cater to them, but I have never had a worse type of customer.
