Are the Mk. 1s in Vancouver being retired soon? Because here in Toronto, we have no choice but to keep then for now. However I do recall hearing that there was a plan to buy Mk. IIs from Vancouver, however was scrapped due to a subway extension. Is all of this true?
TotalGamerNerd 9433 Well its technically not true at this moment. But it is true that the Mark I trains are to be retired in the next decade to be replaced by the Mark III trains. Not too sure about the TTC Scarborough RT though since I'm not living in Toronto, but I heard that line 3 (Scarborough RT Line) will be closed due to the proposed subway extension of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth Line).
According to some sources, the repainting has been completed, but not the refurbishment. I heard all 1985 Mark Is will be refurbished by the end of this year.
+Jeff Rouse Actually it comes way before Bombardier took over UTDC. In July 1986 a Quebec-based company called Lavalin now known as SNC-Lavalin Group which now operates the Canada Line after SNC-Lavalin purchased Pro-Trans BC like somewhere about couple of months ago if I'm not correct but anywho, they purchased an 85% share for the Urban Transportation Development Corporation. UTDC now became Lavalin Industries or SNC-Lavalin. Then shortly after Lavalin took over UTDC, the whole division was sold to Bombardier, so I know already the the 95 ICTS Trains 137-156 was made by Bombardier itself just a typo mistake I made in the vid.
@10:43 apparently 133-134 is now retired 😭
The one dude who "High Fives" the train cars got me. Other than that, cool video.
Why does the 1991 have big windows

TotalGamerNerd 9433: Actually their not retiring anytime soon! Since some of them got refurbished they will stay in service for a longer decade!

Why does some of the Refurbished Mark 1 cars still have their pannels red?
I was asking that before

Did you mean the blue one is1985 or the red and white
Skytrain of Subway train cars
The 1995 Mark I version (137-138) is Bombardier not UTDC although Bombardier acquired UTDC.
XD typo I meant to put 1985 UTDC /1995 Bombardier ICTS Mark I
I agree with you because when I rode car 144 witch was a 1995 mark 1 type 3, the plate said Bombardier
