Why do the "original expo86 style" skytrains make that "revving" sound when they take off but not the bombardier 1/2/3? Also notice a few original cars painted in the new colours. Are they eventually giving all of them a new paintjob?
Always wondered whenever I visit Vancouver why this station was built so deep underground compared to say the Canada line which is only a short distance underground and it's a big contrast to the rest of the skytrain which is mostly up in the air and open. Escalator up is really long and I couldnt help thinking while riding to the surface that maybe something important was nearby on the surface in the 80s and that station was built to double as a bunker if need be because the Cold War hadn't ended yet when this was built
Right now they are testing the Mark III right now so I don't know when the Mark III's are going to be in service but I think that in my opinion it's going to be in service in mid-August or the end of August.
SO ADORABLE
I'm betting that once the new trains are in service, the Mark 1's will have 6 cars instead of 4
