The real Superbowl was two weeks before when the Niners played the Cowboys in the NFC Championship .

This is the best 49er team. Steve young to this day is grossly underrated.

1995 -- I was nine years old. Watching your team win the Super Bowl at that age is such a magical experience. I'll never forget how happy I was.

This is how football was meant to be played. No penalty flags every 5 seconds for so much as breathing on another player, no jumping to the sidelines every 5 minutes to hear an announcer blab about something which doesnt pertain the least bit to the game, no Jumbotron shots of Taylor Swift and whoever else a player happens to be dating. God, I miss those days. All football and no fluff. Such a simpler time

Man this 49ers team was a juggernaut loaded with Pro Bowl players. Definitely one of the best teams ever. Steve Young had one of the best seasons by a QB ever, Jerry Rice, Brent Jones, Ricky Watters & William Floyd on offense with Bryant Young, Deion Sanders, Ken Norton, & Merton Hanks on defense. Just wow.

I grew up in Daly City, right outside of SF. There was an an El Torito restaurant I used to go to with my family there and one night we saw Jerry Rice at the bar. The waiter told us it was his favorite restaurant. My brother and I went up to ask for an autograph. We were super nervous to bug him and all we had was one of my dad's business cards for him to sign. He was super friendly and happy to sign the card for us. Good guy and an all time great player, great memory.

I played drums in this Super Bowl. I also got signatures from the Hall of Famers on my drumsticks before the performance. What an experience.

There was something special about the 1994 season! The 75th season! The throwbacks! I'm 36 now and always look back to this season for some reason.

This was one of the very few Super Bowls where where I knew the underdog San Diego Chargers had no fucking chance in hell of winning

  • @BrakRulesAll

I was there - sitting directly behind Mike Shanahan's trophy wife, teenage son Kyle (now 49ers coach) and daughter. My only disappointment as a 49er fan was that it wasn't a better game. It was over midway through the first quarter. What a season!

Wow this was actually the first Super Bowl I ever watched. I was so young. My parents taped it, I watched the shit out of that VHS. So many memories.

Been a San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers fan since 1993. Soon as I saw the pre-game intros I have to say RIP 😢😢to: DT Shawn Lee (1966-2011), I met him at a 1994 Chargers mini-camp and got his autograph when I was 11-years old. RB Rodney Culver (1969-1996), I remember when the police and such was searching for his body and then when they gave up searching for his body in the Florida Everglades. LB David Griggs (1967-1995), C Courtney Hall (1968-2021), and DE Chris Mims (1970-2008). And of course LB Junior Seau (1969-2012), I grew up loving Seau's play and celebrations when he made big plays as a kid and then young adult. I was devasted when he committed suicide 10-years ago.

I was born 4 days after this game. My mom probably cheered loud enough that the 49ers are instilled within my blood.

1994 San Francisco 49ers the finest offensive machine ever assembled perfect players at every skill position but let's give a shout out to that extremely underrated offensive line!!!!

  • @brycenamie8418

Here after tonight's heartbreak. This will always be their last Super Bowl win. They ain't never winning another one unfortunately.

  • @token555

Ahhh....my first Superbowl. This was the season mom and I bonded through football. Diehard niners fans ever since and almost 30 years later, we still watch every game.

Deion Sanders said in his interview with Shannon Sharpe ( Dec. 2022 ), that he was responsible for encouraging George Seifert to put in Bill Musgrave in after the 2 minute warning in the Super Bowl . . AND call a pass play for him, as a reward for his hard work as the scout team QB. Musgrave didn't play the entire season, but he got in on that last offensive play for the Niners for the Super Bowl . . and completed a pass.
