    Question do you rinse off the foam you applied before you wash with the mits or you want to just use that foam along with it.

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  Год назад +1

      It really just comes down to preference.
      I know some detailers rinse the foam off before washing the car, but then again they don’t do the pre rinse on the vehicle like I did (step 2)
      So basically it’s up to you which process you’d rather follow.
      I personally believe it’s much easier if you pre rinse the car, spray the foam on and wash the car like that, that’s why we have the bucket and grit guard to clean the wash mitt throughout the wash.
      There is NO right or wrong way, like everything in detailing it pretty much just comes down to finding the best way to get it done efficiently and effectively for you.

  • @BlackHatProductionsx

    • @detailingbeyondlimits

      TJ, do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have!
      I like to recommend having separate towels for cleaning specific things around the vehicle.
      For example, you don’t want to use the same towel you cleaned your wheels with on the cars paintwork.
      That is why I encourage to have a set of towels to use only for door jambs, as they tend to be really dirty most of the time and you don’t want to cross contaminate your microfiber towels.

      When you are working in the sun you really just want to be as quick as possible with your steps, and at the very last if you do encounter some streaking, you can touch the paint up with some quick detailer or a spray wax of your choice.

      That’s correct! Any expense you spend in your business FOR your business can be claimed as a write off when tax time comes. Just make sure to have the proper records / receipts. For better explanation and specifics you can always resort to a CPA or Tax Attorney if possible.

      I’m my strong opinion, it’s all about doing the proper research and understanding how things work, don’t rush into something you don’t really know much about until you get more educated about it! Speaking to a CPA for guidance is also best. Hope that helps!

    Hey wassup man, you've inspired me to start up detailing as well but I have a quick question, how do you dilute the car shampoo with water?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  Год назад +1

      Awesome! Are you asking for the soaps dilution ratio in a foam cannon? If so, it all depends on how thick you actually want your foam to be.
      It really can vary based on what kind of soap you’re using & what kind of foam cannon you actually have.
      Generally speaking though you want to add maybe 4-5 ounces of car soap and fill the rest of the foam cannon with water. Hope that helps!

    Question how do you get the bugs off the front or tough dirt does the pressure washer knock them off I don’t have one

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  Год назад +1

      You definitely do not need a pressure washer to get rid of bugs up front, you usually just need a bug remover sponge that is scratch safe (not so stiff or rough) and maybe use an all purpose cleaner or a dedicated bug remover spray. Even though we have a pressure washer we try our hardest to be as safe as possible with the cars paintwork.

    Why not use microfiber towels which would have a total of 8 sides and use 3-6? I do this all the time and never does a dirty towel go back in the clean bucket. I stopped doing two bucket method years ago along with wash mitts.

    What's the average time it takes you clean a vehicle?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  Год назад +1

      Favy, it usually depends on several factors like the size of a vehicle, it’s condition & what service will be actually getting done, generally though being a team of 2 we knock out cars inside and outside in about an hour to hour and a half. Hope that helps!

      Mark, how you properly wash a car is all preference based, we always wash with different methods bases on how dirty a vehicle may be and what is ideal at the time, hope that helps! 👍🏻
