Every time I turn up at my local Triumph dealership they try to convince me to swap my 2021 765 Street Triple RS for this Daytona, having scrutinised it but not ridden it I’ve concluded I already own a better bike.
As a former owner of the original T595 Daytona, I've always been a fan of Triumph's triples. I think it was a real marketing masterstroke for them to concentrate on this configuration as it really made them stand out from the crowd. This latest iteration seems like a great, real-world package - probably better for the road than the old, more track focused 765. While, as you say, the 660 may not be track focused enough for trackday addicts, don't forget that Triumph has actually developed a race kit for the bike in conjunction with Peter Hickman. They run this bike, with the race kit, in the new for this year Sportbike series at BSB rounds. It's actually scored some podiums, so it's no slouch on track!
@@luddite6239 oh for sure- in the right hands this bike can be a weapon! But it’s definitely a more road focused bike, in the same way it seems focused for a younger generation rather than for people who loved the old Daytonas
It's a good looking bike, like all Triumphs. Now if only Triumph would put that instrument panel on their new 400s. The instrument on the 400 singles is horrible, it's bad enough to be a deal breaker and needs an update..
@@vinnyd8108 i certainly liked it! Would I buy one though? 🤷🏼♀️ Personally no, I’d more likely buy a street or (budget permitting!) a speed triple as I gelled with those bikes better 👍🏻
It really depends for who and their budget, I’d go for a daytona 660 for the price as in my country the rs660 cost a lot more and the Daytona 660 offers a great motorcycle for the price.

Yeah no chance the new Detona comes close to the Street triple.
@@ironhorsehero1988 haha sales guys have gotta do what they gotta do of course but in my opinion, you have the better bike 😉
My daytona 660 rips...

Ah really that’s a shame, I haven’t ridden the 400s yet but don’t hear many complaints about them!
@@CourtneyScarlettMotoOver 50,000 buyers in just one year don't seem to mind!
Not really sold on it then ?

Nice 👍🏻 looks like a perfect day for a cruise.

The number plate holder is a bit err....bogging. Triumph are turning out some nice bikes at the moment on the whole.
Tail tidy sort that right out
Yes I’m not a huge fan of this either, I think it’s probably no1 for most people to change as soon as they buy one 😂
Agreed 👍🏻
Is it better than a RS660….

😂😂 better than an rs660... No it's not and could never be. it's just a faired trident.
