I know exactly where that Shell gas station is. It's along the 395 in Pearsonville. I've stopped there many times on the way to and from adventures along the eastern Sierra. I once asked someone in Lone Pine where was the cheapest local gas. She said the locals go out to Olancha, but if you can make it, Pearsonville is the cheapest around. That being said, I didn't notice it was any cheaper than other "nearby" (I use that term loosely since nothing is nearby in that part of California) gas stations.

Ahhh... California. I was born, raised and lived in southern CA for most of my life (until I escaped to the mountains of Arizona six years ago. Politics in CA are terrible!). I've been to many of our national parks and Yosemite is still my favorite for the views and the hiking. I'm glad you were able to visit there! Yeah, I know... you haven't gotten there yet in this first episode, but I saw some of the views in your intro. I test rode several Indian motorcycles a little over a week ago and the Sport Chief was one of them. It's a pretty good bike (love that 116 engine!) but with my old body the ergonomics would have killed my back if I'd have done the miles you put on it. Good job, Courtney! I'd have loved to have met you on your visit!

@@ericromeiro6688 thank you very much! 😊
It’s a great ride right lone Pine has some interesting history. Some yellow driving glasses in your bag in case you get caught in the dark?
@@mseifnia I brought a clear visor and then in a panic to not overpack the bike I left it behind - silly me. I’ve learned this lesson many times over so I should have known better! 😅
Pro tip… reduce the music volume by at least 50%, if not more. We can barely hear you and can’t hear the sweet music of the engine at all…
@@timphillips8966 sadly the action cam only picked up wind noise and not engine for most of this footage which is why I cut it! But absolutely will take that on board about the music 👍🏻 admittedly I went back and forth on the levels a LOT for this video so it’s a journey getting it right for sure! 🤣🤘🏼
I couldn’t hear the conversations because of the music and had to move on in the first two minutes…..
@@fastdude2002 fair enough, that’s a shame. I’ll work on it for next time, I’m still learning 😊
@@CourtneyScarlettMoto no worries, I will be sure to check out your next video.

Ahhh...
@@Scout4x what lovely places to live! Completely agree about the politics but what I’d do to live amongst such beautiful scenery!!! 🤩
Was a real joy getting to ride through all of California and especially Yosemite ☺️ and yes the sport chief is fantastic but the super chief that Carolina is riding in this is truly the most comfortable bike ever, I had a quick go and could suddenly see the appeal 😅👌🏼

Not subbing
The politics are wonderful in California and that is where the smart people are. The dumb people who have been duped by Fox News are the brain dead who moved to Arizona. And don't forget it is the Democratic states in America that make up for over 70% of the nations gross domestic product.
Lovely vlog- new subscriber- love the feeling of just hanging around a gas station- never get the same feeling if you rock up in a tin box do you?
I watched your last girls trip in France! This one looks amazing, love the bike you are on ! You look so cool 😎 and badarse on it! Just wondering what helmet you are wearing? Looks awesome! Ride safe xx

What a cool ride. I’m glad you were able to come here and have the opportunity to ride. I ride a KTM 1090 adventure which is great to get out on there and explore the gravel roads

Awesome trip & video, 1 day il get out there & do a bike trip. Would love to do a route 66 bike trip, & raise some money for charity for my friend who was a motogp photographer who never got the chance to do it bless him. This is the closest to a "green with jealousy" emoji I could find! 🤢 A sunny Californian Highway 101 definitely beats a drizzly Hampshire A27! Enjoy.
