Loved hearing about these places, three of which I've never visited, but need to put on my list. My dad was born in Cashmere in 1916 (lived to 102 yo) and grew up in Cashmere, Peshastin and Wenatchee until leaving for Southern California at 16 yo. Whenever he visted Seattle, a day trip to Leavenworth for a German lunch, Prey's Fruit Barn and Cashmere were a must.

when we first got married, my husband and I lived in a travel trailer in the area for about a year hopping from Leavenworth to Cashmere to Plain to Wenatchee every few weeks - the dream is to be able to move back there in something that can withstand the winter because our little travel trailer was not it lol we had made it there from Texas as the plan was to keep driving until we found somewhere cool to start our married life together and Leavenworth was show stopping - we just didn’t know the winter was going to be that snowy 😅

That’s amazing! Yea, the winter can definitely be cold! A lot of people around here go south for the winters.

There is reason most of these places have almost nothing there! They should be happy to have anyone moving there or living period.

@NWcpl, I guess everyone is looking for something different. A couple of the places mentioned in this video are really are nice for those looking to get away from the crowds.
