I know right? Brock actually showed us a fairly impressive pile of bear poop that he found while exploring around "mother nature's helipad" before we got there :P
WOOOOWWW!!! Just... WOW !!!! You are a genius man !! Don't know how you do it, but it's amazing how you made me got goose bumps a few times with this incredible edited footage !! Beautiful and lovely family! Congrats and thanks for making this for all of us !!
aviation is awesome, sharing it with the next generation is perfect. I love your daughters reactions on the flight ,looked like an awesome time to be had in the wilderness.
This was by far one of the best videos I have seen. The scenery and the montage at the end was very nice! Thank you for all your videos and sharing this experience with us all!
I got my CPL(H) at CYXX and saw my schools 44 in the background :). Felt like home seeing it all in the video. Glad you got to have such an epic helicopter experience!
This was very cool to see. My grandfather and I spent many years flying out of YPK(mostly to Chilliwack for you know what). That was a long time ago and this brought back some very fond memories.
I spend a lot of time on Pitt Lake and Pitt River boating and often see Brad in his helicopter. My first thought is where is he off to now. That whole area is spectacular to view from the water and thanks to Brads videos I know what the surrounding mountains and lakes look like from above. Thank Brad and Bentley
I had the pleasure to take the controls of a Schweitzer helicopter . It was fun, but I would still prefer to be in an airplane if something were to go sideways. Airplanes want to fly. Thanks for another great video. Beautiful landscape! Cute family!
I toured British Columbia a second time just recently. My absolute dream province. Such a nice landscape!!! BC is more spectacular from the air than from the ground in a car...
great scenery flying in helicopters. beautiful video. sublime shots; thank you very much for video. formidables paysages survoler en hélicoptères. belles vidéo. sublimes prises de vues; thank you very much for vidéo.
Wow! I expect a great video every time I see the "1" behind FlightChops, but this one is more than just great. What an awesome scenery! Thanks for sharing your family trip with us.
Awesome video!!!!! You have to have one of the best jobs in the world. It was also great having the West Coast ( the place I call home) featured in one of your videos. I had the opportunity several years ago to land a float plane up on Widgeon lake. It is truly a magnificent area but with lots and lots of Mosquitos...
Steve, I appreciate why you always put the CFI disclaimer on your videos, but I have learned so much even though you are not technically a CFI. A long time ago, an instructor told me to take every advantage of every flying opportunity, even if it meant paying for gas, because of the learning potential. That advice was huge. Supporting you on Patreon is a cheap way to learn a ton and support a great guy in the process. Everyone. please support Steve! He is doing us all a huge service!
+TunnelRat - I really appreciate this feedback! And definitely also appreciate the support on Patreon! I am just back from an other production trip to San Francisco for some IFR train it in the marine layer fog with Jason Miller. The support provides a budget for these projects and I look forward to sharing those videos!
Hi Steve. great, and I mean GREAT video. I'm from Vancouver originally, and I've been working on my ppl. Great to see your series of left Coast vids. thanks for introducing me to Brads channell.
Steve, you keep out doing yourself. I feel like im watching movies/tv shows now, the production is stellar. Keep up the awesome work, im so stoked to be apart of seeing the growth of this channel, its come a long way since one gopro
This... was... INCREDIBLE. Absolutely great footage. I'm definitely going to check out some of Bradley Friesen's work. And then...it's off to enter this month's contest.
A wonderful video which pulls us right into the action with you all, due to the many high quality cameras. Just superb! - The mountains, trees and lakes are pretty good too... Very similar vertical terrain to our South Island here in New Zealand, except we have dense bush rather than the prolific tall Canadian fur trees!
Looks like someone is going to be taking copter pilot training 4 sure now...what a aircraft if you're into adventure and just going and landing anywhere's...18 years old and had a goal and stuck with it and he's a happy man.
That was a great video, Steve. I really enjoyed that one. I used to live in Bellingham, Washington years ago and would spend a lot of time in B.C. It's beautiful up there.
Best chops video yet, and they’re all great! Both of these guys have the best jobs. There’s nothing that wasn’t cool about this episode: The scenery, the people, the story and the awesome dog. Thanks guys for these videos.
Thanks so much, Steve, for sharing this experience and your beautiful family. I just smiled through the whole video. I can't tell you how happy it made me feel. :-)
Dude, this is awesome. I found and subbed to your channel when I was in school for my commercial helicopter license, and now I'm a CFI/II. Seeing Friesen on your channel is awesome!
Great video Steve! They just keep getting better and better. This one had a much more polished look than usual. Not that any of the previous ones weren't pro level, I just noticed a bump in the overall look and feel of the video. Keep making great aviation content!
I have flown planes since I was a little kid, but there is something special with helicopters. It's like a "teleport device" to get you anywhere your heart desires. Would love to have a house with a yard (for a helicopter obviously), and take it everywhere (instead of a car - why not!) :)
What a great Weed Whacker Flying Video. This young chap can fly the pants off that little Robby and he clearly has the right stuff for bigtime BC rock flying. Thanks for the Great Video Flight Chops
I was born and raised in B.C., and when you see this sort of stuff around you all the time it's easy to forget just how stunningly beautiful it really is. I bought a plane a few weeks ago and flipped a coin between Langley and Pitt Meadows for a tiedown. Langley won. :-)
Wow! I thought this was pretty long, but I was truly disappointed when it was over all too soon. I could have watched this stuff for another hour. I hope more is coming.
Great job, 16 minutes went by too quickly! So cool to actually ride along in a real Helo with someone who knows it so well. I'd love to know where Bentley got his headset - my dog would probably love to fly along too. Also cool to see some footage of my home stompin grounds and even hear a few familiar planes on the wireless while at YPK.
Happy Face! That's what this great vid did to me, what a great flight. Loved it. Amazed about the similarities in energy thinking in mountain flying between this and gliders.
OMG!!! The bucket list item you weren't aware of until it happened! And you even got slapped! What more could you possibly ask for!? Hehehe! Livin the dream, one take off at a time!
Recently came across your channel and I'm enjoying the content and the way you present it: you seem far too humble to be a pilot :^) For anyone who's interested, there's an interesting book that details the history of helicopter flying in BC and how early pilots like Carl Agar overcame the limitations of piston-driven machines in the hot and high conditions of the BC interior. These are the guys who literally wrote the book of mountain flying. I'm sure it's long out of print and I don't recall the author, but the title was "Helicopters: a BC story" I read it as a loaner from the BCIT library at the South Terminal Campus while training as an AME in the early 90s.
Hey Steve, first of all this is absolutely stunning! I always thought there wasn't much of a difference between flying a fixed wing aircraft an a helicopter other than the obvious control differences but this video changes everything! If you have anything planned for September 11th, Brampton Airport is having a Fly-In with some demonstrations of their WW1 replica biplanes. If you are going to be back in town by then, you should check it out on the Brampton Flight Centre website. Just thought I would let you know, I am pretty sure I'm going to be there.
+Nathan Chetram - thanks for letting me know - I am not sure I will be in town then, but if I am, that is definitely something I'd be interested in checking out.
Hey Steve, fantastic video and video quality as usual. Just a suggestion, maybe you should do some videos like you used to, ya know, just some basic VFR flying with Mayron or something simple like that. Idk how that would work with Patreon, but hey, it's what your channel was built on!
+Flightx52 - I am literally sitting here with Jason Miller having a beer after having done a few days of IFR training in Northern California - those videos are coming soon!
the scenery was freaking amazing and love the dog...one of my dogs was in every state on the east coast and went boating with me...but died before I had my pilot certificate
Typical airman: 1 million dollar helicopter and a lousy, worn-out, beaten-up baseball hat. I am sure this cap was in a bear mouth before, and Bradley took it back from the bear and said: still looks OK, I rather spend money on more flying, than a new hat. THUMBS UP.
- Magánpilóta - Private Pilot - Nagy Zoltán not quite a million brand new 44 run a tad over 400k Why need a new hat that one barely broken in and just beginning to get comfy 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome Video! One of my favorites. Glad to see Brock didn't get eaten by a Bear while waiting for you guys!
I know right? Brock actually showed us a fairly impressive pile of bear poop that he found while exploring around "mother nature's helipad" before we got there :P
When are you getting your own FlightChops episode?
Such a cool trip. Awesome work!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
WOOOOWWW!!! Just... WOW !!!! You are a genius man !! Don't know how you do it, but it's amazing how you made me got goose bumps a few times with this incredible edited footage !! Beautiful and lovely family! Congrats and thanks for making this for all of us !!
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much!
This guy was on Smarter Every Day some years ago, wasn't he? I remember the beard and Boba Fett
He was. Also on ProSyndicate's channel. Quite a few of RUclipsrs have had the opportunity to fly with him.
He is on reddit too on /r/flying subreddit.
***** That's #goals one day...
GSOaviator
aviation is awesome, sharing it with the next generation is perfect.
I love your daughters reactions on the flight ,looked like an awesome time to be had in the wilderness.
The view and all is amazing, but the best part is the dog. It's hilarious that he knows when to take his ear-pro off.
This was by far one of the best videos I have seen. The scenery and the montage at the end was very nice! Thank you for all your videos and sharing this experience with us all!
Gotta tell you Steve, this is your best one yet. Amazing views, and it felt like we were right there with you. Thanks for all you do!
Also, Brad just got another follower.
+Robert Thatcher - right on! Thanks for being a long time supporter and inspiring me to keep at it!
I got my CPL(H) at CYXX and saw my schools 44 in the background :). Felt like home seeing it all in the video. Glad you got to have such an epic helicopter experience!
Holy cow, what a great video! You have a lovely family.
+Fabio Secaira - thanks Fabio!
yeah, ur daughter is so funny
My first look at this video FlightChops. Outstanding. Beautiful family.Good health to you all.
+thinebiggest - thanks!
One of the best videos! Incredible scenery. Very charming family and helo pilot and of course little bull dog.
This was very cool to see. My grandfather and I spent many years flying out of YPK(mostly to Chilliwack for you know what). That was a long time ago and this brought back some very fond memories.
I sure miss BC. Would love to go up and do some photography with this gentleman
My God, that place is beautiful and breathtaking... how wonderful it must have been to experience it first hand!
I spend a lot of time on Pitt Lake and Pitt River boating and often see Brad in his helicopter. My first thought is where is he off to now.
That whole area is spectacular to view from the water and thanks to Brads videos I know what the surrounding mountains and lakes look like from above.

This is so cool!! Why arent we all doing this all the time??
Wouldn't you just love a small cabin just beyond that rock, beautiful place and a great video!
great scenery flying in helicopters. beautiful video.
sublime shots; thank you very much for video.
formidables paysages survoler en
hélicoptères. belles vidéo.
sublimes prises de vues; thank you very
much for vidéo.
You and your wonderful family had me smiling all the way through. This time I subscribed and clicked the bell.
Thanks! :)
Man, I was pretty set on getting a fixed-winged GA plane but after watching this I'm kinda thinking a helicopter would be pretty damn sweet too!
Brilliant! Very impressed with this helicopter pilot. What a neat guy! Awesome doggy too. Beautiful family buddy!
RotorChops, I like it. Rotorheads are slowly taking over the world! Love it Steve, see y'all in TC next month.
So Beautiful. Amazing the possibilities available with a helicopter. Brad's lucky to have access to such amazing surroundings.
Wow! I expect a great video every time I see the "1" behind FlightChops, but this one is more than just great. What an awesome scenery! Thanks for sharing your family trip with us.
Keep the valley on your right so the safety margin gets bigger - superb tip thank you !
Great video especially with the family involved. Life long memories.
Cool that you share your passion of flying with your family.
frikin awesome Steve..I don't really like helicopters but I do absolutely adore airplanes...planning to be a commercial pilot
So high on cuteness, *and* scenery, *and* crazy flight - man, it'll be hard to top. Utterly enjoyable!
Awesome video!!!!! You have to have one of the best jobs in the world. It was also great having the West Coast ( the place I call home) featured in one of your videos. I had the opportunity several years ago to land a float plane up on Widgeon lake. It is truly a magnificent area but with lots and lots of Mosquitos...
what a brilliant film ! Amazing to share pleasures of flight with family and friends.
Congrats from Brazil !
Omg I wish I could run into you (of course with safe traffic separation) during my training in Vancouver! I fly out o boundary bay :). Awesome videos
Steve, I appreciate why you always put the CFI disclaimer on your videos, but I have learned so much even though you are not technically a CFI. superb video, love what can be done with a 'chopper'.....................
Fantastic! It took me 2 months to decide if I should spend my budget on IFR or helicopter add-on. Went for IFR, this is definitely next.
This is totally awesome to see. It must be fun ripping up that terrain several times a week.
HOW BEAUTIFULL.....WOW GREAT ARIAL VIEWS THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Looks sane to me and living life, Thanks for the ride along
Big fan of Bradley (and you Steve), awesome video! And cool to see your family enjoys flying so much, always love to see someone smile in an aircraft!
Steve, you keep out doing yourself. I feel like im watching movies/tv shows now, the production is stellar. Keep up the awesome work, im so stoked to be apart of seeing the growth of this channel, its come a long way since one gopro

+Dan Drums - thanks Dan!
wow....wish I had that experience as a kid...still as an old man I'd love it 💕
Chops got slapped round the chops! Couldn't have been by a better guy!!

Thanks! And thank you for all the awesome content you put out
Def one of, if not my favorite video. Love the family outing
Is the beard part of his survival kit? Intimidate your surroundings!
Great video Steve! They just keep getting better and better. This one had a much more polished look than usual. Not that any of the previous ones weren't pro level, I just noticed a bump in the overall look and feel of the video. Keep making great aviation content!
Thank you thank you Mr Flight Chops for sharing this great video of Mr Brad, I also really enjoyed the Coast Guard training vid...
Absolutely stunning film Steve - love the puppy poking between the seats!
Was able to take a flight from Vancouver into the mountains. Helicopters are smothers rides then I expected.
7:54 "Yeah yeah yeah!"
She's so cute!
Fantastic, what a great pilot, I love BC, beautiful video.

I fly out of Chilliwack and yes, the beauty of the mountains and ocean never gets old!
+Laura Halliday - congrats on the new plane Laura! What did you get?
What's Langley like? 🛩️🚁⁉️
Wow. Just wow. Gorgeous and well produced video. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery!
How to make me miss the BC mountains. Nice video, again.
Excellent excellent video and Brad has it all thought out what if the next move a true professional helicopter pilot.
Wow! I thought this was pretty long, but I was truly disappointed when it was over all too soon. I could have watched this stuff for another hour. I hope more is coming.

One of the and your best videos mate, great pilot and great company.
Fantastic. Feels like I was just there. Thanks for doing it.
Only one word : wonderful ! Thanks to all of you ! ;-)
Awesome video! Best easter egg yet.

This is the exact reason why I love rotor over fixed wing :)
Really cool watch and great to see the family have fun.
one of my favorites to date. Thanks for the intro to another exciting channel to follow
Flight chops you are the best and inspire me to fly keep up the awesome work
Fabulous video! Amazing scenery. And there is nothing like a helo pilot slapping a fixed wing pilot around, lol.
Unbelievable gorgeous footage. Of course I subscribed to Brad's channel. You are livin' the life my man.
Great video. Looks like Mrs. Chops and Lil'Chop had a good time too! Great stuff Steve thanks
this guy did worked with smarter every day . talented guy man.

Most Awesome day you had there! Such a great film you made! I shared it. Great watermark logo too very funny. Glad I found this.
One of the most AWESOME videos I've watched. Just awesome. Beautiful Family you have Bro Chops! Mr. Brad, kudos to you Sir!~~John
