I'm so glad it's winter Andy because I've been looking forward to some of your home cooking and that stew looks right up my strassa. I've never seen beef bones and I doubt we'll have them here. Morrisons is miles away and we don't go there very often but when we next do go I will remember to look out for them. In the meantime, I'll look out for an alternative and look forward to your next offering. Thanks for a great video.
Andy so pleased to see you using Hendos, don’t see many Southerners using it- got relatives from Sheffield by any chance?? Great video btw made me want to get some beef bones and have a go myself
Will be making the stew for a xmas grinch party we going to next week keep on with the great videos do you have a homemade lasagne recipe liz thomas.....
Stewpendous! That's how I do my lamb shanks, only, in a slow cooker without the gravy granules and dumplings. It all goes into a massive Yorkshire pud!
No not really as it’s a big pan, my wife’s not a big salt fan she said it was just right, if I would have done it in a normal saucepan or casserole dish would have only put a couple of oxo cubes in it, and not as many gravy granules 👍
I can remember when morrisons used to sell beef bones just for stock..i used to get them for about a pound ...just goes to show how they make money on cheap things ..take lamb shanks ..i remember them at 50 p..couldn't give them away ..its these chefs that have made it expensive
Who doesn't love a stew, and they don't even need to contain meat, like you said you can put anything in to make a stew, but when i ever make one i always use my late Nans brown glazed casserole/stewing pot still with the lid and not a chip on it,which is probably got to be at least 100 years old if not more by now,but when washed up afterwards it goes into a glass cabinet with a picture of her beside it 😊👍
😂😂 my old nan used to make a stew in a massive pot like the one I had and the n whatever was left was put in the wash house outside for a few days then back in a come heat it up and away you go again, never done us any harm 😂😂👍
That looks absolutely gorgeous, I will definitely be doing this . Probably last me all week and get a good soup out it at the end, great with some good crusty bread to soke all the juices up.😊
Hello Andy mate any chance you could do my wife a happy birthday video we both love ya videos her name is Samantha Hubbard she's going to be 31 on the 2nd of December keep up the good work
This one is not for me Andy, far to much fat on those bones, and whole potatoes, I like to cut mine up, I also know it would be much to salty, as I made a big pot of soup yesterday, and only used 2 bullion cubes, plenty salty enough for me.We can’t all enjoy the same, and I am happy you enjoyed, and your subscribers.😊
There's nothing likea stew to have on a cold day very nice iused to make stews years back when my husband was alive he liked dumplings as well his mother used to make things like that she passed away a few years ago a lady you wouldn't mess with 😂😂 that generation..

Just for some people who may not know why it's called a stew, because it tastes better after a day or two later hence the name stew rhymes with two 😋👍

Can't beat home-cooked stew with plenty of dumplings. Looks great, Andy!
I'm guessing those bones are cheaper per kilo than other cuts?
Yeah they can be, sometimes you can get them on a yellow sticker, if you see them worth getting them and put them in the freezer until you are ready 👍
