Peter and Frank are beautiful people. Truly I hope to meet them before they become one with the allspark... truly the franchise wouldn't be the same without them.
In 1984 my parents were in their 30s and I was a 3 year old. Two days ago my dad turned 70 and my mom has been gone 12 years. Thank y'all for the memories I share with my parents, from the toons toys and live-action movies.
I was 6 years old back in 1984, when Transformers debuted into my family television, I was hooked. My favorite was Mr. Peter Cullen’s character Optimus Prime and others, including the action figures. I feel lucky to have experience the 80’s generation.
It’s so funny seeing the cheesy 80s cartoon with optimus and megs hating each others guts. Then cutting to Peter and Frank hanging out and laughing together like your two fun uncles on the porch
I started rewatching Transformers G1 with baby sister recently, because I wanted to show her what I grew up loving and watching. She absolutely loves it so far! Couldn't tear her away from my tv when it was naptime.😅
It's far better than anything modern made. In fact I wouldn't show kids what they make today. They're putting so much garbage to pollute children's mind with.
@ AGREED!! I literally hate the new ‘kids’ shows like Cocomelon or whatever. It’s so overstimulating to babies. That’s why more old cartoons, that are less stimulating and more calm, are so much better. Like Bear in the Big Blue House.
I am 47. I grew up on Transformers. I watched it every time on TV. A new episode came out. I loved it. I still love it. Cannot believe it only lasted 3 1/2 seasons.
Peter Cullen. Hard to understate the impact that man had on me. From Voltron to Transfomers to doing the bumpers for Toonami... my God. Frank Welker, he was everywhere and we were better for it. Also. Lovely Michael Bell reference. Much love for Sideswipe and Raziel.
RIP Casey Kassam,Scatman Crothers,Don Messik,Chris Latta, and Buster Jones. Thank you for your great voicework that helped make the G1 Transformers cartoon so great.
My dad had the entirety of G1, Beast Wars, Armada and Energon on cds so I was lucky to grow up watching a show from his childhood, still love transformers to this day
Frank Welker just sounds like Fred in real life. Although I watched the original cartoons post-Bay films, I can't imagine any other actors to portray Optimus and Megatron. They're the Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill of Transformers.
Watched the original Transformers G1 on tv when i was a kid. Man time flies! I bought all the G1 when it got released on dvd a few years ago. Now I get to relive my childhood all over again!
The most lovely moment is that these two are enemies in the show, but in real life, the absolute truest of friends. This warmed my heart. The love is real.
This was a pure joy to watch. Transformers was EASILY my favorite cartoon as a kid. I'm 46 and I STILL love the Transformers. I will til the day I die.
I briefly met Peter at TFCon 2022 in Chicago. Tickets for his panel and such were sold out, but I saw him in passing. He was leaving the panel room and I called him out for the people to see. He looked me in the eye and said "thank you". I left there happy.
I was also 9 years old when i first saw TF & am still an avid fan! Peter & Frank you have brought much joy to us all! Thank you all gentleman for the wonderful adventures throughout the decades! You are in my heart forever!❤
I could go on and on about how much I love all the voices. The Strong and heroic yet gentle and sometimes cheerful voice of Optimus Prime. The scratchy, brutal, and commanding voice of Megatron, I could not imagine Transformers without all the Iconic voices. Characters like Soundwave, Starscream, Jazz, Percepter, Skylynx, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Grimlock, Shockwave, Wreck-Gar(that Junkeon fight in the 86 movie with Dare to be Stupid playing in the background gives me life), Rumble, and so many more beloved characters, would not be the same without all the wonderful and talented people who have brought them to life. I've even started playing episodes and the movie in the background as I'm working around the house just because I enjoy hearing them all so much. Hope that in the future more people get to make a name for themselves by bringing new voices to this wonderful franchise. I even picked up Beast Wars and have found love with a side of the franchise that I never seen before and had been missing out on because I never gave it a chance. I'm so glad that this year I chose to get back into Transformers after being away for so long. TF ONE is probbably the best introduction for a new fan and I'll probbably still be trying to bug any new friends that want to get into the series to go see it for the forseeable future. Ok I've done enough yapping about the funny toy robots that punch and shoot eachother for today. I gotta go do something else to waste my time on.
Only after the first TRANSFORMERS movie by Michael Bay, back in 2007 when I was 15, did I know this cartoon started it all. The voice acting is easily its strong part, all thanks to both Cullen and Welker, along with the likes of others like John Stephenson, Jack Angel, Corey Burton, among others. Thank you, Hasbro, for the Transformers.
WoW, So many voice actors i remember from my childhood days., Starscream, bubble bee, percettor, jazz, grimlock, ❤Peter and Frank, LEGENDS and heroes of my childhood😃🥰
Their chemistry reminds me of Kevin Conroy's Batman with Mark Hamill's joker. Peter and Frank you both are awesome and I grew up watching the good old '80s and '90s cartoons when I was little. Love you guys
One of my favourite lines of Chris Latta as Starscream when they find a stash of energon cubes "ah this stuff is real fresh" and the "real fresh" part was used in al lot of 80's two songs and scratched.
To hear these voices…. beyond amazing!!!! Peter is an icon with his voice. Like you can’t have Optimus without him lol. When that first movie came out ugh it took me back to when I watched the cartoons in the 80’s.

Greatest animated series ever came out always watched. It came on 3 PM. I believe maybe channel 5 and I still follow it today and reruns and like what Netflix is done with it when they brought it back out the animation is amazing love transformers love Peter Cohen excellent voice of Optimus prime.
thank you to all you guys who voiced my favourite characters over the years. Watching this interview was magical, seeing the love these guys have for making the characters come to life for us is just incredible. Again, thank you guys, love and utmost respect from Northern Ireland
I remember being 11 years old and loving the Transformers cartoon. My mom got me the diecast metal Transformers for my birthday and Christmas that year in 84'. How I wish I still had those valuable toys.
Still today, pancakes, syrup, and me in front of the TV watching these episodes religiously. I hear their voices go into a daze and I am back in my childhood. All these guys are my childhood and I loved every minute of it.
As a kid born in 77, it was amazing when Transformers hit the tv. I actually cried in the movie theater when Optimus died at 9 years old. I have been kind of disappointed with how the live action movies have twisted some of the stories and characters. I would love to see a reboot of the 1986 Transformers: The Movie, completely true to the original, with a little more depth. And most importantly, use all the original voice actors and pay them today's salary. They earned it with the legacy they have left.
Thank you gentlemen, for being a part of my childhood. I didn't have a bad childhood but you guys made my childhood colourful and fun. I am 43 this year. I sure miss those days.
I'm thank all of you for Transformers, I remember the days in the 80s when I got home from school and the first thing, I did was watch the new G1 episode, I have all the original toys, my parents got me all of them.
don't even want to believe that possibility can happen... should that terrible thing happen, we would need to freeze their brains, and everything related to their vocal chords... preserved forever, to be utilized forever, their voices shall never die... don't tell me how freakish that would be - they've got Walt Disney in a cryo chamber under Disney World, so don't tell me that we can't preserve Peter and Frank.. they're irreplaceable treasures.
I met Peter and Frank a couple of years ago at Scotland Comic Con. Honestly such down to earth guys, and the fact Frank recorded a video for my nephew doing the voice of Frddy and Scooby-Doo just made the experience even more incredible!
This was great to see the faces and voices behind the most important cartoon to me back in the 80's. I had almost every Transformer at one point. I sit here at 51 years old, reliving great memories and what seemed like simpler times back then.
This video should have way more than 115k views. This is absolutely amazing. Why didn’t I see this a month ago. Been watching and collecting transformers since I was 8 and seeing these guys doing the cartoon again is a treasure. Love it.
My dad was never with me, searching for the soccer world cup, they never ask for him because he was too violent Now , also with me and my mother. No wonder Peter Cullen is a DAD figure for me! And Frank Welker as well...........THEY teach me more than my stupid father!
Nice! At 45 years old. with a baby in my lap. What piece of art hangs proudly on my wall behind my PC screens. A painting of Optimus Prime by Casey Coller. The G1 cartoon had soul, nothing against the michael bay movies. But The original Animated movie is still the best one. Peter's voice as Optimus, stands to me even decades later of the ultimate character of Integrity. Loyal to his friends and allies, and willing to put his life on the line to save others. While as a kid I didnt realize how many cartoons were created to sell toys, Transformers while there to Push toys had a good story, interesting characters. Starscream was a game of thrones character long before GoT. I could type for hours, but this is one of the few shows from my childhood i Return to with a smile and it still holds up.
Peter is a national treasure
Peter the goat😎💙
one day a guy have re place him with a clost voice to peter optimus one day
International treasure*
This Frank Welker guy seems like he might not be such a slouch either. Maybe if he keeps at it, he'll get a few more roles.
Peter and Frank are the GOAT.
RIP Chris Latta the original Starscream, gone much to soon...
😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I concur i loved his voice in everything he did missed by everyone who grew up with those pipes.
Sometimes I wonder if he was still alive would he have taken the role to reprise Starscream for the Bayverse films like both Peter and Frank.
Nobody could put the scream in Starscream like him.
HE'S DEAD??? 😢
RIP Larry Cullen. I read it on the memory and dedication to him at the end of the Transformers: Prime episode, Partners.

RIP 🙏🏻
To know that Peter and Frank are still the voices of these guys 40 years later is truly a gift
It really is a gift.

Same here. They are right up with mark hamill, George Lucas, and William shatner for me
@jamesreynolds4272 too true. Don't forget Kevin Conroy may he rest easy. We lost bats too soon
@johnfarmer888 We lost a fair few Bats.
@minicle426 true. Which is still tragic. So we must appreciate those who are still here untill it's too late.
