    Spirituality and Distortion has been released on March 27th of 2020, and has been a difficult album to create and to release. This video is showing some footage of the recording process which started the first days of January 2019 and ended up early 2020.
    Since this historical period of pandemic, some things has changed in the band, but we choose to show the real images anyway, how things really were, even though it doesn't always match anymore with the today's reality.
    I hope you will enjoy getting through this documentary and that will help you listening to Spirituality and Distortion with sharper ears.
    Gautier

    I'm 45 years old and I've been listening to metal since I can remember. I make music and have done some recordings in studios, so I might judge your work differently. But what you offer in your songs is hard to describe. I've heard something like this really seldom, if I can't even say it's unique so far. I love every single song, enjoy every detail and you leave me speechless day after day. What you make possible when you live out and implement ideas, no matter how complex they may be. you are so wonderful I am very happy to have found you. Sadly right now. Keep up the great work! I admire you. Greetings from Germany!

      I’m 49 and only just discovered the band 2 days ago. I used to keep up with all the latest bands via magazines. I was an encyclopaedia on heavy music because of all the metal magazines I read back in the 80s and 90s. I was so up to date with whatever was new in metal. These days, I can’t keep up and only just discovered these guys. I’m sure if I was still reading all those metal magazines, I would have heard about them. Unfortunately, the RUclips algorithm only just allowed me to come across these guys. Times have changed but it’s great to see such a unique sound brought to the extreme genre of music. Just when we thought original couldn’t be possible in the world anymore, along comes Igorrr with their unique blend of extreme music. AUGUST 2024

    Absolutely loved that video!
    There's one thing I hated thought... I've been listening to Igorrr for 10 years now and Laure Le Prunenec has been an major part of the project since almost the beginning. I get that she left and that might have been painful, but the way you described her in that video is sad. You only mentioned only that she was a major pain in the ass to work with and there was absolutely no positive mention about the incredible emotional impact she had with her voice in that album.
    The only fair thing to do in my opinion would be to remove that part from the documentary, it adds absolutely nothing except hurting her and her career.
    After being a fan for so long, I was saddened when I heard that she left but was mostly fine with it since her replacement has a beautiful voice, but yeah, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth after that otherwise beautiful documentary

      100% agree. like she's so prominently featured in this very video! there are so many awesome scenes that are elevated by her singing and the album turned out amazing (despite all the hurdles) this just isn't the place to attack her out of frustration or whatever.

    • @ethanharte4175

      Agreed. I don't know why she was so hard to work with, but he needs to let this go instead of slandering her in this video like he did. I was shocked when I heard him say that. I hope he removes it or edits it to say something nice.
      Honestly I am glad that she left. I prefer her solo work more than her work with Igorrr. Not that Igorrr is not good (love his music). But her voice sounds so much better when it is the focus of the music.

      I jumped to the comments after seeing that part. I didn't know she had left. I thought that was some dead pan humour and he was saying all that with her behind the camera and he was going to get something thrown at him. Odd that it wasn't a joke. Harsh.

      @@ethanharte4175 I'm kind of the opposite, I like what she did with Corpo Mente but I much prefer (by a large margin) when she sings within Igorrr. I'm also extremely sad to hear that she has left (to be honest I'm not sure Igorrr can be the same without her, at least not the Igorrr from Hallelujah and Spirituality&Distortion) and I also think that this was a false note in this otherwise great video (and I also came to the comments because of this).

      I would not call it lie just speaking about music and not about relations between musicians. Without any chance of reply, he sentenced his words on her. I do not want to judge what happened between them but it looked, at least, unfair, to blame her for something she cannot reply. That's too easy in this way. And also a kind of childish too.

    Here's a different perspective on Gautier's statement on Laure:
    At the end of the day, Gautier is the composer and the director. Everyone and everything is an instrument for his musical vision.
    As much Laure allowed Gautier's music to sound so amazing, it was Gautier's composition that allowed Laure to sound so beautiful.
    But if the instrument is too hard to use, a director must consider other alternatives.
    I do think that the way he talked about Laure in the video is borderline rude, but what we can't see is the struggle between Gautier and Laure.
    So let's not judge either side and enjoy what they both create in the future.
    But I think they need each other.
    Let's see what happens

    • @timmt2884
      @timmt2884 2 года назад +1

      I agree with this entirely.
      From my perspective, Gautier also seems like a bit of an eccentric genius. He feels like the kind of person who really puts his craft and vision above everything, and it isn't hard for me to imagine him holding a grudge if someone was messing with process in a significant way.
      Was this rude? Maybe. It could also have been a significant understatement from his perspective.

    • @maxmustsleep
      @maxmustsleep 2 года назад

      yeah i kinda agree! it was pretty shocking to hear but apparently they are going different ways now :/
      i guess they are perfectionists and artists which will always cause conflict

    • @adrianstruta5565
      @adrianstruta5565 2 года назад +1

      @@maxmustsleep Yeah, I get that. But I feel like there was some resentment there(or maybe there isn't, that's just the vibe) and that's between them. Being that the documentary is about the music, there was space for more positive commentary on his part. Well, anyway, I still love this band and will continue to follow it. Who knows, maybe she'll come back for a Corpo Mente album in the future.

    • @alexandrosliarokapis227
      @alexandrosliarokapis227 2 года назад

      @@adrianstruta5565 I think the vibe is just due to the editing. Hey the video even closes with a close up of Laure singing.

    • @maxmustsleep
      @maxmustsleep 2 года назад +1

      @@adrianstruta5565 yeah it felt like that to me too :/ really odd after showing off her amazing skills throughout the video so prominently. I guess there is much more behind the scenes that we can't understand but it definitely was out of line imo

    • @maxmustsleep
      @maxmustsleep 2 года назад +1

      @@alexandrosliarokapis227 yeah that's what's making it so weird! she's featured so prominently throughout the entire video and she's been an important band member for the past years. I don't get why can't praise her as much as the others for her work and then mention a "however we had our differences and are parting ways" or something. "nice" just doesn't cut it no matter the circumstances imo.
