Absolutely fantastic documentary, thanks for putting it together. Still heartbroken to see Laure leave, she is one of my favourite vocalists across all genres.
The part about Laure was respectful. He spoke how he wanted and conveyed reality. Also this recording happened during lockdown and a whole bunch of things in life happen. As a music listener its easy to have a fantasy in your head about music from how it inspired you. She sang her heart out, she needed a break, even if she goes on to sing familiar music. She even gave the band and Gautier an appreciation post. Just because someone leaves a band, who was singing operatic voicings, with a person who's determined to produce a fine record, doesnt mean they'll be together forever. If anything its a spark that happens very rarely that can be held as a flame for very long, Gautier music is firing on all cylinders, some people aren't built to do extreme experimental music for long. Its an experiment and Gautier is producing this together with musicians he pieces together, his job is vastly different and complex in other ways than the musicians, in the same vein they have vastly different and complex jobs in the album than Gautier

Absolutely loved that video! There's one thing I hated thought... I've been listening to Igorrr for 10 years now and Laure Le Prunenec has been an major part of the project since almost the beginning. I get that she left and that might have been painful, but the way you described her in that video is sad. You only mentioned only that she was a major pain in the ass to work with and there was absolutely no positive mention about the incredible emotional impact she had with her voice in that album. The only fair thing to do in my opinion would be to remove that part from the documentary, it adds absolutely nothing except hurting her and her career. After being a fan for so long, I was saddened when I heard that she left but was mostly fine with it since her replacement has a beautiful voice, but yeah, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth after that otherwise beautiful documentary
100% agree. like she's so prominently featured in this very video! there are so many awesome scenes that are elevated by her singing and the album turned out amazing (despite all the hurdles) this just isn't the place to attack her out of frustration or whatever.
Agreed. I don't know why she was so hard to work with, but he needs to let this go instead of slandering her in this video like he did. I was shocked when I heard him say that. I hope he removes it or edits it to say something nice. Honestly I am glad that she left. I prefer her solo work more than her work with Igorrr. Not that Igorrr is not good (love his music). But her voice sounds so much better when it is the focus of the music.

Your attention to detail and love for er... unusual solutions to get the crazy sounds you want is so inspiring and it what makes this project so great. I'm gonna miss Laure though, she's simply hypnotising in each and every performance.
That clip of Laure from 37:12, I would love to see more like that! Weirdly, never been a fan of operatic singing but obviously there's something different about hers and I feel like her voice portrays emotions so well!
The situation with Laure Le Prunenec has truly strengthen the meaning of distortion. Everyone could have lied yet he decides to say how he felt about working with her on the album. Judging people you dont know has become such a norm.
And everyone in the comments saying it's so sad that he would say something like that but we don't know what happened between them that caused her to exit the band, so who are we to judge.
I would not call it lie just speaking about music and not about relations between musicians. Without any chance of reply, he sentenced his words on her. I do not want to judge what happened between them but it looked, at least, unfair, to blame her for something she cannot reply. That's too easy in this way. And also a kind of childish too.
@@MN-cc9go good point but is it really a negative feedback ? it just sounds like that she has a strong character and likes things her way, its not necessarily a bad thing, i would even assume its the reason why she is so good at what she does. The end of the video also includes a clip of her singing, if anything i think Gautier has respect for her.
Thank you for this, your "making of" videos always been extremely inspirational, they just make you go and try new ways of making music. Spirituality and distortion is an incredible album.
I’ve easily listened to this album 30+ times, enjoying more each time I notice additional detail. It is amazing to see the behind the scenes on how it was made!
Thank you for this! Got a 2 hour break at work and I couldn't think of any better way to spend it than with this gem right here! Thank you so much for the massive inspiration you are to me and thousands of other musicians around the world. I love every second of your music. It was a huge experience to see you at Brutal Assault 2021. You sounded so monumentally/loud/clean, simply perfect. Aphrodite was great on stage but it is such a pity that Laure is not with you anymore. Greetings from Poland. Hope to see you in 2022.
I was honestly shocked to hear that just now! I didn't know they had so many issues, are they broken up for sure? or is she taking a break? i think Laure's voice is absolutely outstanding it gives all of their music so much character and such a special note that elevates their work beyond many other bands. It really saddens me to read this just now after hearing there were troubles during the recording when watching the video...

What a great day to wake up and find this fresh upload! I absolutely LOVE this album!!! I listen to it so much and it never gets old, Himalaya Massive Ritual is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, thank you for all of the hard and creative work Igorrr
Truely incredible! I have been eagerly waiting for this video to come out! I must have listened to the album from beginning to end at least sixty times (no exaggeration) with high quality listening equipment; and only just now have I learned of details within it which I have either misunderstood or totally missed all together. I love how brutal yet delicate Igorrr can be and how beautifully grotesque their content is. The passion, the detail, the pain in pursuit of perfection...it is inspiring to say the least. I am so glad there are musical geniuses like you around Gautier. It makes music so much more interesting.
Laure is no doubt the highlight artist of this album, she deserves a lot more credit than that. I don't know why Gautier didn't bother talking about her as much as the others, and most of what he said sounded negative too.
Also Laurent Lunoir was only mentioned 3rd last name in the credits. He was kicked out of the band due to anti-vaxx stuff and not getting himself vaccinated -> prevented touring.
I think this is an example of the unfortunate reality of a working/session musician: It doesn't matter how talented you are, if you're difficult to work with, you don't work.
Stunning, the Level of Detail, musicianship, breadth of recording techniques and skill from everyone involved is just stunning. Gautier is just a genius. I'm so going to miss Laure's involvement with Igorrr, her voice and performances are some of the best I've ever heard and her presence is just all consuming.
Pure inspiration! Great musical work in every breath! Thank you for that! Greetings from germany! I hope i can see you guys live in the future! Thank you
I have to say I admire Igorr. If you didnt know they were an unorthodox metal band they could easily pass as classical composers trying to capture the right sounds. They also have a great sense of humor.
When I first listened to this album I was blown away; a beautiful piece of electronic work, I thought... How little I knew. Now my mind has been smashed by a slice of lemon wrapped round a gold brick... Pure art; a masterpiece.
A bit sad about Laurent only being mentioned in the credits under special thanks, would have liked to see him do his thing. And that I won't be able to see you perform live with Laure and Laurent. However, great documentary to an incredible album! Seemed painful to talk about Laure, with words chosen very carefully. I hope that this doesn't mark the end for the other collaborations and that you're still on good terms. Very excited to see what the two new singers and the new guitarist will bring to your next work. All the best to you and everyone involved in this and in future endeavours.

Waited SO MUCH for this! Massive thanks for putting all this together! Such beautiful and complex music rightfully deserves a wonderful "making of"! ❤️ Hope videos like these will encourage more people to experiment with music and appreciate old music as much as new!
great video, between all the creative, amazing work and fantastic musicians you worked with it also shines a little light on the exhaustion such a project and long process brings upon (foremostly)you and your fellows. that enduring hunt for perfection in details, i highly respect that in your work of art. Igorrr to me is clearly more a masterpiece of art than just any band i know. Thats why in my vinyl storage you are neighbours with J.S.Bach ;) thanks a lot for your work. Hope you take your time to refill the batteries. See you in Berlin next year!
Gautier, very big thank you for sharing your insights here! Much appreciated and hopefully will be able to see you life again very soon! P.S. Wanted to add some comment on how I wish you were to turn back more to baroque, but refrained from it - whatever you find inspiring right now and here, we'll adapt.
The whole album is a work of art. I love it. Spirituality and Distortion is one of the best albums I've ever heard. The unfinished cadence at the end of the album is very very mean, though! When Parpaing came out, I pretty much had it on repeat in my car every day until the album came out. Cannot wait to see you on tour! Well, I can wait, and I have done! No ticket refunds for me.
I'm still fucking glad you decided to stay at the studio alone that day because that riff is Igorrr in my head and I've been with you since the beginning, I used to play you vinyl tracks in my dnb sets years ago but that riff is so sick because it just shouldn't work but, because of that, it's almost too good 😆
Spotify told me that this was my most listened to album in 2022. So was great to learn a bit more about it. Definitely one of my favourite albums I have listened to.

duude when i thought i couldn't love the album any more this elevates every track! stunning work on both the album and the making of!! Edit: It really shocks me how bad laure is depicted here. I understand that you had differences and you parted ways but after all the outstanding work she's done over the past few years really coining the vocal sound of your projects and even this very video(!) I think she deserves some respect. till this point the video was just perfect but that was shitty. That being said i wish you and her all the best on your further development and i'll be nervously watching how you plan to replace her and hope for future collaboration when or if you're ready to patch things up.
I whole heartedly agree with you about Laure. She deserves respect, that came off compeletely unprofessional and she's done a part in Igorr where music becomes art, without her vocals, that's not it.
sorry but how has how he talked in any way mean spirited? he says she always was difficult to work with but she her vocals were excellent and that hes glad the recording process is done.

So amazing, brutal, and insanely beautiful. Thanks for the peek inside the genius of this incredible album
The end of the video also includes a clip of her singing, if anything i think Gautier has respect for her.
can anyone provide context on this?
Thank you for this, your "making of" videos always been extremely inspirational, they just make you go and try new ways of making music. Spirituality and distortion is an incredible album.
I’ve easily listened to this album 30+ times, enjoying more each time I notice additional detail. It is amazing to see the behind the scenes on how it was made!
Absolutely amazed about this fucking masterpiece. You make me believe that still there's unexplored territories in music...so glad i found you!
i've been following this project for 6 years now, i really hope to watch you guys live someday, greetings from Brasil
Thank you for this!
Got a 2 hour break at work and I couldn't think of any better way to spend it than with this gem right here!
Thank you so much for the massive inspiration you are to me and thousands of other musicians around the world. You've taken away a huge amount of my fear about my music being 'wrong' and replaced it with the confidence to just make what I want and what I'd like to be listening to.
Merci pour tout ce que vous faites,
Avec amour et appréciation du monde x
@@maxmustsleep Laure wants to spend more time with her family, thats why they parted. You can check it at the facebook page of Igorrr where he explains is more clear.
What a great day to wake up and find this fresh upload! I absolutely LOVE this album!!! I listen to it so much and it never gets old, Himalaya Massive Ritual is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, thank you for all of the hard and creative work Igorrr
One of the best album ever made. Merci!
If I'm correct from what I read on their last live video, in fact, the band has changed singers since so... Yeah, something must have happened xD
Maybe she is a b***h to work with, or he was just joking (aren't the a pair?)
Also Laurent Lunoir was only mentioned 3rd last name in the credits. He was kicked out of the band due to anti-vaxx stuff and not getting himself vaccinated -> prevented touring.
@@stokstoks86 Just looked it up, I had no idea. That's really, really sad that they're not part of Igorrr anymore.
Thank you
Would have loved to see some recording of the Kung Fu Chevre sessions.
Love this band
fucking genius :)
What's not to love ? Creative, twisted, beautifully executed, fun, French...
Have you not seen the documentary on the album before this one? If not watch it too. It's longer and more in depth than this.
насколько понимаю, это был первый альбом без сэмплов
@@reimacduwell3333 I don't think so, maybe outside samples but that's what Igorrr is, a sampling machine. He turns all of those recordings into samples and he's basically Mozart at it!!!!
I'm enjoying this documentary so far and was waiting for it since you announced it. Very fucking cool and I can't wait to see you all in NYC next year! I'll definitely be there.
I love so much the concept of igorrr, the deep and the dark of her music. is basicly incredible
I'm so thankful for this album, I'd lost so much in music that I felt like there was very little interesting left to hear and during one of the hardest years I've ever endured mentally this album quite possibly saved my life. I'd love to get it on CD or Vinyl or whatever it comes in.
Thank you all for your dedication, this has been a transformative approach to artisanship. A truly timeless music record.
What a beast
what, our favourite skyrim content channel, here too? lmao
@@magnuskiechle1860 he used to put some fragments of Igorrr on his intros
Time to get on the Dance floor for you
Really love the behind the scenes of it all. Seeing you in Dallas, TX right now. Love you guys!! I discovered you during the pandemic & your music helped me in a lot of ways. Come back to the US some day!!
c'est de l'orfèvrerie... ravi de vous voir pour la première fois à Limoges en cette fin d'année.
Waited SO MUCH for this! Massive thanks for putting all this together! Such beautiful and complex music rightfully deserves a wonderful "making of"! ❤️ Hope videos like these will encourage more people to experiment with music and appreciate old music as much as new!
Absolutley amazing. The world needs more Igorrr!!!!
Thank you! Thank you for the album, and thank you for this making of! Always a pleasure to see and hear "how it's done".
Congratulations!
You all have beautiful minds for sure. And how highly you talk about your peers and friends is inspiring in itself. Much
apart from laure apparently :( who has been a major part of their success since the early days.
Please, more live shots from recording sessions. It's very interesting. Especially with raw sound.
Can Helen Jump on the harpsichord! Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this behind the scenes glimpse at how you make your music.
Восхитительно. Наслаждение созерцать таинство творчества и заигрывающей серьёзности профи своего дела. ₽атую.)
oh another making of amazing video, was so happy to see it in my feed!
Incredible music! I've been hoping for something like this.
great video, between all the creative, amazing work and fantastic musicians you worked with it also shines a little light on the exhaustion such a project and long process brings upon (foremostly)you and your fellows. that enduring hunt for perfection in details, i highly respect that in your work of art. Igorrr to me is clearly more a masterpiece of art than just any band i know. Thats why in my vinyl storage you are neighbours with J.S.Bach ;) thanks a lot for your work. Hope you take your time to refill the batteries. See you in Berlin next year!
amazing! Can't wait to see Igorrr In San Diego 2022!
You’re incredible and everybody involved is incredible.
Laure à la fin.... Magistralement magnifique.
This record is a master piece, I love it so much. Gautier is a genius and definitely a mad scientist
Finally! I have been waiting for this. I love Igorrr with all my heart
I'm so glad one day i discovered Igorrr. Stay awesome!
I'm still fucking glad you decided to stay at the studio alone that day because that riff is Igorrr in my head and I've been with you since the beginning, I used to play you vinyl tracks in my dnb sets years ago but that riff is so sick because it just shouldn't work but, because of that, it's almost too good 😆
Seeing this, blew my mind all over again and again at each new topic. This album is trully an extraordinary work of art!
Spotify told me that this was my most listened to album in 2022. So was great to learn a bit more about it. Definitely one of my favourite albums I have listened to.
Laurent Lunoir also did an incredible job here. A great documentary, merci!
OMG .... love this band so much .... thanks for putting out the making of ... I get to find even more elements that I used to know from listening to the album!
Former sound engineer here. Love your "making of" videos. And your compositions are fucking genius.
This documentary really makes it clear why the music sounds as amazing as it does. Very well done.
This music is absolute sonic perfection! Seeing it created is a spiritual experience. Thank you for making this video!
Listened the album at work today and now suddenly there is the making of... Thank you for the great music. Merci beaucoup.
I love this album SO MUCH GUYS! I'm waiting for the Prague concert to see you live!
Amazing and phenomenal! Thank you very much!
Nice document video. I'm looking forward to see you again for live performance. I had chance only two times till now on Brutal assault festival and both shows were great..
duude when i thought i couldn't love the album any more this elevates every track!
stunning work on both the album and the making of!!
Edit:
It really shocks me how bad laure is depicted here.
But She killed Patrick :(
sorry but how has how he talked in any way mean spirited? he says she always was difficult to work with but she her vocals were excellent and that hes glad the recording process is done.
Not ro mention the final shot of her in black and white, really feels like a subtle way of announcing she isn't coming back.
@@amusia1469 what!? How!? :( Poor patrick :'(
I heard this album all the year of 2020 and I still listen to this beautifull master piece. The best thing I heard in a long time. Thanks
Guys, it is pure pleasure to listen the album. Watching Your passion during the recording makes it even more pure.
Thanks for experimenting so well with sounds...your immagination is absolutely amazing!!
Heard you guys first time and man these were the best 38:36 minutes of my life. ☯
Thank you so much for your work. The last 5 years Igorrr and other related projects are in top of my playlist. I can't find anything with a such good genres mix. Wish you the best. ❤
Love your music!! This documentary really provides an insight of how much hardwork and creativity goes into making songs!
