    Perfect! I've been trying to learn this, so very helpful video!
    On my first attempt i got the round brush stuck in my hair. Had to spend like 30 minutes detangling a one inch section lol. So my tip for people who don't do this often is to make sure your brush is pretty clean, remove all of those stray hairs. once I did that it didn't get caught in my hair nearly as easily.

    I'm so excited about this video. I never dry my hair because when I try I usually sit there for an hour working on it and walk away with it still looking incredibly damp. I'm old enough it's embarrassing to admit that I don't know what I'm doing.

    • @Caitlinm007
      @Caitlinm007 4 года назад +4

      Update: I cannot thank Kayley enough for making this video! My husband bought me a round brush this morning so I could try this. Two months ago I spent an hour and a half trying to dry and straighten my hair for our anniversary and went to dinner with it still damp. Today I spent 30 minutes on just drying it and it looks better than it did that night. For the first time in my 31 years I feel like my hair can actually be manageable.

    As a student in beauty school, don't worry if you suck at blow drying right now. Blow outs take time to learn. Besides finger waves, blow outs were one of the things that everyone in my class struggled with.

    I just fully dried my hair with a nozzle thingy on the end of my dryer for the first time ever and I can’t believe how smooth my hair is! My dryer is really strong and I usually hate using it because of how tangled my hair gets. I didn’t use a round brush I just used my fingers because I was planning to straighten my hair in the morning before I go to work but I don’t even think I’ll need to do this!!

    I loved this video Kayley! Such great tips and tricks. I've been doing blow outs on myself for years (perks of a hairdresser best friend teaching you all of the things + a shit ton of practice!) I wanted to remind everyone it takes A LOT OF PRACTICE. Do not get discouraged, heat can fix anything when you're running out the door until you master this technique. Or just leave it since we are all stuck inside anyhow. Ha! I did like the twist technique and I will be trying that next time! Love it! ❤️

    That was so helpful! I can’t believe the only thing I was doing wrong was forgetting to “spin” the round brush. Sheesh. Wish someone had told me that a million years ago. I just went back to the bathroom and finished my damp hair, and it’s not frizzy! Miraculous! I always wondered how hair stylists make my thick bushy blonde hair so “thin and straight.”

    I want to start off by thanking my fiancee, mum, brother, and some of my closest friends for supporting me emotionally during this time. I didnt cope when I was told to completely shield for 12 weeks due to ulcerative colitis medication.
    I work for the NHS in an outpatient department and have a background working as a healthcare assistant so I thought ok once my department closes I will volunteer to redeploy and help out on a ward, ICU or a&e. I then recieved a text (11in total) and a letter (4 in total) telling me I'm at a high risk of becoming seriously ill from covid-19 and must remain in my house for the next 12 weeks, no exercise, no food shop, no work just house or garden if I can stay 2 meters away from my neighbours. I felt as if I had let everyone down because I could be helping if it wasn't for some stupid medication. My friends and family have helped me so much to get past those feelings and try to help in otherways. So I am working from home calling my patients to see how they are getting on.
    Secondly, I have the dyson air wrap and very fine hair but lots of it. It's also very curly/wavy (natural ringlets and waves all at once). I can get the volume done easy with the paddle type attachments but it just becomes a giant fluffy pile on my head and cant get it smooth and straight. Any tips?
    Finally loving your videos. Just learned how to dutch braid using your star trek trick. Never managed before I saw your video on that.

    I really enjoyed your video. Explains why I have been using these techniques to do my hair, without knowing why they worked. I wish I had seen this video before buying the Laifen. There are some things that I like more about the Laiffen like the different colored light on the back of the barrel indicating the temperature. What I don't like about the Laifen is that there are only 2 speeds. I probably should have gotten the Dyson for the lowest speed for styling purposes. I have short, thick, but fine hair, so it can be easily blown away while blow drying. Funny you mentioned this wrt to your Dyson abd they directed you to use the concentrator. I gound that the smaller the opening, the higher the velocity the air comes out. That is, the same amount of air is coming out of a smaller opening so it seems to come out faster. For the Laifen, I had to change from the concentratir to the smoother attachment which looks like the concentrator, but a slightly wider opening.
    If you ever do a comparison of the Laifen to the Dyson, I would love to hear your viewpoint and see your styling demo. I am contemplating buying the Dyson now, sigh.

      LOL This channel used to be nuthin' but braiding your own hair in every possible way! That's why she calls it the Braidaholic Family. Welcome! Go to her playlists and look for the Braid Encyclopedia.

    I would love a video to create extra volume on the roots and products that do don’t weight the roots down
