How to create vignette effect in photoshop cs5 (vignette photoshop tutorial)

This Photoshop tutorial teaches you two methods to do vignette in Photoshop. One is white vignette effect and black vignette effect in Photoshop. Both the methods are less time consuming and difficulty level is easy.

There is something missing here - after you do Gaussian blur, the cursor goes up to "Layer" but a split second later it's in "Image" and then "adjustments" - I think you're missing a step about creating a new layer? Helena

Hey thanks it really looks like a great tutorial but I just couldn't follow it all, especially the first part, the black vignette there's definitely a step missing after the Gaussian blur, it's exactly as CacaMilis Cabaret - Helena says (below) - I'm disappointed as it's exactly what I want to do, with that missing step it just doesn't work sorry. Thanks though.

hello! these steps worked great for us, except once we are finished, the vignette has a bluish ring near the inside edges of the oval. I tried different Gaughan blur levels, even went all the way to 200. it was softer but still has bluish ring.
do you know how we can fix it?
