Another GREAT video ..... I has purchased a $170 scan tool and you are CORRECT, as it is very "basic" ... I think i will buy this one , as I am sure with 4 different vehicles (presently), it should pay foe itself, quickly "Thanks" for posting this one . 👌👍 Rick
You got that right. I recently bought a used Toyota that only had one key fob. I bought a generic fob from Amazon and programmed it using the Launch. Saved a couple hundred dollars by avoiding the dealership.
I don't know all of the specifics by vehicle. Go to their website and use the 'contact us' option. www.launchx431online.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwveK4BhD4ARIsAKy6pMLev36oWN9odmKX5q58_6GINxmQoVH-7qZ_SaYgvsuT2MVoUyYiPxkaAk2aEALw_wcB
If you're talking about programming it to match the VIN after a replacement I don't think so. It will do TCM resets on some makes but will not get a new transmission to work on a GM or other VIN matched transmissions.
I can not get mine to update correctly. It keeps saying the file is missing or damaged and to delete and download again. Every time it does the same thing...
Check the software time period and renewal costs. Launch has been around a while so I don't think you'll end up with a 'dead' scanner like might happen to smaller companies.

Great down to earth review, much appreciated

Is this scan tools has ability to do acc calibration and reset the angel of front radar?
Sorry, I do not know. It may but none of my cars have those features.
You could buy 3 of this for the price of the base snap on scanner an hold its own compared to the upper models
Thanks for the video I have one question how to use toolbox features on the scanner
You have to be connected to WiFi to use most of them.
Can this model do a ECM / injectors reset on a Mercedes W205?

Wish you could send a link to the update software file.
Can you change the language for the navigation panel for various vehicles using it?
I believe so but it would be application wide, not vehicle specific.
Can this be use to reprogram transmission

Have you tried contacting their customer support?
@@HouseDoctorRay it was the overseas one. I returned it.
There are many versions of this, which one to buy is super confusing.

@ thank you!
What would you recommend for a code reader under $100 . . Any recommendations would be appreciated . . Thank you
This obviously won't have the same functionality but will help you with basic troubleshooting.

Come on man…less than $100?…..It is your car for God’s sake….invest some money and get something decent.
There is a scanner (attachment) called Delphi - does same bi-direction and has same functionality I'd say🤷♂️
GOOD VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING THAT INFORMATION VERY USEFUL BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TOPOLOGY MAPPING AND BIDIRECTIONAL CONTROL 😊
It does not have Topology but it does have bi-directional. I believe the whole line of X431 have bi-directional functionality.
Really? I hope you do know what bidirectional means.
Anything is better than SnapOn because it is ripoff.
Launch wasted there time ... Poor product review . Biggest selling point of these are the special functions options .
😢
So what makes it better than the Snap-On scanner you did not list any specifics that proves it's better than a Snap-On scanner
The price point and comparable features
You have to get a second mortgage to buy a nice Snap-On.
