Love falling asleep to the lull of a British accent. No idea what most of this means…but it’s just so soothing to listen to. Thank you for a second video!
It had been a few years. I listen most nights and notice the style of reading slowing change, even over just a few years I feel they read much quicker than they used to. So I thought a second video would be good. It was also covering a period when a storm occurred so again slightly different to the first video.
If this is asmr to you, you probably need to move. You will know why you left soon enough. Just book a return flight with adjustable flight date back. Within a year you yearn back for Canada
This video is definitely Severe Gale 9 or Storm 10, moderate or good, occasionally poor later 😂. It’s very calming and therapeutic though, thanks so much for uploading, great to listen to when trying to unwind heading to / when struggling to sleep 😴
He's got a very rich, deep baritone voice hasn't he! I've never heard him before as I used to fall asleep to the Shipping Forecast as a child at my granny's in the late 70's. I think that was before Neil read them.
3:05:13 One of the announcers (Marie Dublin?) taps their nails or clicks a pen or something to keep their rhythm, but now I can’t avoid hearing it instead of their lovely voice, and it’s damn hard to fall asleep. 1w probs I know.
Southwold. A small seaside village on the Suffolk coast in England. (East coast). 4 hours into the video it changes to a lighthouse, which is also in the same village.
Sodden drizzle, soaking one to the spiritual core, and removing all hope of any sort of salvation, moving in slowly overnight, and becoming relatively persistent by early morning, remaining consequentially intact, until your merciful death later that day....
“Good, occasionally poor” describes many things lately. Thanks for sharing this soothing report.
:)
I can't imagine yesterday's shipping forecast for metro New York.
Moderate to very poor
Visibility ❤

Squalish and wintry across the Irish Sea... I should start listening to this at work. Good for the blood pressure.
Sth London expat living in Canada for 7 yrs now,you can't believe how soothing for the soul this is so thank you for this :0]

Thank you brother. Feels like another kind of brotherhood. Good night my man
I read about this as a means to go to sleep in The New York Times Magazine. Thank you.
Welcome :)
Deeply appreciated 😊. Listening at 2 AM in the cold Argentinean winter
Yes Alessandro .....but you have

Listening at 11pm in Barcelona Spain, dreaming of sailing in Argentina
Hope you know you made my insomnia fuelled long nights much better friend! Cheers
Glad to have helped :)

:) thank you very much. Comments mean a lot to me and I'm happy you are happy.
Neil is the king of the shipping forecast voices !! 😊
Born to forecast
I love to be dressed for listening to these treasures - wearing my improvised pyjama top of long-sleeved t-shirt with the area names. Thank you!
1:04:27 - This guy’s voice send me to sleep so easily. Thanks for uploading. My sleep deprived self is very appreciative.
Good God what a voice that is!!!

This dutch dude thanks you alot. Keep it coming
Listening in Melbourne, Australia.
August 2023.
Ex pat missing the soporific tones..
:)
Would be even better if you had Ronald Binge's Sailing By before the start of the actual forecast. Still loving it.
Love Neil sends me off every single time
The shipping forecast sounds the way spacing out in class sounds
Someone please mix this with some lofi for us.
you should check out the song "Pharaohs" by Tears for Fears
Thank you so much. ❤
1:59:28 Neil Nunes !!!
Slow it down for sleepy perfection!! ❤
Thank you from millions of insomniacs of a certain age....we can finally get to sleep😴😴😴
Thank you :)
Rising slowly. Rockall...falling ...
Woke up and found this as my last search. Got very drunk after I broke off a relationship with someone, clearly this is where drunk me wanted to be.
I hope it helped :)
Viking gales and feral germans. What a story
Fun Fact: Thomas Dolby's 1982 hit song "Wind Power" features samples of the UK Shipping Forecast 🙂
@LPM147 An underrated artist.
You have a beautiful voice! 🫶
That's definitely not me :) But a collection of BBC Radio 4 announcers. Their names are probably in the video description.
@@freenameLol if only....😂😂

No, it annoys me too! I think it's the way they speak. I have a colleague who also somehow clicks when speaking.
It really makes me feel icky.
I love an automatic light vessel
I wish that you could make a 2023 version of this
Have you learned the two previous ones off by heart?
@@freename yes I have
Don't know who you are or why you did this but thankyou
I did it because at the time I would fall asleep to the forecast live on the radio
“Occasional TWIZZLE” 1:12:58
@Vic Saul there is another
Where is that row of houses located?
Southwold. A small seaside village on the Suffolk coast in England. (East coast).
4 hours into the video it changes to a lighthouse, which is also in the same village.
Probably cost £ 200 Grand each !
For a beach hut ! ?!
@@2msvalkyrie529 Yep! Seems like one has recently been in the news for £250,000
Which of these regions would be Hull/Humber river?
The one called Humber :) Should be after Tyne and Dogger.
@@freename Yup... just like my girlfriend keeps telling me, I gotta "up" my listening skills. Thank you!
That this is a subthread is absolutely delightful.
Sodden drizzle, soaking one to the spiritual core, and removing all hope of any sort of salvation, moving in slowly overnight, and becoming relatively persistent by early morning, remaining consequentially intact, until your merciful death later that day....
Tomorrow will be bright and sunny for your funeral and subsequent burial, alleviating the need for any attendants to don waterproof attire....
😂😂😂😂😂
Plus possible silly automatic, then losing identity...🤔
This would sound better if it was done with a multiple accents and voices
1:04:18 Is this a real person's voice? Creepy
Yep, I suspect it's Viji Alles or Neil Nunes. They should say their name at the end of the forecast if you listen to the end of that segment.
@freename wow thanks! I'll listen again. On the first time it sounded like some kind of artificial voice 😅
5 hours the acid dont last that long tbh
Having a flashback ?!?
Nite
Love falling asleep to these, is that pic of Southwold on the Suffolk coast?
Indeed it is! Lovely place, shame I don't get to visit it as often as I would like.
Too fast.
You might like the older video; maybe they were slower a few years ago :) ruclips.net/video/CxHa5KaMBcM/видео.html
You can slow it down in your settings without leaving the video- look for the gear icon- Try setting speed to .75
