Im stoked to get my A73 too. Waiting on the back ordered 24-105 lens though. In the meantime I ordered the Samyang 35mm F2.8 AF and the Sony 85mm F1.8. Enjoy the camera!

@ dyce jones 55mm f/1.8 Sony is great for photos and street photography. It’s expensive but I think it’s well worth it.

a9 wont probably be for you because the video mode is not as sophisticated as with the a7r3/a73. The a7r3 has way more pixels but the video quality isnt as great as the a73 because it uses pixel binning. Might as well look for reviews
A7III is for Video anything with an R is mainly for Photography if your main thing is Video the A7III is for you

Nice unboxing video. 24-105mm is a great lens. I enjoy its versatilty and sharpness. The biggest challenge is finding the lens.. But if you look through websites of smaller camera stores, you will be able to find one at retail price eventually.

Hey Man I just tested the 24-105, at the lens is a beast. If you want the versatility get that lens and if using filters matter since you can not use filters on the 12-24.

Even though by all reports this battery lasts way longer than previous models, I would always suggest still always having a second/backup battery. Amateur, Semi-Pro or Pro doesnt matter... running out of power is just not worth it. More often than not, the one shot you want to get comes at the end of a shoot/day, when batteries are starting to run low. You've already spent $2000-$3000 (depending on currency) on camera body, another $500-$1000 on lens... another $100 is nothing to make sure you have power!

Apurva Agnihotri Nope that’s just for APSC Mode which the a 73 can do but you get this camera because you use it in full frame not crop mode plus I rather have native glass then have to adept it

iNandoTV Unfortunately they don’t have any other brands As of today so you just have to cough up the cash for the Sony brand sucks but that’s how it is for now.
Just to add, wasabi is currently accepting pre orders. Still not released.
There are off-brand batteries on Amazon that you can get now. They suck, though. Just go with the Sony.

Should of got a battery grip. Double your battery life. Know your happy you got it. I would go with the 24-105 .4. You will need that reach.

I got Lexar 128GB Professional 2000x UHS-II SDXC, where did you find the Prograde? I got the screen protector as well, but end up not installing, since it has some Cautions in there that I did not like it, and since it's Sony screen protector, I'm not sure, I'll call Sony first to make sure.
As for lens, well, it depends what you want, 12-24 is for real state and it can be for landscape and architecture as well, the 24-105 f/4 G lens is a all around lens and it was the lens I originally was planing to get. I end up getting the 24-70 f/2.8 GM, that thing is a beast and Very Expensive, so I'm very reluctant to recommend for that matter, but it's certainly a great lens and offer a fairly good bokeh.

coast2coastimagery funny story FedEx shipped my Zhiyun Crane Plus and another $500 worth of camera accessories to my neighbors house and just left it on their door step in the rain XD Nothing was harmed, somehow the rain didn’t soak in side the box.
I am crossing my fingers that they will ship my Sony a7III to the right address on Monday.
FedEx also delayed one of my orders two weeks because of snow storms, needless to say I am pissed that B&H switched from UPS.
We had free next day delivery with UPS where I live so FedEx has also messed that up.
Wooooow!! Good news is your story isn't as bad as some of the others where FedEx didn't even give them a chance to get to the door and took off with their gear

for vlogging i would pick 16-35mm f4
because 12-24mm is way too much distortion and the lens is quite expensive

Lucky Never so I want the 16-35 but I noticed the lense barrel extends when you zoom... I wanted to mount that lense on my Zhiyun Crane Plus but I think the zoom will throw it off balance so I am considering the 12-24. What do you think? Does it matter if the crane is not perfectly balanced?

This card has 200MB/s - the camera records 12,5 MB/s so.... its not neseserly to have such fast SD card.
Sure but if you want to take advantage of a faster buffering them your going to want to use the USH-ii

Dude, you mentioned that you Sold your CANON 5DM4, for that Sony A7iii, Dude your fucking LOST.....I have Canon 1DXM2, 5DM4 and all necessary Canon f/2.8L Series Lenses, like: 16-35mm f/2.8L V3, 24-70mm f/2.8L V2, 70-200mm f/2.8L V3, and other Prime Canon Lenses, like: 40mm f/2.8, 85mm f/1.2L V2, TS-E24mm f/3.5L II. Canon are awesome it becomes to Still/Photo, I have also that Sony a7iii only for my VIDEO using my DJI Ronin S, I have the 28-70mm OSS kit lens of that and FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens. Dude COMPARE the colours between Canon and Sony.....U R LOST......???????

Got the Exact same combo, my local camera shop had the 24-105, A7III arriving today!
I had the same question and decided to go with the 24 105. I’ll eventually buy the 12 24, but for now, with the 24 105 I can go wide at 24 and tight at 105, and I know 24 is not the same as 12, but unless you plan to go landscape shooting only, you’ll miss the range, sooner or later. That was my reasoning anyways.
