Hey! Just came across this! I just moved to Virginia, and the first thing I looked for was good spots. W. Virigina is chock full of them! Ive imaged and captured off high knob, and lokkjng forward to spruce knob (bortle 2) 5k ft elevation. I was just surprised how nice the wv skies are ❤
Hmm. Not sure about that. Probably, but I've never tried to figure that out. But, I've recently switched to Pixinsight, so I'm sure they have a SNR calculator in there somewhere
Great video and final image on the Tadpole Nebula. The WO scope and your setup does a great job capturing it.I will have a go processing the data you provided at some stage. Thanks again and keep up the great content.Clear skies.
@@WVAA304 After watching your video, the clouds cleared in my part of east England and I set up up my rig. It’s blowing a bit with 40mph gusts, but now inspired I’m imaging the Tadpole Nebula and will hopefully get a few hours tonight and maybe 4+ hrs later this week.Plan is to get close to get 75-100 300sec lights with the SW72ED and ASI183MC.
Awesome! That should yield you a great result! That's almost the same setup as me, I'm currently shooting the Flaming Star and tadpoles together with the red cat 51 and my 183... they barely both fit in the frame, lol... but, I think I can make it work
@@WVAA304 Hi Jonathan, I managed to get 54x300sec exposures the other night. I’ll have to see how it goes on Thursday, (next forecast of clear skies) the moon will be high in Taurus I believe and may cause a few issues. Good luck with your imaging with the Redcat. That’s a great combined target of those two nebulae. As always clear skies!
Always a pleasure brother! Check some of the other videos on the channel for some other data.. but, I am working on a video now with some more RAW Data for everyone.. hopefully will post in a day or 2.. thanks for the encouragement! 😃

Can your software actually calculate the SNR value for the exact same small section of each of the 3 stacked images?

Thanks for yours videos, i like your channel, keep going! frome Québec Canada!
