1) Seeing your pets! I'm not sure if they've made an appearance, before, but they're adorable. Your kitty is SO pretty! In my opinion, a house is not a home without a kitty cat in it. (We have 2: Lilo and Stitch)
2) That you've named your plants and have so many. I want to have more plants, but I'm so concerned that my cats will destroy them. I have 1 Christmas cactus that was my grandma's. When she passed away, I asked if I could give one of her many plants a new home. Since getting said plant, I've named it Ginny, after my grandma.
3) Your love of historical things!!! All things history give me so much joy!!! Old homes and buildings, old dressers and things like that, letters, ANYTHING with history attached to it 😁...it all makes me giddy. Just knowing what those places or items could have witnessed...So awesome!!!! (I once drove through Pembroke, Ontario, Canada, where there are a lot of century homes along the main drag. I practically had my head out the window, like a pooch, gawking and squealing with excitement when I saw the plaques that said when the houses were built and I have no regrets in regards to my behavior that day. Lmao)
We've missed you, Lexi...and now I couldn't love you more. 😍

I feel like your vlogs are the perfect treat to start my Sunday! I just made it through the first 60ish pages of Emma last night (while annotating). I’m already loving it so much (annotation helps with some of the outdated language). My edition of the book mentions that Emma was one of Jane Austin’s least favorite books she wrote. I thought that was incredibly interesting, as it’s one of her most popular modern reads. ❤️
This is after DNF’ing a book after 5 pages. I didn’t vibe with the writing style, and I’m trying to get better at moving on from books that don’t click. I know some books will take time to enjoy the plot, but I couldn’t move past the writing style.

Video 170. I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with my dad and his family yesterday (it's actually today, but everyone is doing something today, so they celebrate on the Sunday before). I was able to stay up late (unusual for me lately) and was not tired at all at the end of my day, but today, it's just a few minutes past 11PM now and I wanna sleep. LOL
I'm so very excited to get to your last video and wonder when I will get there. I wonder if I will be able to celebrate that! Heheheh...

I remember I read Station Eleven back in January 2020 when we were just first hearing about COVID (complete coincidence, like I remember being 1/2 way through it the first time I heard about COVID and I was living in Toronto at the time as well), so thinking back on it is honestly so surreal. I think because of that and just like how the story is, that it'll always be a really emotional and special book for me.
I read it last year in March, maybe April, and it was really an emotional ride.

I had such a laugh when you were describing Emma. I read it last year and a little way into the book I was trying to describe my feelings about her to my husband. I was telling him how she was sort of annoying and bit of a know-it-all but honestly she had her heart in the right place and even when she was wrong she was willing to take responsibility for when she erred but she was so..... and then I just stopped. And had an epiphany. And then I looked at my husband's face, and saw he had already reached the same conclusion. And I said "Oh, so, like she's me." LOLOL.

How you feel about station eleven was how I felt about her body and other parties because that deals with a deadly virus and quarantine and it was just so hard and I think because I read it during the pandemic it def affected my enjoyment of the novel

I couldn’t agree more on Station Eleven. I read it in January and I gave it 3.5 stars. I feel like I may have liked this book more if I had read it Pre-Covid.

@@chitochua9016 hey there, Goodreads is used as way to track what books you want to read and those you have read already. You can't actually read any books on there.. it's just for tracking. If you are reading a book you can go into Goodreads and search it and then mark it as "currently reading" and then "read" once your finished and rate it if you want.

I think I saw another comment asking about that! The ones on my desk say “The Collection by Nature Expression Botanicals.” But there are a ton of long matches like that and I have quite a few! I think technically The White Barn/ Bath and Body Works sells them but I find them all of the time at TJ Maxx. Hope that helps!!

I was told she was a Japanese Chin for years so that’s what I tell everyone, but I’ve seen pictures of Tibertan Spaniels and Pekingese and honestly...she could be either of those so I don’t know!! I read station eleven in high school and I loved it it was creepy at times but worth it
