PRACTICE PATIENCE in Painting: NEW Airbrush Ocean Painting Tutorial

This airbrush painting tutorial is for those of you who want to paint something simple. This one is easy and fun to paint! It's a painting of water- a cropped section of the ocean with waves and ripples. I'm using broth transparent and opaque colors and within this video I'll show you all the techniques that I use to paint water, waves, etc. The key with this one is patience- you have to slow down in order to paint in all of these small shadows and highlights. Never thought of painting on MDF, as it seems to suck up paint and primer. Could you please do a video on how you prep it for airbrushing. Thanks

Fantastico. Riesco ad immaginare come potrebbe essere se le ombre fossero azzurro con transizioni al verde. Magari usando, tra uno strato e l'altro di colore, un leggero strato di base trasparente. Ma non so se gli airbrush color sono adatti. Comunque GRAZIE per tutto quello che fai per noi.

Thanks! I'm already a fan of it. You get a lot for you money- excellent control, quality build, low air speed/volume for detail. Hard to find something I don't like to be honest. Could you have used 4040 Bleed Checker to stop the bleed? I know it’s normally used with candy. Just wondering. Or maybe Autoborne Sealer or UVLS?

yeah, those work great. I usually go with matte medium or uvls clear to seal layers if needed.

Are you using the regular illustration white or the opaque illustration white? I find the opaque illustration white covers much better. Createx has an entire line of opaque illustration colors. Thanks for another fantastic video.

I really must ask: what is the thing around your wrist? Is it something to prevent the hose to get in the way? Or something to make it possible to lean on the painting without ruining it with sweat and/or body oils?🤔
Also, want to let you know that I really like your videos. You make airbrushing (look) easy and accessible

Thanks Alvin- I appreciate that! That's called a drawing glove. It's basically a glove with 3 fingers cut out of it. It's mainly used for digital drawing on a tablet but I was using it for what mentioned, keeping my hands off the paint. I usually just use paper to lean on but was just messing around with it trying it out.
