- The one dji mini 4 pro accessory has to be this one! DJI supplied this accessory with the Mini 4 Pro and in my opinion it sucks.

Personally I really like it. It looks good and also protects the downward obstacle avoidance sensors.
Indeed. I guess a lot will like it 👍 thanks 🙏
Totally agree... What a faff on...never had a prop guard in my Mini 3..just dropped it on the bad never had a problem..( just making sure all the props are folded & tucked in) . Got the Mini 4 spend too long with that guard.. Never used it... And never will. Well said Nobby... 👍
Thanks Gary ☺️ I just like to make sure the props don’t get damaged and twonked in the bag 👍
Totally agree, took it off and never used it again, I'm so pleased the algorithm suggested your channel to me, great videos.
Thanks and welcome to the channel. 👍
I remember in the beginning days of operating my 4pro sure it was a pain in the ass to get guard back on! However so was learning to tie up my shoe laces or ride a bike ( when i was a kid of course ) , put the guard on and off 20 + times and you will Master it. DJI did one hell of a nice fit with great materials just my opinion Gang. 1st hold upside down in palm of hand all props in their designated position 2nd attach Guard by lining up Guard feet to Drone feet 3rd flip Guard and Drone over and snap your done. Cheers B
I’m sure it is. For me it’s in the bin haha. Thanks 🙏
exactly what I do too; and like you say, you get used to it; it’s snug and does it’s job of protecting the props 😎
Absolutely@@Dave-sb4iy Fits like a Glove and my Favourite 4 letter word Free.
Yep. Mine went in the drawer. Hair bobble does a great job. 20p each.
Good idea 👍
I totally agree. It takes less time to set everything and get LAANC. than it does to put that stupid prop guard back on. Most of the time I'm actually worried about damaging the props when strapping that thing on.
Exactly 👍
Nobby, absolutely agree with you about the MP4 prop strap that comes with the drone. It was the first thing I took off and never used again.
There’s more plastic used in the strap than there is in the entire drone. It must have been designed by the heavy equipment branch🪝⚙️ of Dji.
haha.. your probably right about the amount of plastic. Maybe they could afford it because the drone weighs so light 😃
Yeah, it's annoying but it is the best protection once strapped on.
Too much hassle and time wasting for me. But agree good protection 👍
👍👍Nobby - LOL I thought I was the only one who hates that freakin' nuclear-bomb-proof 'accessory' and haven't used it since purchase. In fact, I've never liked DJI's haphazard way of storing prop blades on Minis. I remember people complaining of warped blades with their Mini 1s & 2s that apparently got pinched from improper storage. For that reason my Mini 1 was kept mostly stored on a shelf, unfolded. I'm now converting a small accessories case with padding to keep my M4P unfolded. It's not just the props, the M4P folding mechanism and arms feel a bit flimsy compared to my Mini 1 so I'll give up a little storage compactness for piece of mind. After all, the M4P props are so thin and seem to be awfully delicate. In fact, I've already put an 'unplanned' nick in one and had to replace it.
Anyway, stay warm & keep 'em coming young fella! 😁
Some good points Jimbo 👍 thanks 🙏
Great video Nobby, never use them on my other drones until I watched a video on how to fit it and always use it now. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts on the prop protector.
Thanks Shaun 👍
I've got the Skyreat hard case to hold my mini4pro and it takes the plane without that prop guard. It also holds without the need for the gimbal guard as well. Best Dave
Good idea Dave. I have so many dedicated bags 👍 thanks 🙏
Simply Awesome Nobbygreen...lol!
Thanks again!
Happy Flying!
Thanks Paul 😁 🙏
Isn’t that always the way? A brilliant technology , so much capability , incredible technology all to be messed up by one tiny detail !
Exactly! Thanks 🙏
I don't like the factory strap but I use it. A piece of Velcro wrapped around could put pressure on the props, possibly bending them, if the strap is too tight. The DJI strap protects the props, it gets easier the more you use it.
I’m sure it does but it’s not for me. I’ve been using the Velcro since the mini 3 pro with no problems. You just don’t wrap it too tight 👍 thanks
@@nobby-greenyou think that would be common sense. 🤦🏽♂️
@@benyosep5640 indeed 🤷♂️
Takes me 15 mines to put on, I binned it and use a rubber band now
can't fault you! 👍
Sorry, This is the best fitting prop guard they've ever included. When installed there is Zero pressure on the props which can lead to Warping.
I honestly wish All prop guards were this good.
Glad you like it 👍
How about a rubber band? Simple and easily obtainable, serves the purpose and it is removed/placed back in matter of seconds. Flexible also so it doesn't damage props.
You can indeed as long as it doesn’t affect the props 👍
Totally agree...This strap is a pain in the ....!!! Velcro is much easier...
Sure is Alain ☺️ thanks 🙏
I agree that the prop holder for the Mini 2 is quite good. I used your Velcro strap idea for the Mini 3 pro for quite a while and it is a great fix. But then I bought the “Official DJI” prop holder for the Mini 3 Pro. It took me a few times to get it to not feel so stiff and I use it as it is very protective. You might feel the same way about the Mini 3 Pro holder as you do about the one that came with your Mini 4 Pro. My overall takeaway is that the Velcro strap is the most convenient and it does exactly what a person wants it to do. Cheers from Wisconsin, U.S.A. Nobby.
Thanks George. I much prefer the velcro on all of my drones 👍
I use the top part of an old sock lol easy to put on and remove and cost nothing.
Great idea 👍 whatever works for you ☺️
Hello there Ok ask you different subject question ? M3P controller is there way make letters/numbers on screen bigger (older eyes) lol. Thanks
Yes you can. Go to control settings and select display zoom. You will need to install the latest update for this to work 👍
Likewise, I've been using the velcro strapping for a while now. 👍 Such a quick and simple application 👌
Cant fault you 👍
I used mine 1 or 2 times then I ordered a good one off of Amazon. I have the mini 2 and I like its guard.
Great stuff 👍
I have the Mini 2 and 4 and find both straps fine........the M4 is not as intuitive to fit as the M2 strap, but once you have done it a few times it goes on pretty quicly and I think sets the props into a position where they a well protected?
Agreed but still a pain in the neck 🤨 thanks 🙏
I just use a short length of double sided velco tape like you which works fiine
It sure does. Simple solution thanks 🙏
I use elastic bands .....no fuss no frills does better job
why not if it works for you 👍
Hi Nobby can you tell me where you got the Velcro tape . I have the same problem. Thanks Terry
Hi Terry there’s a link in the description 👍
Amazon has great third party guards also.
I've been debating in getting a JDI mini 3 pro or 4 for mountain biking any ideas?
If it was me i would go for the Mini 4 Pro with the extra features. 👍there's a link in the description.
The trick is - use this belt on your drone far aft as far you can 🙂
😁 thanks 🙏
Its one of those things that is totally over the top as fitting goes. When its on, its genius. Fits to every curve and recess of the drone. But the cost of a perfect fit is its a nighmare to put on. You need three hands. One for the drone and two to fit the strap . I have mastered it and used it ever since. I think a simple solution next time DJI is to make the same strap design, but softer material and it would work smoothly. Its too rigid
Exactly! Spot on 👍
Glad it’s not just me nobby thought the same as you keep the great work up with the videos 👍
Thanks buddy 👍
That prop guard looks like over kill as you say mate simple is better nice one mate
It is over kill Johnny i reckon it weighs more than the drone 😀 Thanks 👍
I dont use that, I just use rubber band or just chuck in the bag
Yep 👍 rubber band works if it’s not too tight thanks 🙏
I threw mine away, right out of the box 😂😂
haha.. can't fault you thanks 👍
You just did a great tutorial for how to use it, but yeah i get it.
Haha.. hardly Thanks🙏
I totally agree with you. Very educational
Thanks 🙏 glad you found it useful 👍
It's about a millimeter too short. And I gotta press against the drone to actually click it in. Great I also use a Velcro strap! Even on my toy Drones. Do u still fly toy Drones ?
I think it’s a bit more tbh. No just DJI drones 👍 thanks 🙏
LOL, I just use a thick elastic band.
That’s ok so long as you don’t put strain on the blades 👍
I agree with you it was a pain to put on
Thanks 🙏
People actually throw them away? You'll wish you hadn't when you sell the drone.
Probably the only reason to keep it 👍
I've never used any prop holders.. My mini 3pro fits snug in its moulded to fit perfectly case... Same with the case for my RC PRO..... at the end of every video of yours the music conjures up images of the seven dwarfs off to work.... 😅
The moulded cases are good, but i have enough to carry as it is 😁 And as for the dwarfs lol.
I bought a proper guard from Amazon made for the M4P very like the Mini2 guard, works a treat, threw the other one in the bin..useless!
I guess there is some good after market ones 👍 thanks 🙏
I never missed it on the mini 3 pro and it just annoys me on the mini 4 pro
I know the feeling 😁
Yea it’s definitely a weird design. They must’ve been too busy adding all those features to concentrate on this. Lol. I gotta get me some of that Velcro. It’s on Kristi’s list. Hahaha
I think you’re right Kevin. Last minute thought 👍 Velcro on all of mine so quick and simple. Looks like Kristi is paying then lol 😜
I think the prop guard is built for a left handed person. Every time that I use it (being a right handed person) I think that the strap should go the other way around.
Definitely Bob 👍
I'm left handed and it annoys me too 😅
@@johnmacbikerie haha. That’s that theory out the window then 😁
Velcro works for me
Yep. Simple and quick 👍 thanks 🙏
The prop guard is way too fiddly and you need to practice and devise a sequence of how to attach it properly. Too much work lol
Exactly. Too much hassle 👍
So, you dont wear foot wear that uses laces?
@@aloeisthestuff9622 much prefer slip-ons or zipped boots 🥴
@@aloeisthestuff9622hahaha. I think you have him confused with me, Aloe. You know I’m not coordinated and trip on my laces every time I wear shoes! That’s why I opt for the flip flops. Walking and chewing gum is a recipe for disaster, too. No one needs to see that.
Completely agree Nobby, binned mine after the first couple of days and bought a roll of velcro, far too fiddly and the force you need to apply to close that clip can't be good for the drone!
Yep. Especially if its not quite on right. 👍
Not much to add there but I absolutly agree 100%
Glad it’s not just me 😁👍
I threw mine in the corner and haven't looked at it since, junk
😁 you and many it would seem Terry thanks 🙏
I brought propeller guard third party off Amazon.
Yes there are a lot for sale 👍
Velcro good. Hard plastic buly thing bad.
Indeed! Thanks🙏
Ditto!
Thanks 🙏
@@nobby-green I have the same two prop guards. The Mini 4 Pro prop guard is maddening! Thanks for the solution Nobby!
@@hammondge you’re welcome ☺️ 👍
I agree! That prop guard is terrible.
Totally 👍
