So, uhm....wow. A million views. As silly as this may sound, I'd like to thank anyone who ever came by here to watch this clip, whether you see this message or not. Silent Hill 2 has always remained one of my top games. Not because it's psychological horror, but it's psychological struggle. And it came across brilliantly in this game. The music, the themes, the sheer ability to compose your own narrative and not be wholly disregarded. Been almost 20 years, and I'm very glad to see this community still persists, despite whatever setbacks the series had with inconsistent or uninspired plots. You all have my utmost thanks, and I hope you all made the remake enough of a success to, at the very least, keep the flame going long enough to reinvent the wheel. I long since thought the series should've died, once PT was canceled. But if a team like Bloober could capture that spark I felt all those years ago, then I'd happily admit....I might've been wrong.
The theme of Lara that plays in this opening is what got me into the game recently. But yeah if people like me are joining the community after all this time, then hopefully this series becomes great again.
I got this game as a gift, the first time I opened it, the background music was playing and I thought it was an action game, until the middle of the game, I thought the opening didn't fit the atmosphere, but it really impressed me after I finished it.

This is what was fascinating to me about silent hill. The first game was great, but it felt like the story had a finality to it, however its sequel proved that silent hill itself was an entity that didn't just tie itself to the cast of the first game, the pull and energy of the town effected the lives of many people completely unrelated to the story of Alessa, Harry and the others, its power pulled in many to it and created a hell for them either to overcome or be consumed by.

I was hoping for Homecoming 2 :(
You amazing for being on here since 2006 and STILL have an active channel. So many of the OG's left after a few years. But not you, you the king. 👑
Big high hopes on Townfall and BIGGER HIGHER hopes on Silent Hill _f_ which the two perfectly encapsulates the contrast between the horrors of west and east, and how both has their key strengths in their respective storytelling.
Thank you for archiving this opening for years! ^^v
You forgot townfall
I watched your video at 2007 with my other account. Now I m here again. Played this game many times. I miss old times. Probably best game ever created in this universe.
Daaaaamn there’s something about ps2 graphics that breaks my mind .
Silent hill 2 and Metal gear solid 3 was the best Konami gave us! And probably the best of the console .
I hope they keep this in the remake
Konami and Bloober Team....DO NOT screw this remake up!
Dude, its is better to think it will be bad not to be dissapointed...another time.
@@fleshtearer4399 that's how I deal with Resident Evil remakes nowadays, Silent Hill is at its first remake so the hype is justified.
dude, you can't remade a masterpiece, this game has a lot of details that it probably will be ruined in the remake, because of the new animation they will want to make this game look like a modern movie and agh... i'm probably with an unpopular opinion right now but i hope they don't ruin a this masterpiece of game
A 15 year old silent hill video just got recommended to me, amazing.
Such a beautiful sound track. Makes me feel like I’m missing something and at the stage of idk what to call it
This game still haunts me. One of the few games that had me contemplating the outcome after the ending.
I came here at full speed after seeing the remake's new trailer. Gotta pay respect to the OG
silent hill 2 was one of the best games that i was play. masterpiece
Welcome to Silent Hill!
I see you are new here. So here, have a brochure and be sure to visit our cult---I mean church.

انا اختمها اول مرة على XBOX 360 SLIM
this video makes me wish i was born as a millennial, early 2000s are making me feel wildly nostalgic and idk why
... This remnant of awesome horror quality... Fuck you, KONAMI, you murdered it... Let you be damned for it...
Soo many years have passed and still..😢❤️
